OOC - Just an idea i had the other day - a place for everyone's characters to meet, have a drink and a chat with the nearest, soberest sentient creature...

Feel free to "come" and "leave" as you please, but try to make it fairly obvious as to whether you are "still there" or have "left".

IC - T'char sat at the bar, a pint of corellian ale in hand, listening to the mellow tones of the Jizz-Wailers playing in the corner. The bar was close to empty, the usual after work crowd yet to show up. He sat alone, waiting for someone friendly to have a conversation with.

"I thank you, my friend, for it is in your death that the Scorekeeper finds my true worth."

Guest Scathane

Scathane was reday for a drink. All this adventure had worn him out. Naturally, there was no better place to go for some R&R than his favorite cantina.

OOC - Nice idea, tchar!

IC: Karn stepped through the door way of the cantina, soaking up the atmosphere. It was dark inside, not an unpleasant darkness - rather a sothing one. The cantina was full of many beings of all different origins and of all different appearances. Karn walked to the bar.

"Give me something Corellian - preferably brandy," Karn told the bar keep. It was the first time in months that he had been able to pull away from work within the Rebellion to get some rest. Looking along the bar he spotted a familur face - T'Char. He didn't know him well, though he had met him on occasion yet had never talked. Now seemed like the perfect time. Karn walked up to T'chat and took a seat next to him.

"Hey, remember me? Karn." He said sticking out his hand . . .

OOC - Thanx guys! :D

IC - "Uh, hi" said T'char, accepting the handshake. "Yeah, i think i remember meeting before, Karn." He gestured to the bar. "Take a seat. What's your poison?" As Karn sat, T'char desperately searched his memory for anything he could remember about the character beside him.

OOC - I don't think ive met Karn before, only Rantar...

PS - do i know you, krytos? (so many locals getting in on the action, can't keep track of them all...)

OOC: Well, I don't think we know each other well - both in and out of the RPG. Though, like you said you know Rantar and they're kinda simular (that and I forgot which RPG I saw you on ). I guess we can introduce ourselves then, start from the beginning as we only know each other in passing. P.S. I live in Victoria - been to Tassy once though - damn nice country side, and lovely Cadberry factory  !

IC: Karn smilled. T'char appeared to be searching his memory for when they had met before.

"Can't place me? Well no real surprise - we've only met in passing. So, I guess this is a good time to get to know each other. The name's Karn, Karn Macen." Karn said sitting at the bar next to T'Char, at the moment the bar keeper arrived with his brandy. He took a refreshing sip, and put it back down.

"Well, were to start? I work for the Rebellion - ah, just don't tell any Imperials. I'm a native Corellian, I own my own ship, a CC-5500 frigate the Reckless Wonderer. She's a bute - 200 metres long Corellian frigate, plenty of weapons and cargo space to do my other jobs . . . ah, I can't tell you about them just yet." Karn caught onto the fact that he was yet to really get to know T'Char, and already he had told him that he was a Rebel and hinted towards being a smuggler for the Alliance as well. Ah, I can always fight my way out of trouble.

Karn waited for the Trandoshan to talk, hoping he wouldn't star with Yeah, I'm actually a bounty hunter worknig for the Empire . . . FREEZE! Though, somehow he doubted that.

OOC: I'm guessing you're still a Trandoshan like in your other RPG?

Ulic Horn, the Ex-Corsec turned smuggler walked into the bar, it wasn't to bad. All he needed right now was a drink and a place to kill some time. He sat down at the bar, and waved the bar tender down, "Hey, Corellian scotch, preferably something aged a little." He said, he looked around the bar to examined its patrons.

"It's not my fault!"

"Oh yeah? What's in it for me?"

Loran Baumer stepped into the room his eyes flicked across the bar then shrugging he settled into one of the booths. He tapped the holoprojector in the table's center and a holographic attendant appeared, "House Ale."

Darac Noreto descended calmly into the cantina, the smoke and the definitely alien atmosphere overwhelmed him. Today he was not an Imperial Admiral, today he was only one among millions of being that went into a cantina for a drink.

His demeanor imposed respect, but a respect that flowed from the aura of experience, he knew despite the hatred directed at him, that no one would date to attack him. He moved to the bar and tapped the bar tender.

"Undarian Adkov," the bartender grumphed and went to the end of the bar to prepare the drink and give it to the human.

Noreto, enticed by some special adaptation of Sabacc moved to the game table.

Ulic was brooding over his drink and staring down at the bar surface. He took a swig and finished off his glass of scotch. "Bartender gimmie a Corellian Wiskey." he said putting a couple of credits down.

"It's not my fault!"

"Oh yeah? What's in it for me?"

Admiral Thrawn stepped into the cantine, two stormtroopers in tow. Upon seeing the Imperials most of the patrons stiffened, some slowly slinking away, presumably to hidden exits close by.

Cocking an eyebrow Thrawn signaled for the stormtroopers to wait outside. With military precision they departed, the hiss-clang of the dorrs shutting behind them placing the patrons at ease.

Walking up to the bar and selecting the cleanest available stool,, Thrawn ordered a rare vintage of Aldaraanian wine. When the bar tender returned, the admiral placed more than enough credits on the bar, but after a brief look at the rank insignia, the bar keep smiled and said "On the house, sir."

Scowling, Thrawn reached down and removed the rank pin and code cylenders, and walked to the nearest booth, taking his drink, but leabing the credits.

By now the rumbling over his arrival had subsided, and most of the patrons had returned to their conversations. There were some familiar faces, both Imperial and Rebel, though the latter only from intellignece reports. All of that was of little concern, though. This was off time, and there was no room for business in off time.

Ulic hardly noticed the GA's entrance even with the Stormies. His ship was in need of repairs and he'd just lost a friend and he figured he could spend some time drinking instead.

"It's not my fault!"

"Oh yeah? What's in it for me?"

Loran didn't notice Thrawn's entrance, his eyes starred at the bottom of his mug, his mind wandering. Slowly he lifted his mug and took another sip of its simple contents. His analytical mind wandered across the taste, some charbote root, corellian cafe grinds, and a hint of coruscanti choclate, along with the normal tastes of an ale. A smile flickered across his lips as he took another swig, he had to remember this place.

Loran's eyes glanced across the bar and stopped on Admiral Darac Noreto, his father had told him about the Admiral, along with the adventures both his parents had fought through. Kirk Baumer was a general now, with ships to command and Lara Jules Baumer was his operations officer. Loran shrugged and ran his hands through his dirty blond hair, "Admiral Noreto, please have a seat, my father has told quite a few tales about you."

The elderly Admiral looked at the young man, who had come closer. The face of the man was remarkably familiar and the comment on his father was all he needed to know.

"You are Baumer's son?" The Admiral broke in a warm booming laughter.

The laughter had a contagious effect on the younger man who could not help but laughed lightly as well.

"How is your old guy? It must have been centuries since I last heard of him." He looked at the happy expression in the young man. "Few tales?" and Noreto continued to laugh. "I also have a few tales of your father, you put him in his flightsuit in any TIE and he'd vape half a squadron in a single battle! But if you had him in dress uniform, marching down the Grand Alderaanian Pavillion he was as defenseless and uncomfortable as a young Jawa on Hoth."

Noreto turned to the bartender who immediately filled his drink and spotted Grand Admiral Thrawn.

"Ah, Thrawn you have decided to inspect and analyze the decorations of cantinas in case there will be a war against bartenders?"

A sligh smile crossed Thrawn's face.

"Indeed. I have determined that we'd stand no chance. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the architecture in this building, and there is no artwork to be heard of. I'm afraid these bartenders would be fart too unpredictable to engage. That, or our troops would defect, preferring a good ale to military service."

He rose from his seat and crossed the short distance to where the two men were conversing. Now that he was closer, he inspected the younger man, noting the casual demeanor in which the man held himself. Clearly a pilot.

"I don't believe we have met," Thrawn said, extending his hand, "Grand Admiral Thrawn."

Ulic tried hard to ignore the Grand Admiral. One right now he was a smuggler and not on best terms with the Empire and two he really wanted to give Thrawn a piece of his mind, but saying the wrong thing could really mess up his life.

"It's not my fault!"

"Oh yeah? What's in it for me?"

Zruti wasn't used to being there in person. He was usually far away from anything as dangerous as this. Being one of the crime lords, he shouldn't have to be there in person, but this was something he had to do by himself. He walked over to a dismall looking lifeform.

"Do you know where I can find someone who knows about the Xoroj Crystal..." the creature looked up.

"Be at peace, for the force is my ally and I shall not let anything happen out of my contol."

Ulic ordered another drink, "Luminium Ale," he said putting down more credits. They way he was thinking right now he could sure go for a card game or something, a swoop race , anything to take his mind away from the current time. He decided unless Thrawn spoke to him he wouldn't say a thing to that...thing. No, he wasn't a bigit, it wasn't because he was Chiss it was because he was Imperial.

"It's not my fault!"

"Oh yeah? What's in it for me?"

"Ah, a corellian craft. Good choice. My ship - NightHawk I - is a modified corellian YV-666 freighter. It really performs very well. There's nothing like good Corellian Enginering." T'char peered into his mug.

"There's nothing much like o good Corellian ale either, for that matter. Anyway, im in the bounty hunting business myself. My ...other... jobs do ocasionaly involve work for the alliance, so your little secret's safe with me..."

OOC - Yup, i'm still the grumpy trandoshan!

Alex walked in, keeping his eyes and his course firmly fixed on the bar. He was still in a lousy mood over his posting, and he planned to drink hiself into a better mood. Who knew; he might even drink himself social, though he rather doubted it.

As he sat down, he noticed the blue-skinned Imperial officer, and searched his memory. His father had mentioned something about a "cold, brass-bound, blue-hided genius", but when Alex has pressed for detail, his father had clammed up and refused to speak any further.

"I...I don't believe it!"

"THAT is why you fail."

"Haha, good to hear!" Karn laughed with T'Char. He was releived that he wasn't working for the Empire. "I guess it's safe to say that you as much love for the Empire as I. Yeah, there's nothing like a Corellian ship though. Fast, robust, powerful and very modular."

Karn pulled his drink to his lips and took another sip, letting the taste fill his mouth before he put the glass back down. As he put his glass down he noticed another familur face, this one more familur than T'Char's.

Without thinking, Karn called out to Ulric. "Ulric you old ground pounder! Come over here and join us!"

Ulic picked up his glass and put down a couple more credits. "Sharing a drink they call lonliness, still better than drinkin alone." He walked over and sat down.

"It's not my fault!"

Loran smiled faintly at the two imperial officers, "Please have a seat, we may be on different sides on this war, but you've both shown yourself to be honorable. Especially you Admiral Thrawn, though I suppose my father's defection at Sluis Van came as something of a suprise, let alone the A-wings."

Both the Admirals glanced at each other, they both remembered the battle, still there were things about the engagement which weren't spoken of.

Tython strolled into the bar. He had just arrived for the beginning of his hard earnt long service leave. he walked over to the bar and ordered a drink as he waved to T'char. After getting his ale he strolled over to enquire about who T'chars new friends were. As he got closer he knowtest that another person was also joining the table. At the moment the conversation seemed to be focused on Corellian Ships. "An excellent ship for freighters. but there fighters leave much to be desired." Tython said in opening. "By the way. My name is Tython." He added.

OOC: Welcome to the conversation Phytho :D

"Ah, looks like we've got a debat on our hands, " Karn said as a smile arced across his face.

"Well, I wouldn't jump the gun there. I agree fuly that the LAF-250 was hardly a desired fighter in any respects. It's poor performance was hardly out weighed by it's cheap cost. Though the newer H/LAF-500 is a different story! Fast, agile and with a bit of fire power to back it up. It's not real match for the heavy duty military fighters of the Empire or even some Rebel fighters. Though I'd take one over a T-65 or TIE Fighter any day."
