I rather like the first one

I'm still in my dark-side game, but it's quite hard to do that with Bastila and Juhani always reminding me, that bending the minds of the vendors is not what the force is for.

Seeing the story arc for the second one tells me, that they don't mind the original timeline again. Every Jedi dead, except for one ? I've never read about that so far in any of the official sources. :?

Nevertheless, a cool game and definately one that I'll play :D

No, it's just that ATI can't seem to program working drivers.

The cards are good, though.

KOTOR was an great game. I've played it on both Xbox and Computer and they are both great. also KOTOR on the computer is much better quality if the computer is better than the Xbox. If the second game is better than the first then it probably wont run that well on a Xbox.

Anyone know how to get the PC version to work on a Ati Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP video card? I beat the minimum requirements and still get 0 frame rate.

PM me if you have ideas

I cant wait till KotOR II is released, i brought the first one and in the first week of owning i was averaging 4 hours of sleep a night...its one of the few games that could suck me into its story line.

Needless to say within the first 2 weeks, i clocked it 3 times. And if the second one is better then the first (which i think it will be), then ill be preordering it.

I have a 9200 (128 meg ram) and it works well on my pc. Tho my pc is only 3 months old. Im running the game at 800x600 but i can run it at 1280x1024 with only a minor decrease in performance (just enough to detract from smooth gameplay), in 1024x768 mode it can stutter occasionally.

My pc did set me back a fair bit, proberbly shouldve gone for something a bit cheaper but...i thought might as well buy something good then having to upgrade 6 months later. My specs are P4 3.2 HT, 1Gb ram, 9200 128meg, and SB live Platinum 5.1 running XP home.

Anyway thats just my input...proberbly not really relavent.

Supposedly there is only 1 Jedi left. You meet more in your adventure of course. As for the story, in the beginning of the game you meet someone or something that asks if you joined with your former padawan or killed him. That affects the rest of the story as i would imagine and hopefully a better game will be made for it.

Ahh, Morrowind version of Star Wars would be nice, but not going to happen. Plus it'd be kinda hard to lock in player to only one world, although completely possible if it's a padawan who crashed onto the planet, had his master killed and now is trying to get off.. Hmm! :D

Single player Galaxies? You mean like playing Galaxies online.. except without other people? *Gasp* That would be fun! You could play it forever except that 99% of the time you'd spend grinding! w00t

p.s. love how they're killing the continuity with this "one jedi left" crap.

Well as the story goes...its supposedly only 1 Jedi that the dark forces know about. As for continuity....this story takes place like what 4000 years before Episode 1 so i would imagine its alright if the goof around a little unless in books they might have said differently......

The thing I dont like about Sith Lords is....where is Revan? I know they left the ending ambiguous as to what gender Revan was but with Sith Lords and assuming if Revan had won in KOTOR is...how is there a different apprentice than Bastila?

FINISHED !!!!

Finished kotor2 in 42 hours of gaming.

Don't worry, Revan is in Kotor 2 too. Most of the stories are about him, and you'll get to face him in a vision. Bastilla and Carth are also in the game. You'll meet them almost at the end...

HIM? I'm afraid that's up for discussion ;).

Haven't gotten around to *acquiring* KOTOR2 yet but I won't be making the same mistake of buying it in a store again :) (figure out for yourself how else a person can get a game).

I think it was better in that the only character (other than Carth) that gets rehashed is Revan, if you exclude the droids. The gameplay isn't different really. I like the new Force powers, as well as the fact that you have to actually build a lightsaber from components this time. As I have yet to finish it, I'll leave it at that.

History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.

Personally, I think that the KOTOR games are two of the best I've ever played. I rented the first one last summer and played it for about a week, then I had to turn it back in half-finished. I decided to go ahead and buy it and I finished the game towards the end of the summer. I absolutely loved it despite the fact that you can't actually fight--only give your character commands--I usually hate games like that, but this one was awesome. Months later, when Christmas came around, I bought KOTOR 2.

I beat this game in a much quicker time-- I think 40 hours or something, but it was still great. I would have to say the first one was better because it was the first to introduce a new story, characters, concept, creatures, etc...and the second one just had more of the same--which is still good!

Anyway, enough of my ranting, does anyone know if they're going to make a third KOTOR?
