 Post subject: AI in the Warlords mod...

I've been playing this mod to DEATH for a while, and here's one thing that's been bugging me...the way the AI play the game...Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but this is been really irking me

Main Issue 1
AI at playing da game
1) They have resource collectors, they collect resourses, however they don't really to do too much unless they are attacked or harried in any way. Or they all just save up for the 2nd production factory, the X-7.

2) When they are attacked, AI's will try to just spam defensive platforms, which then you counter and that's all they do for the

3) When they have that, all they do is spam corvettes, frigates, and low tier destroyers.

4) After that, then the computer try to work up to the cruisers, which they hardly produce

Maybe there could be a way to set the different AI to have different attack/playing styles?

You know, have one AI play as like a corvette/fighters with heavy destroyers, or one that uses fighters like crazy with some support untill they get crusiers, or one who uses their forces as defence untill they can mount a crazy counter attack... etc etc etc

Main Issue 2
AI seems to be kinda dumb (hehe...i called a computer dumb!)

5) AI attack in a straight line, unless they see your resource collecters, in which they just attack automatically. Kinda predictable

6) AI do not use cloak, hyperspace, tactics, or any sensors or anything like that

What's of having hyperspace/cloak sensors when the enemy doesn't use it?

I suppose for multiplayer, but not everybody plays the mutiplayer, or have people on to play multiplayer.

This is the only thing i'd like to see be changed, and i'd be one happy camper.

I'll get around to donating soon, i'll think.

I don't believe there are any ways to actually rewrite the AI. I assume it has different conditions based on difficulty, but I don't know if there are ways to make different profiles. It's all pretty much controlled by number parameters, so maybe there is a way to at least hint to the AI what to do.
