Rantar's eyes slowly opened as he emerged from thought as Afton spoke.
Rantar let the silence last a little longer, and savoured what was certain to end.
With the distant sounds of people awakening in the base, Rantar finally turned to Afton.
"Sure, lets get something to eat."

**********************************************************

It took a few minutes to reach the Resistances equivalent of a Mess Hall. Deep in the makeshift base, the mess hall was what use to be a basement. The site was originally set up by the a detachemnt of the original colonist to Vathonir, though over the years its location and existance had become a myth to most.
Now it was worn down after so many years of decay. The ferocrete was breaking apart, and entire sections of the ceilings had collapsed all over the base making it hard to navigate.
The only food the resistance could serve in quantity was a grey slop, that was reminisent of the decaying ferocrete.
Sitting down at one of the many tables with Afton, Rantar began to wonder how the resistance was able to recruit anyone with this type of horrid food.
As Afton pondered her own breakfast, Rantar slid across the table a datapad.
"That contains the files of the people you were asking for. And, don't worry about the food - no-one knows you on planet yet, so you can go to a "real" food joint.
"Consider it recon, for food."
With thaqt, Rantar pushed his bowl of goo away as he no longer felt hungry.

OOC - Guess I missed reading that post, Kry - I did get the PM tho... Good to see U back, Jess! Whatchu doing with yourself these days? Heard u dropped by Phytho's the other day...

IC - T'char was digusted. Utterly revolted. They expected a hunter of his expertise to conduct a scouting mission? Sure, scouting was a essential part of the hunting proccess, all good hunters needed to be adept at it to survive in the trade. But scouting simply for its own merit? He failed to see the fun in that.

He turned up the bridge's air conditioning - his anger was causing his cold-blooded body to overheat. Slowly his blood pressure dropped back towards its normal levels as his anger subsided.

Looking once more at the mission plan laying on the main bridge console, he reconsidered. Yes, it was a dirty job that usually would be left to the lower echelons, but this wasn't exactly a routine mission. It did have some of the thrills and perks usually associated with good hunt.

Besides, he was getting paid.

Finally convinced, T'char turned the NightHawk toward the little rim planet the organisation desired so much and lit the hyperdrive.

Afton sat there playing with her food. Not that appatizing but it was food all the same. She was about to ask Rantar a question when he handed over the database, said a few word than abruptly pushed his bowl to one side. Afton could sense a deep feeling of regret and remorse of what was to come, so in her knowledge she said nothing.

Finally she spoke.
"Rantar, I know your probably not in the mood or in the frame of mind to do this but I was hoping you could help me with the men. Seeing as they don't know me and all." She prepared herself for the worse and waited for a reply.

***********

Josson woke late that morning, had a shower and made his way to the mess hall. He saw Afton sitting with Rantar so he disided to leave them, and Rantar did not look the friendliest that morning. He went an sat next to some strong looking men with large muscles and hard faces. They looked like the type Afton would be looking for he thought.

He sat down and introduced himself.
"Hi and am Luetenant Josson one of the so called 'boundty hunters' that where supposedly after you boss. How are you?" He was chuckling at his wit and humer when a gruff voice answered.

"Well isn't that nice, your the little scum that we all nearly died over." And with that he burst into a bombing laugh. It nearly shook the place down.

Rantar took several, long deep breathes to try and bring himself out of his depressed mood. Slowly, though surely, Rantar began to become less depressed.
Looking straight at Afton, and smiling for the first time in what seemed like a few days.
"Sure thing, lets get onto it."

After reviewing the stats for a long time Tyhton came to the only posible conclusion. They were loosing fighter pilots too quickly to be able to support there offencive action for much longer than two years. The number of fighters lost was sustainable but the pilots were not. After this revelation Tython secretly got into his new uniform and snuck out of the hospital and down to the hanger bay to talk to the chief engineer.

After many long hours with the Chief Engineer they had managed to come up with an idea for making the pilots ejection pods selfsustainable for a five hour period and to be able to withstand the explosion of the fuel tank and engines.

With these new modifications being put in place Tython headed up to the Commanders office to find out where they were going to attack next so he could plan the fighter formation that he would have to use.

OOC - Happy 200th, Vathinor Crisis! Good work folks! :D

IC - "Mr T'Char, congratulations on a job well done. The information you retrieved has been very, um, informative."

T'Char stared out the transparisteel window at the glistening orb of the neutron star they were orbiting, too furious to even be bothered replying. The job had been simple, almost child's play. Hell, the barmaid at the local canteena probably could have done as well as he had. It didn't say a lot for the Organisation's opinion of his skill.

"Um, ok. Well, the information you provided indicates that there may be a significant dissident faction residing on one of the worlds that our group controls. A group that the Masters feel must be, er, dealt with to ensure loyalty on the planet. I believe you have some expreience in this line of work?"

"Correct." It had been some time since he'd last executed a cleanup operation, but T'Char could still remember the thrill of individually hunting down a group's members, how such an operation always grew more challenging as it progressed, as the weaker members were flushed out...

"We would greatly appreciate it if you could perform such a service for us on this planet. We are willing to pay, er, standard rates plus an additional twenty percent bonus for full completion. Are you interested?"

T'Char gave the nervous human one withering stare, took the mission briefing from the man's outstretched hand, and turned and headed to his ship without saying a word.

As Tython walked into the commanders office he noticed one of the ships captians talking privatly in the office. not wanting to interupt them Tython turned to the commanders aide-de-camp and asked him for the location of there next attack site and all the information they had on hte target.

Several minutes later Tython was again walking through the corridors of the ship towards his room as he read the short briefing that he had recieved for their upcomming target.

The planet was named Chiron VI and was a large desert planet that was covered by small clans of natives and a few large cities that controlled all the government and trade for the local areas. These cities where mostly controlled by alians from other planets who had brought out the local businesses several centuries earlier. It seemed that most of the businesses were known supporters of the Sith who had been behind most of the business purchases and they were using them as manafacturing places for large numbers of sith fighters and attack droids.

Tython arrived at his room and instantly went to his computer terminal and started planning the comming battle with whatever the planet could throw at them.

OOC: Sorry for the tardeness with posting in the RPs but busy, busy, busy as a bee - my life story at the moment.
Though, there's no time like the present to post it up

IC:
Rantar tired eyes were forced open as he led Afton into the small assembly hall.
He'd gotten together a group of some of his best men and women. All of them would soon be taken under the wing of Afton to learn how to fight, how to think and how to win.
"Good to see you all here bright and earlier - a little too early for my likings, though todays a special exception.
"I'm here to introduce you to your new commanding officer, Afton. She will be teaching you everything you need to know, and a little more, for us to win here.
"She'd a strong warrior, and I know you'll treat her with the upmost respect and commitment - because you all know what's at stake here, not just our lives but our enitre planet as well.
"Without further ranting, Afton they're all yours."

OOC: I was going to say: This is afton, destroyer of worlds and conqueror of empires. Fear her, and tremble at her name or face the wrath that is sure to come yourway . . . that I think that was over the top

OOC: There is no such thing as to big an itroduction I always say

IC:

Afton followed Rantar into the hall and was impressed to see such a tuff group of people. Good, she thought, that means I can work them harder and I dont have to start from scratch. She chuckled at her own joke but then thought she'd better put on the strong 'no nonsence face'.

She looked each person in the eyes looking for the things that would make a great team. No an unstoppable force. Courage, strength, stamina, intellegence and most importantly LEADERSHIP.

Once Rantar had finished the introduction she took on the role that was only now starting to hit her.

"Hello people, I am, as Rantar said Afton and I will be supervising and continueing your training. From this day forth you will report to me unless told other wise by Rantar, me or Lueitenant Josson who I will introduce you to at a later date. Both Lueitenant Josson and I will be assessing you and putting you into groups and finally giving you the all clear to be part of a top secret and highly sophisticated force."

She looked again at the men and women infront of her, some stood stright and did not flinch others however would need some work. She nodded to Rantar and move to the door to let Josson in.

Rantar smiled to himself slightly, as he watched Afton take command quickly and easily.
As she moved to the door to let Josson in, Rantar took it as his queue to leave things in Afton's obviously capable hands.
He headed towards the command post, where his head of intellegence would be waiting for him to give a quick briefing on what's happening around their world. It was a boring routine, though a necassary one.

OOC: Just to keep things rolling. Nothing really happens

As Afton opened the door Josson walked in holding the files Afton had given to him earlier. He held his head high and walked with great importance into the room.
"Luietenant Josson relporting for duty maam," he said in a slightly mocking voice but the swift glear from Afton put him into place.
Afton turned to the group, "this is Luietenant Josson everybody he will be putting you into training groups of which you will be staying in for the most part of the training. The groups are not negotiable so if you have a problem with someone in your group 'get over it'. This force relys heavily on teamwork and leadership so learn to get along or don't join. Josson take it away."

She turned to Rantar before he left and smiled, "this looks great. Can have a small talk with you after this session I need to put some plans to you to see iuf you think they will work? I don't think we will to any training today just get to know each other and that kind of thing so how does lunch sound? We should be finished by then."

OOC: Been quiet a while since I've last posted, sorry about that - but now my exams are over so back I am to stay and play for another day . . hey hey
Sorry, couldn't resist the assonance

IC:
Rantar mindlessly looked over the intellegence report, if one could call it an intellegence report. The datapad he'd been handed had information from units in the field and several spies that where keeping an eye on the organisation - though none of them had anything worth reading.
The best information one of his informants could ever give him would be if an army had been amassed and was marching towards them.
Hopefully with Afton's help - this would change, and soon. Planning a rebellion without eyes and ears was becoming an impossible task.
Standing, Rantar nodded to a tall and muscular gaurd standing by a thick blast door. In responce, the gaurd opened the door and let Rantar in. The door protected the command room for the rebellion. Inside were all the plans and information that the group had put together since their creation. It was here the first strike was being planned, and would soon come to fruiation with Afton's new squad.

***

After several hours of planning, Rantar finally looked at the time. Oh sithspit - I was meant to meet up with Afton and hour ago
Jumping from his seat, Rantar quickly exited the command room and ran for the mess hall hoping to run into an undoubtably annoyed Afton.

The first day was quite like Afton had planned. They would be put into the groups that Afton and Josson had discussed and then Afton gave them all a folder full of sheets of paper that told them what training was whan and a few other things that were rather important. As the time when buy Afton remembered she had a meeting with Rantar. She dismissed the group about ten minutes later than planned and then both her and Josson headed for the hall to wait for Rantar.

They sat there discussing things talking about the groupings and what excactly theyed do in training the next day, they were so busy that they didn't even notice that Rantar was late, they didn't even know he had walked in until he sat next to them.

Afton looked up from her folder and lists that had spread out over the table, "Ah you made it," she said with no annoyance at all in her voice.
"Ok this was what we were thinking. Everyone has been put into groups, each group has one or two people with the same skills and they are in a group of about five to ten people. The idea was to train these groups to function like a family or so to speak. Everyone has a different skill and so they can only perform their skill. Do you understand?" She had tryed to explain it as best she could but some how it did not seem adaquit.

Rantar listened to what Afton said, and slowly nodded.
"That's along the lines I was thinking. If we're to function at our peak effectiveness, we're going to need to know what everyone else is thinking and how they're going to react - just like a family.
"The only problem is, we need to let the Organisation know we exist. We've hit them a little, but it's nothing special yet - and all that work will be wasted if we don't strike soon."
Rantar leaned forward over the table. "That'll mean you need to work on one team and get them ready ASAP - and by that, I mean a week or two.
"It wont be easy, or that good for them - but we need a strike team ready soon."
The serious look faded from his face, and Rantar leaned back in his chair and a big smile crept across his face.
"So, that's business - now some pleasure. I've got the rest of the day off and nothing to do"
