Glad you liked it  And it's available for download already so go have some fun!

I think, I'll be calling it quits for the time being with modelling. I've got to get through something for RR and that'll be it until I finish Uni for the year - with exceptions of my usual experiments

Dear Mother of God! What super modeling inducing drug are you taking because I want some. :D

Seriously this is crazy good.
Have you tested weather the Drive engine light... thingy shows up well in game yet?
(Man I'm busy with my job now. I should probably stop trying to play Fable. :) )

It's the drug of . . . . nope, aint got nothing  :P

Can't remember how the engines came out in game - without the game engine supporting self-illumination textures (generally a gray scale textures that "lights" up sections of the texture irrelavent to scene lighting), there's little that can be done.
This is a problem I've had with most models and I might experiement to see how to fix it. The original models had the engines on the surface of the ship and not in actual engine shaped objects which might be casting a shadow or equivalent.

The model comes up pretty well - though there are a few clipping problems in different areas.
When I "re-release" the model, I think I'll make it phisically larger in game to help with the problems. When I had it in the game not properlly scalled, I didn't notice any problems with glitches (re-enforcing my belief about the engines small z-buffer). But is too big for the actual game

Ok, since people have started asking me about the NJO mod again it's time to ask the incredible model makers here for a request or two.

Current request is the Hapan Nova class Battlecruiser.

Found some nice diagrams of several ships taken from the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessles here.
http://mitglied.lycos.de/STARWARS_Bluep ... eships.htm

And a Tripod link which has a nice description attached.

Holy cow check out these animated Gif's! Ones a very nice Nova.

Please note that i am going to release a debugged version of the world ship as well. Just one question. Do you like its size or should i resize it?

Umm.... I need to re-check it again. The Worldship looked ok (Though bigger is always better  ) But the only ship I really compared it to was an MC-80b that the Rebels were attacking it with.

I wouldn't be too concerned about resizing it.

Which ship is that Mad? It looks like a Nebulon-B 2 or something. If it's from the EU that would explain why I don't recognise it though, I tend to ignore the descriptions and make up my own appearances in my mind .

EDIT:Never mind, I just read the first part of your post. I tend to gravitate towards pictures and then text when I'm reading posts. Now that I acutally know what it is, looks good Mad :D.

I found a better description of the ship after looking a bit harder. Most sites put this ship at a length of 400m. (To the ISD's 1,600m  so lots smaller.)
Holy Cow Toguro, that avatar's getting to be a bit large.

Quote:
The following information is available for the Hapan Nova Battle Cruiser.

Hapes Nova-Class Battle Cruiser ( Historic Information)

Hapes Nova-class battle Cruiser are fast combat cruiser designed to supplement Hapan Battle Dragons. These battle cruisers are four hundred meters long and bristled with weaponry; they often command task forces charged with guarding the boarders of the hapan cluster. Hapes Nova Cruisers maintain sufficient supplies for a year of continuous operation. These fearsome ships have proved powerful enough to discourage many pirates and smugglers from trying to enter the hapan cluster. The Hapes Nova Battle Cruiser is less than a decade old and incorporates the latest Hapan breakthroughs in technology, not to mention a number of advancedes that were stolen from imperial corporations such as kuat drive yards and sorosuub. The result is a Cruiser that is exceptionally swift at sublight and light speeds.

The Hapes Nova Battle Cruisers main weapons are twenty-five turbolasers utilized for engaging capital ships. Ten laser cannons are mounted to handle fighters and small freighters, and another ten ion cannons are added to enable the ships to disable and capture enemy vessels. The Cruisers carry two squadrons of Hapan MiyTil fighters and six Hetrinar Assault Bombers. They can carry drop ships or landing barges as well as ground troops and combat vehicles, but normally hapes nova cruisers are assigned to escort larger troop ships for planetary invasions. Because of Hapans limited turbolaser technology, Hapes Nova Cruisers must choose their battles carefully. Since the hapan turbolaser take nearly three times as long as imperial turbolasers to recycle, a hapes nova cruiser can find itself incapable of returning fire at the most inopportune time.

To counteract this weakness, the Hapans often assign Nova Cruisers in groups of three or more ships. Hapan Captains tend to favor swift, brutal assaults, intending to destroy all enemy ships with the first attack. This approach has added to the Hapans reputation for vigorously defending thier borders. Taking a cue from mon calamari designs, hapes nova battle cruisers built in recent years have added backup shield generators.

These newer ships also have been refitted with larger power generators so that they do not suffer from the power shortages that tend to plauge Hapan Battle Dragons. however these additions take up a great deal of the ships interior space, eliminating the second squadron of fighters. Prince isolder, in his quest to earn leias hand in marrige, offered to give a Nova Battle Cruiser to han solo if he would cease his efforts to win leias heart. solo refused, instead kiddnapping leia and spiriting her away to the distant world of Dathomir.

DOUBLE POST!!!
Oh teh noes!!!1111one

Mad, I know you're busy getting into that other project you've just paired up for, but I was wondering about the Nova's status before you got moving along.

It'd be great to be able to cross one more ship off the list. Doesn't need to be super-duper detail finished, anything'd be fine.
