Games like that are the reason i want to get a 360.

I haven't been playing any games recently. Been too busy with acting, finding a job and finishing a CD demo. Busy days!

Anyone else check out Dragon Age: Origins. Its on the two major consoles, as well as PC. Its a pretty good RPG with some great replayability. Im on my second playthrough with a mage, I had finished the game last week with my warrior.

Its definitely one of the better RPGs on the PS3 (next to Sacred 2 of course...)

Spent 50 hours on my first character, getting all the characters and doing all the subquests as possible. It's very detailed... and like many Bioware games, story-driven. There are choices which are neither quite good or evil, but they do affect how some characters perceive you. In fact, there are points where your components fundamentally disagree with you, they may attack you.

I don't know when I'll replay it, but its certainly possible given the number of achievements. You'll need at least 6 plays to go through each character's origin story. There are some romance achievements and skill master achievements, as well as plot-point ones. All and all, very nice for an RPG :)

Yeah, I have about 75% of the trophies. The game definitely requires three full playthroughs to get each class to level 20, plus you get the trophy for getting "intimate" with someone and for making major decisions. I played through all six of the origin stories to get their trophies.

But yeah, it is definitely story-driven, which I love. That was my problem with Sacred 2. While I loved the gameplay, there was absolutely no story to go with at all.

Same. I'm a single-player storyline guy. If it doesn't have a good single player story, it isn't worth my time.

That's why I loved C&C and Red Alert... and totally loathe the unentertaining and underwelming C&C: Generals.

I bought myself an N64 the other day. Such a good console! Best multiplayer and quite a few fun games. I replayed through Star Wars Racer. I have yet to try the multiplayer but the Single Player is solid and entertaining. The only problem I spotted was the short length of it. Maybe its due to how fast the pds go. :P

Mass Effect 2 is an absolute blast. It's just like the first one, but better :)

Or if you have a computer...

(Granted the first game was launched on Xbox first and then ported to PC. They did it right this time with Mass Effect 2, releasing both at the same time)

I dont do PC games. I would rather spend my money on a console then on buying a higher end PC to play games. I current laptop can barely handle Rebellion as it is...

Borderlands is addicting as all hell... Some buddies and I just got it, and there are few things more satisfying than watching a Badass Bruiser's blow up into a bloody pulp when you shoot him with a high-powered Elemental sniper rifle. I highly recommend it!

I've also been playing Prototype, which is pretty engaging. It's essentially a hack-and-slash game, with very little strategy to it, but you look so damn cool every time you do... well, anything, that you can't help but enjoy it. Plus, I enjoy the release that comes from mauling half the population of New York City.

Borderlands was a heck of a lot of fun. I rented it through Gamefly for awhile. I have been tempted to by it, but with all the DLC they are popping out for it, Im holding out for a (very possible) game of the year edition that will have it all included for the same price.

Prototype is on my list of games to eventually rent. I played a bit of it at my friends house, and it was fun. Reminded me of InFamous.

Right now Im being sucked into Bioshock 2, which is a blast. They took all that was the first game, tweaked a few things to make them better, and then released it. Its freakin awesome!!!

Today i had a spell of Madness. I just received my paycheck for January and I walked into the local Megastore. Then all went blank.

Next thing i know I'm walking out of the store with a 13'' Macbook Pro, a 1tb portable HD, Bioshock, Oblivion, Assassin's Creed and The Force Unleashed.

I love hating myself.

Has any one played Settlers 7 ?

I am not sure what to think about it. It does not seem to be like the ones from the past versions (I played them all from the beginning). Of course having a human player is much better, it is directed toward multiplayer much more than past versions. Sadly, the DRM they use is not very good. I still have it auto freeze on me since patch 1.03....

I understand it has to do with anti-piracy; but wow, they throw the baby out with the bath water, as the saying goes. 8O

I just got ahold of Medieval Total War II- haven't tried it out yet, but it's supposed to be good... and it was cheaper than Empire: Total War or Napoleon: Total War, so I figured, "What the heck- even if it is finals week in nine days?"

I picked up Red Dead Redemption today, and am really enjoying it, after getting an hour of playtime in today. I wasn't a fan of the GTA games (well, the newer ones...I LOVED GTA II), but I checked the game out and PAX and was very interested. They should have made a good Western game on the next-gen systems much sooner!

New Goldeneye... for Wii - while I'm not impressed by the graphics, it's still Goldeneye. I'd expect it's all the Wii's graphics can actually handle. But heck, if it delivers on the multiplayer it will be a blast!

Donkey Kong Country was one of the classics on N64. I loved this one

I just picked up Oblivion: Game of the Year Edition for a song on Steam... lotsa fun. $8.50 for tons of entertainment, if a bit glitchy from time to time.... though that might be because I've played it way too dang much. thirty-some hours in three or four days. You know, a healthy amount.

So speaking of glitchy, I bought Mass Effects 1 and 2 for PC yesterday, and it was a bear getting them to run. Now that they run, ME 1 crashes right before I get to actual gameplay on Eden Prime... Grr.... I'm browsing the Interwebs for tech support; looks like I'm not the only one with these issues.
