Fighting is terrible, but not as terrible as losing the will to fight.

I grew up with Special Edition stuff  The only original stuff I saw was the Christmas Specials and Thanksgiving Specials of "Return of the Jedi"... Before I even saw ESB... :? Still, interesting stuff to note, there. My band teacher wound up showing us the original ESB and ROTJ last year, so I have seen them, just not as much as the special edition crap. Neat stuff, there.

I never got why people bash Lucas for the changes he makes to the OT. I for one like them. They enhance what really should be seen. My only gripe is Jabba in ANH looking nothing like he does in ROTJ (Why not just make him the same size?) And the lightsaber colours are kinda all over the place.

I will probably buy a set of the full screen edition and a widescreen set and keep them in their plastic packaging. Then I'll have to get a second widescreen edition so that I can actually watch it. So there's $150.

Chaos, Panic, Disorder, Destruction.....

My work here is done.

I have a THX set of the OT (VHS widescreen), but I'm not sure if it was the special edition or not. I'll have to find it and see ... maybe I'll still have Han shooting first! :D
Finally, after years of hard work I am the Supreme Sith Warlord! Muwhahahaha!! What?? What do you mean "there's only two of us"?

I'm just sticking with my 1996 Special Edition collection... Just you wait- it'll be valuable some day! Some day...

I've been thinking of recording my VHS tapes onto my computer for awhile now. Never get arround to it though.

Stuff they could put back:

-not a big fan of CG dewbacks

-what's wrong with the Shistavanen Wolfman? (Lucas is racist!) lol

-removing the ‘Praxis’ effect shockwave (There are lots of alternatives)

-slash the expanded incredibly obviously CG'd Mos Eisley

-slash the Jabba scene

-put Old Ben’s Call

Bring back Sebastian Shaw as Anakin!

Remove the Praxis shockwave!

Han shoots first!

Get those Gungans out of the old trilogy!

etc.

Actually, I wouldn't mind any of the changes, and the improvements in visual quality is much appreciated, I'd just love it if they would sell the original Original Trilogy as well or include it in the DVDs somehow - let the fans choose!

Some things I wish they would change...

1. The scene where Obi-Wan's lightsaber doesn't have a blade and looks like a stick. I thought they should have corrected it in the Special addition release back in the late 90's, and they most definitely should have fixed it on the DVD release. They attempted to fix it with the DVD release, but it still doesn't look right. If it can't be fixed, the should cut out that one tiny bit of the film. It just doesn't look good.

2. Darth Vader's robes and shoulder armor. In Episode III, V, VI, Vader's shoulder armor is not covered by his robes. However, in IV it is. What did he do, not dress himself correctly that day? LOL. It is not that big of a deal, but I think it would flow better if they changed that. I'm guessing with all the stuff they can do today with special effects and editing they could change it.

3. Luke's green lightsaber in Episode IV on the DVD release. ???? How did this happen??? I can't believe they missed that when they released it.
