OK, I'm going to start re-posting these narrative sections again. I believe the last post was up to day 1000. So I will get this back up to speed in the next couple of days.

Rebel Uprising II!

I'm starting another game (standard game, hard, large galaxy) as the Rebel Alliance. What I'm basically trying to test out in this game, is to get a more aggressive AI while maintaining some balance with the original game play. I've read over others ideas about "charging" up the game and have incorporated some of those ideas and some of my own. I'm not aiming to get "huge" fleet battles as the sole purpose of the game (though that would be nice should it happen), but really just a challenging conflict. To make it more challenging I'm using the following changes:

1) RebEd changes.

Galaxy:

The galaxy is a bit more crowded and resourceful. Six outer rim sectors are changed to HIGH importance with half "colonized". Six more outer rim sectors have changed to MEDIUM importance with only 2 sectors "colonized". See the attached map for the current layout (it might be hard to see, but the colonized sectors have "brighter" systems than the others).

http://img61.imageshack.us/img61/2055/rebeluprisingiigalaxymapsr9.jpg

Facilities:

All facilities have remained unchanged with the exception of mines/refineries. Mines/refineries now have half the construction cost, and have production rate increases to 4 from 5.

Defenses:

All defenses have remained unchanged with the exception of the LNR I battery. The LNR I battery weapon power has been increased from 800 to 1500.

Troops:

The build cost and maintenance is lower on practically all units. I'm using the following build-cost/maintenance values.

Alliance Army 4/2, was 6/3

Alliance Fleet 6/4, was 8/6

Alliance Mon Cal 5/4, was 6/4

Alliance Sullustan - no change

Alliance Wookie 8/6, was 10/8

Imperial Army 4/2, was 6/3

Imperial Fleet 5/4, was 7/5

Imperial Dark Trooper 9/6, was 12/8

Imperial Stormtrooper 7/5, was 9/6

Imperial War Droid 7/6, was 9/8

The Imperial Fleet, Dark Trooper and Stormtrooper units all have increased bombardment defense values. The Dark Trooper and Stormtrooper units have increased attack ratings, and the Dark Troopers have increased detection ratings.

Fighters:

Alliance A-wing has build cost and shields dropped.

Alliance B-wing has laser & ion cannon ranges dropped to match other fighters, and laser rating dropped.

Alliance X-wing - no change.

Alliance Y-wing has lower maintenance and sublight ratings, but increased shields and ion cannon ratings.

Imperial Tie Fighters have lower build and maintenance, and increased agility.

Imperial Tie Bombers have lower maintenance, but no ion cannons.

Imperial Tie Interceptors - no change.

Imperial Tie Defenders have lower torpedo range and laser ratings, but have ion cannons equivalent to a B-wing. Bombardment is increased as well as sublight and agility ratings (faster than the A-wing but not quite as maneuverable).

Capital Ships:

For the Alliance the Corellian gunship is replaced by the Golan III defense platform (available to both sides). The Neb-B frigate has increased fighter capability to 3. The Corellian corvette and Neb-B frigate are available to the Empire for manufacture. The Carrack light cruiser and Victory Star Destroyer are both available to the Rebel Alliance. Dreadnaughts for the Alliance and Empire have a bit more firepower and an increase to the weapon recharge.

For the Imperials, there are many more changes. The galleon, star galleon and armored transport have their troop capacities increased to 3, 6 and 2, respectively. The Strike Cruiser has increased fighter capability to 2. The VSD has a 3/3 troop/fighter capability, and the VSD II 3/4. Both the ISD and ISD II have increased troop/fighter capability to 4/8. The SSD has a 12/16 troop/fighter capability, increased firepower (450 TL and 200 IC) and an increase to the weapon recharge (was 70 now 100). The DS has a 24/36 troop/fighter capability.

Special Forces:

No changes.

Major Characters:

The only change is the Emperor can train Jedi (I'm not sure if he'll actually do this, but he now has the option).

Minor Characters:

All military Imperial characters have a base diplomacy of 50. My reasoning for this is all Imperial officers have gone through tough training and are NOT stupid enough to rely on garrisons only. They know a little PR in the right places will go a long way in maintaining order. Just because they might be corrupt characters at the peak of their careers, doesn't mean they will forget training and just act stupid/egotistical. There has also been some recruitment changes for both sides:

Alliance:

Crix Madine has been replaced by John Wayne.

Afyon has been replaced by Mr. Spock.

Drayson has been replaced by Gandalf.

Tura Raftican has been replaced by Snake Plissken (Kurt Russell-Escape from NY).

Bren Derlin has been replaced by Jack O'Neill (Stargate SG-1).

Huoba Neva has been replaced by Peter Quincy Taggert (Tim Allen-Galaxy Quest).

Page has been replaced by James T. Kirk.

Orrimaarko has been replaced by Ben "Obi-wan" Kenobi.

Ma'w'shiye has been replaced by Pink 5.

Imperial:

Bin Essada has been replaced by DarthTex.

Niles Ferrier has been replaced by Darth Maul.

Needa has been replaced by Grand Moff Conway.

Bane Nothos has been replaced by Prince Xizor.

Screed has been replaced by Grand Moff Tarkin.

Zuggs has been replaced by Zaarin.

Shenir Rix has been replaced by Ysanne Isard.

Noval Garaint has been replaced by Boba Fett.

Garindan has been replaced by Tom 'Iceman" Kazanski (Val Kilmer-Top Gun).

Menndo has been replaced by Jango Fett.

Labansat has been replaced by IG-88.

Villar has been replaced by Wile E. Coyote.

Game Setup:

Coruscant starts with 9 Stormtroopers, 3 Fleet regiments, 12 Tie Fighters, 3 Tie Interceptors (prototypes), 3 advanced construction yards (prototypes), 3 advanced shipyards (prototypes), 1 KDY, 1 LNR II battery (prototype), 2 Gen Core II shields (prototypes).

Yavin starts with 3 Fleet and 3 Army regiments, 3 X-wing and 3 Y-wings.

Rebel HQ starts with 2 Fleet and 4 Army regiments, 6 X-wing and 3 Y-wings, 3 construction yards, 3 shipyards, 1 KDY, 1 LNR I battery, 2 Gen Core I shields.

So when the game started, this is what I had to start with:

Sesswenna sector: 4 Imperial, 1 Alliance and 5 Neutral systems.

- Yaga Minor

Corellian sector: 6 Imperial, 0 Alliance and 4 Neutral systems.

Fakir sector: 2 Imperial, 1 Alliance and 7 Neutral systems.

- Berchest

Sluis sector: 2 Imperial, 1 Alliance and 7 Neutral systems.

- Sullust

Farfin sector: 4 Imperial, 1 Alliance and 5 Neutral systems.

- Khomm

Dolomar sector: 4 Imperial, 3 Alliance and 3 Neutral systems.

- Pantolomin

- Tangrene

- Balfron

Atrivis sector: 7 Imperial, 0 Alliance and 3 Neutral systems.

Mayagil sector: 6 Imperial, 2 Alliance and 2 Neutral systems.

- Anchoron

- Clak'dor VII

Glythe sector: 0 Imperial, 3 Alliance and 7 uncharted systems.

- Altaarn

- Fornax

- Fef

Jospro sector: 0 Imperial, 1 Alliance and 9 uncharted systems.

- Cardooine

Sumitra sector: 0 Imperial, 1 Alliance and 9 uncharted systems.

- Yavin

Abrion sector: 3 Imperial, 3 Alliance and 4 Neutral systems.

- Ishyim

- Hefi

- Garban

Dufilvan sector: 0 Imperial, 3 Alliance and 7 uncharted systems.

- Zebitrope IV

- Klatooine

- Ord Mantell

Queli sector: 0 Imperial, 0 Alliance and 10 Neutral systems.

Kanchen sector: 0 Imperial, 0 Alliance and 10 Neutral systems.

Ships: 2 Escort carrier, 3 corvettes, 2 bulk cruiser & 2 medium transports.

Construction yards: 9 (3 on Cardooine).

Training Facilities: 2

Shipyards: 7 (3 on Cardooine).

The Alliance headquarters is currently located on the Cardooine system in the Jospro sector.

The first order of business will be for the construction yards (CY) to create more CY’s where possible. My training facilities (TF) will produce Bothan spies then infiltrators. The shipyards (SY) will start off producing some X wings & Y-wings (for defense), and a VSD.

Han has volunteered for "taxi cab" duty and transported everyone (but Wedge, he goes directly to HQ for ship R&D) from Yavin to Sullust (Sluis sector). Leia & Jan Dodonna will do diplomacy, and Luke, Han & Chewie doing spy missions. Mon Mothma is doing recruitment. I've also started out with Adar Tallon, Lando Calrissian, Roget Jiriss, and Pink 5. They are scattered about and will be put to work immediately.

I'm going to try my best not to "sabotage" the Imperial war machine too early. I'll focus on building my infrastructure and get a more solid foundation for military strikes. But I want to also do harassment and hit-and-run raids. I'll just have to play those aspects as things develop.

There is one thing that is "odd" I have discovered; I have three systems (Zebitrope IV, Klatooine and Ord Mantell) in the "un-colonized/uncharted" outer rim Dufilvan sector. Having systems in "colonized" outer rim sectors I understand, but other than Yavin I have never had an "occupied" system in an uncharted sector (there are no facilities or defenses, or even a popular support bar). I guess this must be some side effect due to the RebEd galaxy changes.

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 100, current status.

Not too much exciting to report just yet, but there have been some significant events. Mostly I have all facilities busy cranking out war material: more CY's, more TF's, more SY's. I've produced quite a few guerrillas, infiltrators and spies, and some troops. I finally have a VSD (a real combat ship to add to my puny fleet), but have mostly been turning out X-wings & Y-wings.

My first strikes against the Empire have been in the Sluis, Dolomar, Mayagil and Abrion sectors (two core, two outer rim), where each has a system with Imperial military control but Alliance popular support.

Mayagil sector:

The Imperial system H'nemthe is under military control. I've dispatched Admiral Roget Jiriss with a bulk cruiser and Corellian corvette to blockade/bombard the system. On the fleet's arrival, bombardment commences. Two of three Imperial Army regiments are destroyed, stirring an uprising of the local populace. The following bombardment eliminates the final Imperial presence on the system, bringing the system over to the Alliance. The Triton, Chalcedon and Dantooine systems then abandon the Imperial cause, going neutral. Support for the Alliance increases on the two remaining Imperial systems of Cona and Oetrago. The Oetrago system becomes another militarily controlled system, and Admiral Jiriss now has a new target.

Dolomar sector:

The Imperial system Phorliss is under military control. Several Alliance guerrillas working with the local populace has thrown the system into uprising. Support for the Alliance slowing increases. Alliance infiltrators have been at work sabotaging the Imperial garrison. Without a strong military presence by the Alliance, the indirect path is the only way to go. It takes several attempts (and many days) before the entire Imperial garrison (two Army regiments) are eliminated. Phorliss comes over to the cause of the Alliance. The neutral system of Wor Tandell has also joined the cause of the Alliance.

Sluis sector:

The Imperial system Bothawui is under military control. In this sector I have Han, Luke, Leia, Chewbacca and Jan Dodonna to help out. Leia and Jan Dodonna are sent out to do diplomacy missions on Praesitlyn and Sluis Van, respectively. Han, Chewy and Luke first so a spy mission on Bothawui to get a clear picture of what I'm up against. The Imperial garrison consists of one Imperial Army regiment and two Stormtrooper units. I then send them back to sabotage the garrison. It takes several attempts before the system goes into uprising from the destruction of one of the garrison troops (using Chewy as the decoy worked). A few more missions take out the remaining garrison troops and Bothawui joins with the Alliance. The neutral systems of Orto, Kothlis and Umgul also join the Alliance. Princess Leia has made great progress on Praesitlyn bringing them to the Alliance. The neutral system of Denab now joins the Alliance. Eventually Jan Dodonna also succeeds at Sluis Van. The only Imperial presence is now on Bpfaash, with Mon Calamari remaining neutral.

Abrion sector:

The Imperial system Galpos II is under military control. Several Alliance guerrillas working with the local populace has thrown the system into uprising. Support for the Alliance slowing increases. An Alliance escort carrier is located at Garban (I guess that's my "local" HQ for the Alliance in this sector). Garban has a SY and is producing fighters. Pink 5 is on her way to be stationed on the carrier. Her arrival brings the promotion of "Commander" and the addition of a couple of fighters (Y-wings). The escort carrier takes up position over Galpos II blockading the system. Pink 5 in the lone X-wing escorts the Y-wings on a bombardment run on the Imperial garrison. Her mystifying luck holds up, destroying the Imperial garrison without any casualties. Galpos II now joins the Alliance. The spectacular feats of Pink 5 against the Empire spread like wildfire through the sector. The neutral systems of Da Soocha, Cathar, Intuci and Abregado all join the Alliance. The former Imperial system of Ukio has abandoned the Imperial cause and gone neutral (apparently they want no part of Pink 5 coming to their system). Support for the Alliance increases on the lone Imperial system of Tieos. Pink 5 and her escort carrier depart for Tieos. Another bombardment from Pink 5 destroys one of the Imperial garrison troops, throwing the system into uprising. After a short "timeout to freshen up", another bombardment on Ties eliminates the last Imperial troop, bringing Tieos into the Alliance. Bothan spies have reported to Pink 5 on the arrival of two Imperial Star Destroyers (arriving on separate days) in the near future. There is plenty of time for her to contemplate her next move ...

I have two exploratory fleets going out into the outer rim, consisting of a bulk cruiser-medium transport and a Corellian corvette, respectively. I have completed the exploration of the Atrivis, Glythe, Sumitra, Jospro and Orus sectors. Again I have noticed some "weird" things. In the uncharted Orus sector I have found three Imperial systems (without facilities, defenses, troops, popular support bar or anything), and one of them is in uprising! In the uncharted Glythe sector there are four similar Imperial systems with one in uprising, and another with zero energy slots (the energy-resource bars are solid). I'm not sure on what to make of this but say, "Fascinating!"

Mon Mothma has now recruited the following:

Garm Bel Iblis

Jack O'Neill

Narra

Raw materials are around 340, refined materials are around 110 with maintenance points around 3500. I'm building like crazy (for what few facilities I have), and I haven't yet drained my surplus materials to zero. Increasing mine/refinery production seems to be working.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Cardooine system in the Jospro sector.

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 200, current status.

Since the last report, I've been mostly upgrading/supplementing defenses for Alliance systems and improving on the war machine infrastructure. There have been several more gains for the Alliance, as well as some setbacks due to the Empire and Alliance ineptness.

Calaron sector:

The Imperial system Ithor is under military control. I've dispatched Admiral Roget Jiriss with a bulk cruiser and Corellian corvette to blockade/bombard the system. On the fleet's arrival, bombardment commences. Two of five Imperial Army regiments are destroyed, stirring an uprising of the local populace. The next bombardment eliminates one more unit. The following bombardment eliminates the final Imperial presence on the system, bringing the system over to the Alliance. The neutral systems of Akrit'tar, Kessel and Norval II join the Alliance. The Fwillsving and Kubindi systems then abandon the Imperial cause, going neutral. The Jerijador, Skor II, F'tral and Morvogodine systems have increases support for the Alliance but remain Imperial. All attempts at recon, uprising or espionage have failed at the Jerijador and Morvogodine systems, with only a few units returning (if any). I'm going to try the other two systems now, before trying something else on the previous two systems. I suspect those systems have important facilities/personnel there foiling my missions.

Dolomar sector:

I've foiled a troop training mission on Kamparas by Zarrin, twice since the last posting. But apparently Zarrin is very persistent and keeps on trying. An Imperial fleet consisting of 2 VSD's, 1 ISD and a carrack have blockaded Wor Tandell. The next day the system is assaulted and under Imperial control. A few days later the same fleet then shows up at Phorliss. I have 5 SY's at Phorliss cranking out Y-wings. As the Imperial fleet enters orbit, 2 X-wings and 6 Y-wings (that is all the Y-wings completed so far) move to intercept. I send all of the fighters on a suicide run to damage the ISD. It is a futile attempt, and after the destruction of 4 of the Y-wings, I call for a withdrawl. Phorliss is assaulted and now under Imperial control. My remaining Y-wings under construction are destroyed and now 5 SY's are in Imperial hands! Sympathy for the Alliance grows on the Imperial systems of Kamparas, Ketaris and Caprionril. All attempts to exploit the growing Alliance sympathies on these Imperial systems have been foiled. I now have several infiltrators enroute to help remove the Imperial garrisons and restore Alliance authority. It will be some time before they arrive.

Farfin sector:

Jack O'Neill has arrived at Khomm, the only Alliance presence in this sector. Jack is made "General" to hold the fort until Alliance forces can be mustered to secure the system for offensive operations against the Empire. The system now has 4 CY's and I'm using them to bolster defenses for the system. Two Gen Cores have been completed and an LNR battery is under construction. Apparently the Empire understands this threat and is taking steps to prevent an Alliance base. Although no Imperial missions are discovered, Alliance support is beginning to slip. I suspect Imperial uprising missions are underway, but I have no other resources to help General O'Neill at this time. Several of the neutral systems have now joined the Empire (Firro and Tanaab). Khomm has gone into uprising! I'm scrabbling trying to find a sufficient number of troops to send there. I've also dispatched approximately a dozen guerrillas to help subdue the uprising. It will be sometime before they arrive. It is too late, the system has switched side to the Empire! Jack has escaped and is now enroute to Fornax in the Glythe sector. Rishi and Bilbringi have also joined the Empire, leaving Kinyen the only neutral system in this sector. Mon Mothma has recruited Snake Plissken. I put him on a Corellian corvette and sent him to Khomm to find out what Imperial forces have displaced Alliance control and who is responsible for this Imperial operation. Shortly thereafter, Mon Mothma has recruited Ben Kenobi and I send him to Kinyen to do diplomacy. Maybe I can re-establish an Alliance presence in this sector.

Sluis sector:

The Empire has been forced out of the Sluis sector! Incite uprising missions have succeeded on Bpfassh causing them to go neutral. And Princess Leia using her charming ways, has convinced Mon Calamari to join the Alliance. The latest info on Bpfassh shows a carrack in orbit and as ISD enroute. As soon as units or facilities become available, a recon mission to Bpfassh is in order.

Dufilvan sector:

An Imperial system has been discovered at Ord Pardon. All attempts at recon have been foiled. A more resourceful attempt will have to be initiated sometime in the near future when resources allow, but for now I'll just have to be watchful.

Orus sector:

There are three Imperial systems in this formerly uncharted sector of the galaxy. The Joiol system is in uprising. My Corellian corvette having fulfilled its exploration mission has been diverted to this system. The Joiol system is garrisoned by 4 Imperial Fleet regiments. Several bombardment salvos later, and the uprising is over; Joiol has joined the Alliance!

Quelli sector:

My bulk cruiser has finished exploring this sector, finding an Imperial controlled system at Vinsoth! The system is garrisoned with 3 Stormtrooper regiments. The garrison is bombarded, with one regiment destroyed with the first salvo. The second salvo proves disastrous as the inept gunners on the bulk cruiser fail to take into effect the rotational velocity of the planet. Basically blowing a civilian SY into smithereens causing political repercussions throughout the sector. The neutral systems of Kirrek, Rafa, Varn, Thrakia and Dathomir have all now joined the Empire. I'm beginning to think there maybe an Imperial agent planted among the bulk cruiser gunners. All further bombardments of the Imperial garrison at Vinsoth have been ineffective. I think it's about time to vacate this sector.

Mon Mothma has now recruited the following:

Mr. Spock

Syub Snunb

Snake Plissken

Ben Kenobi

Raw materials are around 380, refined materials are around 280 with maintenance points around 4000. I'm in the process of re-tooling all of my CY's to ACY's. When that is complete, I'm going to try to put a big dent in all of the surplus materials being stockpiled.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Cardooine system in the Jospro sector.

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 300, current status.

Glythe sector:

Jack O'Neill has arrived at Fornax after the disastrous coup at Khomm. Fornax is basically a "rock" in space, so despite Jack's low diplomatic demeanor, I send him to Vortex on a diplomacy mission. I'm not expecting miracles, but it keeps him busy and out of my hair. Based on his "reports", I appear to be dead on in regards to his diplomatic abilities.

Farfin sector:

My Corellian corvette with Snake Plissken has arrived at Khomm. Khomm is under blockade and Snake is sent into the bowels of Imperial chaos. Ben Kenobi has arrived at Kinyen and is slowly progressing with his diplomatic mission there. After many days of waiting at Khomm, an Imperial carrack comes to break the blockade. My corvette is no match for the carrack and I hate the thought of abandoning Snake, but I have to save the ship and its crew. Snake will have to make alternate travel plans to escape Khomm. After my escape, I start reading through the messages. Snake has made it back on the ship! Although the mission was deemed "foiled", he barely made it back to the ship before it blasted out of orbit. Snake was slightly injured in the ordeal. [movie announcer voice on/] "Snake Plissken ... escaped from New York, and later from LA. Now, coming later this summer ... Snake Plissken has another adventure ... Escape from Khomm! As Imperial forces hound his every move, Snake throws them off the trail and pursues him mission for the Alliance. Will he succeed, or is this all an Imperial setup to capture the Alliance's most resourceful agent. Coming to a Holo-theater near you this summer [/movie announcer voice off]. The corvette with Snake is enroute to Fornax. After a couple of weeks of R&R Snake has healed, and with some reinforcements (8 infiltrators) the corvette sets off for the Dolomar sector. Ben Kenobi has convinced Kinyen to join the Alliance! He will continue his efforts to bring about 100% support.

Dolomar sector:

After the recent Imperial victories in this sector, I don't have much to work with on stopping anymore Imperial incursions. I've secretly sent for my meager fleet guarding HQ out in the outer rim (1 VSD, 2 escort carriers, 2 Neb-B frigates, 9 X-wings, 12 Y-wings). After a brief detour to Tierfon (a shipyard facility and troop coordination point), it picks up 3 Fleet troops and heads to the neutral system of Sarka. In the meantime, I've foiled a troop training mission on Kamparas by Zarrin, three more times. Zarrin is very persistent, but popular support is making things difficult for him. My fleet arrives at Sarka unknown to Imperial forces. I then head to Wor Tandell, which is completely undefended with exception to the controlling garrison. A single bombardment salvo destroys the entire Imperial garrison (4 Fleet regiments & 1 Stormtrooper unit). Wor Tandell is once again part of the Alliance. I then send my fleet to the former Alliance shipyard system of Phorliss. The shipyards are constructing a dreadnaught and the system is defended by a couple of Tie fighters. The Tie fighters don't stand a chance, and the Imperial garrison (6 Fleet regiments) is eliminated with a single bombardment. The shipyards are back in production of Y-wings for the Alliance. Upon the return to Alliance control, several Imperial personnel have been captured! Apparently the "core" Imperial ship design team was working at Phorliss and are now guests of the Alliance: Klev, Thrawn and Bevel Lemelisk! My fleet now heads to Kamparas. Yet another Imperial system that is undefended with exception to the garrison. Another single bombardment eliminates the garrison and captures more Imperial personnel: Zarrin & Grammel. The Imperial system of Caprionril has gone into uprising due to the advancing juggernaut of the Alliance fleet (although I consider the fleet small, and it only has 3 troops). The Alliance fleet now heads towards Ketaris. The Imperial fleet lies in wait (1 ISD, 2 VSD's & 2 carracks) at Ketaris unknown to me. Upon entering orbit, I'm not sure how the Imperial fleet will respond. They definitely have the advantage in shear ship firepower, but I hold the upper hand with fighters as they aren't fully stocked. The Imperial fleet is retreating! I send all fighters after the ISD, where they land several salvos before the Imperial fleet jumps to hyperspace. I'm sure the ISD had a little damage probably to the shield generators, but nothing serious. I'm caught totally off guard by the Imperial garrison. There are 27 troops here (5 Army, 7 Fleet & 15 Stormtroopers). The evacuating fleet didn't take any troops with them. It only takes two bombardments to eliminate the Imperial garrison (16 on the first salvo). The neutral systems of Sarka and Omwat have now joined the Alliance! There are two ISD's enroute here, but due to arrive on different days. I sit to wait for them. Each ship retreats with several shots taken by my fighters. I now send my fleet to Caprionril. The corvette with Snake Plissken and the infiltrators has arrived at Omwat. There original destination/mission was to be Caprionril, but with my fleet enroute there, I leave them sit for the time being. My fleet arrives at Caprionril to find a single ISD in orbit (more than likely the one that just fled Ketaris), and he retreats. The original Imperial fleet that fled Ketaris (1 ISD, 2 VSD's & 2 carracks) has now blockaded Pantolomin. A quick bombardment of Caprionril destroys the Imperial garrison, bringing the entire sector under Alliance control. I immediately dispatch my fleet to break the Imperial blockade at Pantolomin. After a couple of days the Imperial fleet leaves without a bombardment (the KDY must have discouraged them), and without troops there was no assault. I send the corvette with Snake to pickup spec forces throughout the sector (guerrillas, spies, infiltrators) to ferry over to the Calaron sector.

Sluis sector:

Other than Jan Dodonna working on diplomacy at Bpfassh, the Sluis sector is quiet. I'm constructing a SY system at Umgul and send spec forces/troops from my TF's to the Berchest system in the Fakir sector. Han takes Chewie and Leia to Berchest. Luke has finalized diplomacy at Orto and is now heading to Ukio in the Abrion sector.

Calaron sector:

I'm continuing spy missions on the four Imperial systems of Jerijador, Skor II, F'tral and Morvogodine. Skor II and F'tral are rocks in space (nothing here but mines and refineries). Jerijador and Morvogodine are still unknowns as missions there either fail to return or are foiled. With a bit of luck, a spy mission to F'tral has also supplied info on Morvogodine. Some interesting things going on there: Wile E. Coyote is doing facility research with me (DarthTex) as the system "General"! I check on (my) DarthTex's stats ... OUCH! They are much higher than I put into that character card! Apparently DarthTex has been kickin' some rebel butt earlier in the game (maybe he infiltrated Khomm and ran Jack O'Niell off? Or hunted down Snake? We'll never know). Reinforcements will be coming from the Dolomar sector in the near future to wrest control from the Empire.

Dufilvan sector:

The Imperial system at Ord Pardon has foiled all of my previous attempts at getting info. Now with 6 Bothan spies and 3 Y-wing long probes, I'll attempt again to pry info about that Imperial world. Both missions succeed and reveal the Imperial secrets buried within: Ysanne Isard is currently in system with Brandei and Jango Fett enroute. There are 3 Army troops and 3 Nogrhi present. An Imperial commando and 3 more Nogrhi are enroute, and three Imperial ships are on the way (1 VSD, 1 dreadnaught, 1 escort carrier). Other than that, this sector is quiet.

Fakir sector:

My base of operations for this sector is at Berchest. Han & Chewie are doing spy missions on the Imperial systems along with a dozen Bothan spies. Leia is trying her best at diplomacy on Carida (which is proving to be a tough nut to crack). I have a large contingent of infiltrators to use once I get some info on targets. There are a plethora of (ten) troops enroute as well as more spec forces (6 spies, 12 guerrillas). The most noticeable piece of information received to date is that Daala, Dorja and Darth Vader are enroute to Halowan! I haven't seen, nor heard about Darth the entire game! Now I can only hope he stays at Halowan so my infiltrators can do their job.

Sesswenna sector:

There has been a major blow to the Empire here recently. Yaga Minor (my only system) has slowly been building up it forces. Guerrillas have finally succeeded in starting an uprising on Averam, and guerrillas are currently emplaced on Svivren as well. Infiltrators have been deployed to sabotage Imperial garrisons on these systems as well as Bortras. The infiltrators on Averam have succeeded in there mission and Averam joins the Alliance. The neutral systems of Uvena and Corsin now join the Alliance. Uprisings begin on the Imperial systems of Svivren and Bortras. The infiltrators are partially successful on Svivren and reduce the number of troops. More sabotage missions are dispatched as units return to Yaga Minor. After a couple of weeks, the latest sabotage missions on Svivren succeed and that system joins the Alliance. The Imperial system of Bortras, as well as the neutral systems of Chandrila and Ghorman, all now join the Alliance! The entire Sesswenna sector, with exception to Coruscant, now belongs to the Alliance.

Mon Mothma has now recruited the following:

Ackbar

Carlisst Rieekan

Gandalf

James Kirk

John Wayne

Mazer Rackus

Raw materials are around 200, refined materials are 0 with maintenance points around 5400. The ASY has now become available, and as time permits the SY's are being upgraded. For ship research I've just made it to level 4, the Golan III defense platform. Also, Mon Cal troops have just become available and are being procured.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Cardooine system in the Jospro sector.

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 400, current status.

Glythe sector:

Jack O'Neill is still on Vortex on a diplomacy mission. His "reports" on a lack of progress reflect on his diplomatic abilities (not very good). There has been no progress with the locals (even a tiny bit) with regards of joining the Alliance. Some interesting information has been received regarding the Imperial Navy at the outer rim system of Sedri. Apparently the bulk of the Imperial fleet is in orbit with other ships still enroute (5 VSD's, 3 ISD's, 3 dreadnaughts, 12 carracks, 1 escort carrier & 1 galleon). The fleet has a compliment of 33 Tie Fighters out of a max 51; there are no troops are command personnel. Whatever they are up to, it's not good for me. I'll definitely need to keep my eye on the fleet buildup and disposition.

Farfin sector:

Kinyen is the Alliance base of operations for this sector. There are over two dozen Bothan spies based here constantly getting info on the Imperial sectors. I have a dozen infiltrators onsite, another dozen enroute, and 6 more being trained. Ben Kenobi is also doing spy missions. I have 23 troops stationed here (1 Army, 12 Sullustan & 10 Mon Cals), with 2 Gen Core I's, and 12 A-wings. A Golan III is enroute for system defense. Interesting facts learned about the Empire so far: Charmath now has 3 SY's with 1 under construction. Ysanne Isard is "General" at Phraetiss, where Prince Xizor is doing facility research. Covell is doing troop training at Byss. Support for the Alliance is starting to grow on some systems from the tyrannical oppression of the Empire. There is some small support (~20%) on Khomm, Bilbringi and Tanaab, and nice support on Rishi (~45%). This sector is the only "main" Imperial controlled core sector.

Dolomar sector:

My fleet was enroute to break an Imperial blockade at Pantolomin. By the time they arrive the Imperial fleet has already left orbit for parts unknown (maybe Sedri with the other Imperial ships?). I send the fleet to Tangrene (at the center of the sector) to wait for further orders. Otherwise, all facilities are busy producing or upgrading war material for the Alliance. After a very long time, I get a brief message than Omwat is under blockade. By the time I check, the Imperial fleet is gone and I'm left wondering what ship(s) were involved. Shortly thereafter, the Imperial fleet is at Tangrene! The Imperial fleet consists of: 2 ISD's, 5 VSD's, 2 dreadnaughts and 6 carracks (with 21 Tie Fighters). To face the Imperial fleet I have: 1 VSD, 2 Neb-B frigates, 2 escort carriers, 9 X-wings, 12 Y-wings, plus land based fighters: 3 X-wings and 10 Y-wings. I'm not sure what to expect, other than to get my arse handed to me. I let the Empire make the first move. They're retreating! Quite the surprise I do say. I send all fighters to target one of the ISD's. By the time they make their first attack run, the Imperial ships make their jump to hyperspace. The next day, another Imperial fleet blockades Ketaris (1 dreadnaught and 5 carracks). They immediately start general bombardment. The system was only able to fend off one of the four attacks. Destroyed are 2 ACY's, 2 mines and 3 refineries. I dispatch my fleet from Tangrene, but it will be a couple of days before they arrive. The Imperial fleet is long gone when my fleet arrives. The general bombardment did not do anything to endear the public for Imperial support. I'm going to have to call in fleet reinforcements and deal with the Imperial fleet. More fleet reports will follow below.

Sluis sector:

The Sluis sector is also busy producing or upgrading war material for the Alliance. I have a small support fleet at Umgul: 2 escort carriers, 1 MonCal cruiser, with another MonCal cruiser under construction. There are 6 A-wings and 6 Y-wings available. These ships are to join the 14th fleet under the command of Pink 5. Her fleet is due to arrive in 20 days and consists of 2 escort carriers, 2 Neb-B frigates and 2 VSD's, with 6 A-wings, 8 X-wings and 10 Y-wings.

Fakir sector:

My base of operations for this sector is at Berchest. Han & Chewie are doing spy missions on the Imperial systems along with a dozen Bothan spies. My attempt to capture Darth Vader at Halowan has failed, as Darth has pushed on to another unknown destination. Leia has brought Carida over to the Alliance, and Jan Dodonna has brought Palanhi over to the Alliance. My guerrillas have successfully initiated an uprising on Bimmisaari. Han & Chewie, along with a couple of infiltrator squads are targeting the Imperial garrison. Within a short time, the missions are successful, bringing Bimmisaari into the Alliance. The neutral systems of Obroa-skai, Mrisst and Ralltiir also now join the Alliance. Leia and Jan Dodonna are working on bringing all Alliance systems to 100% loyalty. Spy missions continue against the remaining Imperial systems. With the exception of Jango Fett and some Imperial commandos enroute to Ando, all Imperial military personnel and units have left this sector.

Calaron sector:

I'm continuing spy missions on the four Imperial systems of Jerijador, Skor II, F'tral and Morvogodine. Skor II and F'tral are rocks in space (nothing here but mines and refineries) so far, but now Imperial garrison troops and Tie Fighters are being constructed and are enroute. Jerijador and Morvogodine are still difficult to get information on. A spy mission to Jerijador has finally succeeded, revealing 3 ATF's under construction and 1 enroute. Boba Fett is there with Jerjerrod and several Nogrhi enroute. I'm about to send Snake Plissken and his infiltrators to capture Boba Fett, when new intelligence arrives. Emperor Palpatine has been located on Dathomir in the Quelli sector. Snake and his crew take their corvette and head for the Quelli sector; Boba will have to wait. DarthTex continues to foil all missions to Morvogodine, but still information about the system comes to the Alliance (through other systems). Wile E. Coyote is now joined by Orlok and Grand Moff Tarkin doing facility R&D.

Dufilvan sector:

The Imperial system at Ord Pardon has received 3 Imperial Army troops for garrison duty. Brandei is still enroute, but all other Imperial personnel have been redeployed (including the Nogrhi). One squad on Imperial commandos are now enroute. The Imperial ships have departed for parts unknown. Other than that, this sector is quiet.

Sesswenna sector:

There are no changes in the sector. All facilities are busy producing or upgrading war material for the Alliance. Darth Maul is enroute to Coruscant, as well as Daala! Griff is the "General". Some Imperial ships are enroute, probably recalled from the other core sectors.

Quelli sector:

After the fiasco with my bulk cruiser awhile back, I have recalled it to blockade some of the Imperial systems. Apparently support for the Alliance is growing. It seems some of the latest systems to join the Empire may have been a bit hasty. My bulk cruiser blockades the Kirrek system which has a lone Imperial Army unit for garrison duty. A bombardment of the system eliminates the troop without any civilian collateral damage (the Imperial sabotage of the gunnery system has been repaired). Kirrek joins the Alliance! The Imperial systems of Varn and Thrakia have gone back to being neutral. The neutral systems of Amorris, Pil Diller, Corstris and Selaggis have now joined the Alliance. Support for the Alliance has grown on the remaining Imperial systems causing Dathomir into uprising! Intelligence on this sector shows Pellaeon enroute to Rafa for diplomacy, Dorja enroute to Varn for diplomacy, Iceman Kazanski enroute to Dathomir to subdue the uprising, and Emperor Palpatine already on Dathomir trying to subdue the uprising. There are approximately a dozen troops enroute to reinforce the 3 Imperial Army units there. I have dispatched Snake Plissken and several infiltrators on a corvette to this sector. It will be several weeks before they arrive and then try to capture Palpatine. To keep the Emperor here as long as possible (subduing the uprising), I sent my bulk cruiser to blockade Dathomir, denying him more garrison troops. Only 2 Fleet regiments and an Imperial Army unit have arrived before the blockade. It will only be a matter of time before an Imperial ship comes to break my blockade. I will start to cycle through the sector blockading Imperial systems to keep the Imperial Navy guessing as to my bulk cruiser's exact whereabouts.

Corellian sector:

There are no Alliance systems in this sector. The Empire controls 6 systems with the remaining four neutral (though starting to lean a bit towards the Alliance). Intelligence for this sector has been spotty, but some information has come in. There is at least 2 ISD's enroute/patrolling this sector. And an interesting tid bit, Grand Moff Conway is enroute to Corfai for ship R&D (and is due to arrive shortly). The entire Imperial ship R&D now rests with Grand Moff Conway, as I have already captured the "core" researchers (Klev, Thrawn, Lemelisk) at Phorliss in the Dolomar sector (see last report). Although his R&D capabilities are not shown in-game, his other stats are quite impressive. I'm sure Grand Moff Conway will probably succeed better than all of the others combined! Time will tell.

Orus sector:

Mon Mothma has completed recruiting, with Peter Quincy Taggert being the last to help the Alliance. Mon Mothma is now doing diplomacy on outer rim neutral systems. I've assembled a small strike fleet under the command of Admiral James T. Kirk, with General Bel Iblis and Commander Taggert. The fleet consists of: 1 VSD, 2 escort carriers and 4 Neb-B frigates with 3 X-wings, 12 A-wings and 12 Y-wings. The fleet in enroute to Tierfon in the Sumitra sector to pickup some troops. The fleet is scheduled to link up with Pink 5's fleet at Kinyen. From there I hope to link up with the 7th fleet at Ketaris. With this "super" fleet I hope to track down the Imperial Navy and destroy them. Of course, without an interdictor, this will be very difficult. I can only hope my ship R&D comes through in time. Otherwise, I'll head for Coruscant and try to capture it! I have a secret invasion force of 4 bulk transport loaded with troops enroute to Generis in the Atrivis sector. They are on standby for invasion orders!

Raw materials are around 200, refined materials are 0 with maintenance points around 4600. Most SY's have been upgraded to ASY's, with about 75% complete. The B-wing is now being procured, and I expect an update on the next ship class to become available hopefully in the next month or two.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Cardooine system in the Jospro sector.

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 500, current status.

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!

Quelli sector:

The uprising on Dathomir has been subdued! Emperor Palpatine is making quick work of restoring order and support to the Empire. Snake Plissken has arrived in system, and Admiral Roget Jiriss has tagged along with her fleet. The arriving fleet of 1 bulk cruiser & 2 corvettes joins the lone bulk cruiser blockading Dathomir. Snake is dispatched with 11 infiltrators and 4 decoys to abduct the Emperor. After several days of waiting, Snake report backs in ... success! The Emperor has been captured! When you want a tough job done right, get the right person for the job; and that person is Snake Plissken. Snake and the infiltrators escort the captured Emperor Palpating out of the sector taking the two corvettes heading to the Atrivis sector (to an Alliance occupied abandoned pirate base). With morale running high for the Alliance, the two bulk cruisers under Admiral Jiriss head to Vinsoth to bombard the Imperial garrison there. Disaster strikes! The bulk cruiser that arrived with Admiral Jiriss, must have been internally sabotaged by the same Imperial agent who messed by the gunnery systems of the other bulk cruiser. The bombardment takes out the Imperial Army garrison, but also destroys a civilian mining facility. The (temporary) Alliance systems of Amorris, Kirrek, and Selaggis have gone back to being neutral, and the neutral systems of Varn and Thrakia have rejoined the Empire! The Alliance systems of Pil Diller and Corstris have support slip some, but due to the arrival of additional garrison troops, those systems are still loyal to the Alliance. Pellaeon and Dorja eventually bring Rafa and Varn to support the Empire 100%. Admiral Jiriss is regulated to blockading different Imperial systems in this sector, but under NO circumstances are bombardments permitted!

Dolomar sector:

After the last raid by the Imperial Navy in this sector, I have my shipyards at Phorliss start to produce a large batch of B-wings (18 of them) upon the completion of a Golan III defense platform for Phorliss. A lone Imperial dreadnaught has blockaded Caprionril. Caprionril was a former Imperial system, without any defenses. Defensive facilities are still tied up in procurement and weren't scheduled for construction for at least another couple of months. The Imperial dreadnaught takes full advantage of Alliance bureaucracy and bombards the system. The dreadnaught focuses its attacks on the civilian production facilities. The 7th fleet (my sector fleet: 1 VSD, 2 Neb-B frigates, 2 escort carriers, 9 X-wings, 12 Y-wings) heads out from Tangrene (centrally located in the sector) to break the Imperial blockade at Caprionril, which will take several days. In those few days, the Imperial bombardment destroys 3 training facilities (2 of which were advanced), 5 mines and 1 refinery. My fleet arrives and the dreadnaught flees (my fighters score some hits before he jumps). A large Imperial fleet then arrives at Phorliss (5 VSD's, 2 ISD's 2 dreadnaughts, 6 carracks with 21 Tie Fighters). In defense I have the Golan III and 18 Y-wings. It now appears the attack on Caprionril was a diversion, pulling my fleet away from the real target. To make the best of this, I attack 2 of the carracks with 9 Y-wings each, and have the Golan III target one of the ISD's. The Y-wings manage to destroy 1 carrack, heavily damage another and attack a 3rd carrack before the Tie Fighters totally annihilate them. The Golan III has stripped the shields from the ISD and started damaging the hull, before the combined firepower of the Imperial fleet finally silences the Golan III. Now, it's a sitting duck being target practice for the Imperial gunners. It doesn't take long before it's debris starts falling from orbit. The Imperial fleet then bombards the system, again targeting civilian facilities. The first salvo takes out 9 shipyards (6 of which were advanced), and the following salvo takes out the remaining 3 (2 of which were advanced). Phorliss is now a floating rock in space (it still has its energy slots). My fleet at Caprionril is dispatched to Phorliss. The Imperial fleet is long gone by the time my fleet arrives, with the exception of 1 heavily damaged carrack. Other than its current shields, every system is offline. I dispatch all my fighters to attack the carrack. As soon as the first fighters arrive, the carrack's hyperdrive comes online. But the ship is so heavily damaged, I think the shields are the only thing keeping it together (the hull is about ~97% gone). Within a couple of shots, the carrack is destroyed. All construction yards in this sector are now producing Gen Core II's for all systems without shielding. After which, I will rebuild the shipyards at Phorliss.

Dufilvan sector:

All info on the Imperial system of Ord Pardon has dried up. Something is going on, but I don't know what. I've sent for Han & Chewie, so they can pull some recon and such for me (besides, they have the fastest arrival time). By the time they arrive, my 6 Bothan spies have finally succeeded in getting some info. Brandei is gone (he was probably the reason all my missions were failing), and 4 Nogrhi are enroute, as well as a VSD. I send Han & Chewie on a sabotage mission against one of the Imperial Army garrison troops. The mission is foiled and Han is injured. I let him rest up. It takes awhile, but he's finally healed; so back to that sabotage mission. In the mean time while Han healed, one of the Nogrhi has arrived and a probe droid is enroute. I send Han & Chewie after the Nogrhi.

Calaron sector:

Fwillsving has joined the Empire! I don't know who pulled that mission off, but I've sent my guerrillas there to slow down or hopefully reverse Imperial progress. Kubindi and Morvogodine each now have 4 SY's, and Jerijador has 4 ATF's and 1 TF. Apparently facility R&D is winding down for the Imperials as only Grand Moff Tarkin is left doing R&D. Wile E. Coyote has been spotted enroute to the Glythe sector and Orlok has disappeared. DarthTex is still General of Morvogodine. Imperial support on Skor II and F'tral is growing, and my uprising missions are starting to get foiled. I keep sending them back. An ISD has shown up over Norval II blockading the system. The ISD must be playing with me because it only bombards the garrison once every day. After several days it has destroyed 7 Sullustan units and 2 Army units. I've moved 3 Sullustan and 2 Army units to Kessel through the Imperial blockade. My 7th fleet has left the Dolomar sector and secretly arrived over the Jerijador system. I bombard the local garrison of 3 Imperial Army units and destroy them. In the process I've also taken out the single Imperial TF (not the advanced, but the old facility). The 7th fleet is now enroute to Norval II, and then will sweep through the sector eliminating any Imperial forces it encounters. The damaged ISD that attacked the SY's at Phorliss is now at Morvogodine making repairs. I have a couple of interdictors under construction and hope one will be ready for the 7th fleet soon. This ISD is last on the target list as I await my interdictor.

Glythe sector:

Jack O'Neill has been shipped off to the Dolomar sector to be the "general" on Ketaris for the "great rebuilding" project. Mon Mothma is now doing diplomacy at Vortex and has 98% support for the Alliance. The latest intell shows a single Imperial galleon at Sedri. The Imperial system of Elrood is a "rock" in space (no facilities) and has 2 espionage droids and 1 Imperial commando. Enroute to Elrood are 2 espionage droids, 1 Imperial commando and Wile E. Coyote.

Farfin sector:

The 14th fleet (4 escort carriers, 2 Neb-B frigates, 1 MonCal cruiser and 2 VSD's, with 12 A-wings, 8 X-wings and 16 Y-wings) with Pink 5 has arrived at Kinyen. Also, the 16th fleet (1 VSD, 2 escort carriers and 4 Neb-B frigates with 3 X-wings, 12 A-wings and 12 Y-wings) under Admiral James T. Kirk has arrived at Kinyen. My fleets are waiting patiently for the arrival of a CC 7700 interdictor coming in from the outer rim. While waiting, intelligence has received info that the large Imperial fleet that raided Phorliss in the Dolomar sector is enroute to Charmath! My interdictor will arrived with a couple of days to spare, to catch the Imperial fleet. As soon as the interdictor arrives, the 14th and 16th set out to Charmath. Charmath is defended by a damaged dreadnaught (the one that raided Caprionril) and a single Tie Fighter. With my combined fleet, the Imperial craft don't last very long. Two days before the large Imperial fleet is due to arrive, a small Imperial task force of 2 carracks drops in. I have no idea where these ships have come from; intelligence apparently is totally NOT "in the know". But like the previous dreadnaught, the 2 carracks don't last very long. The big day arrives, but the Imperial fleet is late. Two days later I'm still waiting. Apparently, I've fallen for some bad intelligence. I bombard the garrison out of frustration; they're wiped out. Great! (that was sarcastic) Pink 5 accidentally has taken out an Imperial SY, so Alliance support in the sector shrinks a tiny bit. "Sorry" doesn't help. I redistribute the fleets to be a little more balanced: the 14th fleet now consists of 3 Neb-B frigates, 3 escort carriers, 2 VSD's and the interdictor with 24 A-wings, 12 Y-wings under the command of Admiral James T. Kirk and Commander Taggert. The 16th fleet (now) under Admiral Bel Iblis with Commander Pink 5 consists of 3 Neb-B frigates, 3 escort carriers, 1 VSD and 1 Mon Cal cruiser with 6 A-wings, 11 X-wings and 16 Y-wings. The 16th fleet heads to Phraetiss to blockade the system and bombard the Imperial garrison. The garrison is eliminated, but a CY is also destroyed in the process. Pink 5 reported that [Pink 5 voice on] "The square-ish army buildings and CY thingies all look alike: blocky and drab. How am I supposed to know NOT to shoot at that particular one. Sheesh! They should like make those buildings in 'fuscha' so they stand out. I had this really hot fuscha outfit once; we went to the this totally fab club and ... what's wrong? Are you sick? Your face is all ... squished up and all." [/Pink 5 voice off] Ugh!! I transfer Pink 5 to the Golan III at Kinyen, hopefully she'll stay out of trouble there. Admiral Bel Iblis departs with the 16th fleet to Berchest in the Fakir sector.

Fakir sector:

Not too much is happening in this sector. The Empire has started to reinforce some of its systems (Delaya and Ando). Imperial Army units and Tie Fighters are being deployed/procured. Should all of the units arrive, each system will have 6 army units and 6 Tie Fighters. Leia and Jan Dodonna continue to do diplomacy and bringing all Alliance systems to 100% loyalty. The only thing of significance is the impending arrival of Darth Vader to Halowan (provided the information is accurate). He is still about ~60 days out. I might just have enough time to send a corvette to Kinyen and collect Ben Kenobi, and then to the Abrion sector to get (Jedi) Luke. Luke & Ben out to get Darth, Ooowww! Stay tuned for that one.

Sluis sector:

Nothing much happening here. Umgul (my shipyard planet) is stockpiling fighters for future combat replacements. There are 12 B-wings stockpiled, 5 enroute and 7 under construction, along with 20 X-wings stockpiled and 4 under construction.

Sesswenna sector:

The entire sector (with the exception of Coruscant) has joined the Alliance. New updated info on Coruscant shows General Griff in charge, Brandei and Iceman Kazanski enroute. All of the fighter cover has been stripped from the system and there are a couple of replacement Tie Fighters enroute. All the ASY's and ACY's have been scrapped. Several ships of the Imperial Navy are enroute (some carracks and VSD's, plus a lancer). All previous characters have departed ... to parts unknown ...

Corellian sector:

I've had no new updates on this sector. When time permits I will try some diplomacy on one of the neutral systems, to get my "foot" in this sector.

Orus sector:

With the disappearance of the large Imperial fleet from the Dolomar sector, and then their (supposed) arrival at Kinyen. I've decided to move Alliance HQ to a new location, Chrondre (next system over). I've fortified Chrondre with 4 Gen Core II's, 2 LNR II's, 2 Golan III's (1 is still under construction), 15 Y-wings, 12 A-wings, and 10 Army units with General Andrimetrum and Commander Narra. I have 3 interdictors under construction at Kiffex, and need to add some A & B-wings to defend HQ.

Atrivis sector:

My 4 bulk transports have arrived at Generis. I've sent one of the transports to garrison six of the uncharted systems for the Alliance. The ships are waiting patiently for their orders.

Kanchen sector:

The Imperial systems of Munto Cudro and Smarteel have been receiving facilities from several Imperial CY's in the core. I've yet to do a recon on these systems, but will definitely put them on the priority list for a future op.

Raw materials are around 300, refined materials are 0 with maintenance points around 2850. The interdictor class ship became available shortly after my last post, and now the assault frigate is available.

The Alliance headquarters is now located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector.

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 600, current status.

Dufilvan sector:

Han & Chewie have successfully destroyed a Nogrhi commando squad on Ord Pardon. Now that the team is back in the swing of things (after Han's injury), I send them to take out that pesking Imperial Army regiment that wounded Han. After a few days Han reports back that the mission was foiled, and Chewie has been killed! NOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooo!! (I think Def16 has jinxed me!). Han has been made "general" of Ord Mantell for the time being while he mourns over the loss of his best friend (I don't have time for the self pitying doldrums like in the NJO series, but I'll give him some "time off"). I've stockpiled quite a few Y-wing long probes on Zebitrope to recon the Kanchen sector (specifically the Imperial systems of Munto Codro and Smarteel). Imperial ships continue to come and go to Ord Pardon (as soon as they arrive they push on to somewhere else). Every successful spy mission shows ships enroute, then with the next mission those ships are gone and new ships are enroute. ATF's are starting to arrive on Klatooine (2 out of 4), and I'm procuring infiltrators. Support for the Empire on Ord Pardon is ~50%, so I'm going to target the garrison and any other spec forces that hang around long enough. The Imperial system of Ord Trasi is nothing but a rock in space with mines/refineries.

Kanchen sector:

Jan Dodonna has been sent to start diplomacy on Culoon III. His first report back has foiled an Imperial diplomacy mission! Keep up the good work!

Calaron sector:

Imperial support on F'tral is growing, and my uprising missions are starting to get foiled. I keep sending them back. My 7th fleet (1 VSD, 2 Neb-B frigates, 2 escort carriers, 9 X-wings, 12 Y-wings) arrives at Norval II driving the blockading (and bombarding) ISD away. I take the fleet to Morvogodine to do some harassing of my own. The ISD is there with 2 galleons; they flee. After hanging around for several days, I decide to head back to Norval II. Upon my arrival, the Imperial ISD & 2 galleons show up! They were going to invade my system! I just got lucky and caught them in the act. I let them make the first move; the ISD is moving in! After several seconds of letting him move in and launch Tie Fighters, I send all of my fighters aft him. There is a brief pause, then the ISD makes to retreat. My fleet is not moving fast enough to catch him. The galleons have fled. My fighters get quite a few hits on the ISD before he jumps (shields were down to half, so there probably is some shield generator damage now). I send my fleet back to Morvogodine as that is the nearest Imperial system. My fleet arrives shortly after theirs (not much time for repairs). I send all fighters after the ISD again. The Imperial ships turn to flee. I get several more shots into the ISD before he jumps again. This time I have taken out the shield generators and hit hull! Next likely jump point is Skor II. Skor II has several Tie fighters defending the Imperial ships. I send all fighters after the ISD (again). The Imperials are staying to fight! The ISD shields are going down fast, and soon they're gone. The hull is starting to take a beating. Soon the ships systems start failing and then she blows! So much for the troops on aboard. My capital ships are still sitting watching the show. I send half the fighters after one of the galleons, a squadron of 5 Y-wings after the other galleon, and 5 X-wings against the Tie Fighters. So far I've only lost 1 Y-wing, with a couple of damaged Y & X-wings. The galleons turn to flee. I get several shots in before they jump, and then I finish off the Tie Fighters. I chase the 2 galleons now to F'tral. I get some more damage on them before they jump. Now I'm not certain to where they've jumped. I head back to Skor II, but they're not there. I fear that I've lost them. I quickly jump to Jerijador, and catch up to them once again. Jerijador has several Tie fighters defending the Imperial ships. Using the previous tactics, I ignore the fighters and go for the galleons. This time both ships and their precious cargo of troops are destroyed. I again eliminate the Tie Fighters. I'm now short a couple of Y & X-wings. Some recent intel shows several Imperial ships enroute to Kubindi. These appear to be the same ships (in several different fleets) that annihilated Phorliss in the Dolomar sector. I race up to Kubindi to catch the smaller Imperial fleets as they arrive. Apparently, I've wasted too much time chasing down the Imperial galleons, because the entire Imperial fleet is here waiting for me: 2 dreadnaughts, 3 VSD's, 1 ISD, 4 carracks and 1 lancer with 25 Tie Fighters. I let the Ties come screaming in letting my fighters and ships try to pick off a few of them. The carracks are moving in fast, and it's totally hopeless. I call for the withdraw. After action reports show only 4 Ties destroyed and 8 damaged. I on the other hand, have a large handful of damaged Y & X-wings, and lost 4 Y & 1 X-wing. My fighter forces are now severely depleted and I'm totally outgunned against the Imperial fleet. I've dispatch 8 Y & 8 X-wings from Averam in the Sesswenna sector to restock my fleet. After much waiting, I load up the new fighters and send some of the damaged ones back to Averam. I send my fleet back to Norval II as a small Imperial probing fleet is heading there. When I arrive they are gone, but I have now been joined by a CC-7700 interdictor. An intel report on Morvogodine show that Prince Xizor is now located there doing ship research, and DarthTex is still "General". Other intel reports show that an ISD and Star Galleon (both loaded with troops) are heading to Kessel. Intercept course has been laid in ... jump!

Fakir sector:

Important intel has reached the Alliance high command, Darth Vader is enroute to Halowan! He doesn't arrive for another 60+ days, so I have time to formulate my capture plans. OK, I've already formulated my capture plans; that took a game day. OK, I've dispatched a corvette to go to Kinyen and pick up Ben Kenobi (who's currently on a mission, but will be available when the corvette arrives, hopefully). Luke has aborted his diplomacy mission in the Abrion sector and is enroute to Sullust (in the Sluis sector). The corvette has picked up Ben and is enroute to Sullust; it will arrive 3 days after Luke. Luke has joined the journey to Berchest, and will arrive about two weeks before Darth Vader. Admiral Bel Iblis with the 16th fleet (3 Neb-B frigates, 3 escort carriers, 1 VSD, 1 Mon Cal cruiser and 1 interdictor with 6 A-wings, 11 X-wings and 16 Y-wings) has left Berchest to blockade Halowan in the meantime. The corvette with Luke & Ben arrive at Berchest and pick up 16 infiltrators before heading over to Halowan. Spy missions are continuing against Halowan for any last minute updates. The big day arrives and Darth Vader has ... slipped through the blockade. He has battled Luke, and Luke has learned of his heritage and escaped capture by Darth Vader. I send Luke, Ben and the infiltrators to capture Darth Vader, but their mission has been foiled and Luke has been captured! I then send Ben to capture Darth Vader and the infiltrators to rescue Luke. Ben has been detected by his former apprentice and his mission is foiled, but the infiltrators succeed in freeing Luke! I send only the infiltrators to capture Darth Vader, and they succeed! Darth is loaded onto the corvette with Luke and Ben and sent to Alliance HQ (to meet up with a captured Emperor Palpatine). After Darth's capture, an Alliance fleet has dropped out of hyperspace at Berchest. I'm not sure where this fleet came from. It's Snake Plissken! Oh well, better late than never. I send the fleet with Snake and his 14 infiltrators to Ando to reek a little havoc. Upon their arrival they're attacked by 10 Tie Fighters. The corvettes eventually take them out, but one of the corvettes has some shield generator damage. Snake and the infiltrators take out 3 Imperial Army garrison troops and a Nogrhi commando unit. With nothing left for them to do, I send in some spies and they can have some R&R. The spies report in that Jango Fett is planetside and 2 Imperial commandos and 2 espionage droids are enroute. I send Snake and some infiltrator decoys to capture Jango; mano-y-mano. Snake rules! He's captured Jango Fett! I send Snake's fleet to Delaya for another strike. Delaya is defended by 8 Tie Fighters. Their swarming tactics have taken out the shield generators on Snake's corvette and I order an immediate retreat. Intel has now come in on Delaya: 5 of the Tie Fighters are damaged, a carrack light cruiser is enroute due to arrive in a weeks time, there are 4 Imperial Army garrison troops and 4 Nogrhi commandos, with 20 more Nogrhi enroute plus 1 espionage droid enroute. I dispatch the 16th fleet to blockade Delaya. They will arrive in less than a week. Snake's fleet has been sent to the shipyards at Mrisst for repairs.

Farfin sector:

The 14th fleet (3 Neb-B frigates, 3 escort carriers, 2 VSD's and 1 interdictor with 24 A-wings, 12 Y-wings) under the command of Admiral James T. Kirk and Commander Taggert still have Charmath blockaded. A special gift has come early to Admiral Kirk, Piett has been captured trying to run the blockade to get planetside! I'm sending the 14th fleet through the sector to weaken Imperial defenses where ever possible. The fleet arrives at Phraetiss. There is not much here other than the garrison troops, so I bombard them. Along with the Gen Core II, I destroy all 4 Imperial Army garrison troops. Support for the Alliance increases somewhat, and Khomm has gone into uprising. Khomm is my next stop, and the 3 Tie Fighters are swiftly dealt with. Khomm has a Gen Core II, 2 Dark Troopers and 3 Imperial Army garrison troops. The first bombardment salvo takes out the Gen Core II and all of the troops except for a single Dark Trooper unit. They don't survive the second salvo. Khomm has now gone neutral. Intel has come in on an Imperial dreadnaught heading to Wistril. I'll try to catch him there, but it will arrive a couple of days before me. With my fleet departure from Khomm, Khomm has now joined the Alliance! Sabotage missions are continuing against Byss and Bilbringi with moderate results. Bilbringi and Tanaab have a sizable support for the Alliance (~40%). I'll be visiting these systems soon.

Sesswenna sector:

Not much has been happening here; the occasional Imperial recon, espionage or sabotage mission ... all failing. I've dispatched 8 Y & 8 X-wings to the 7th fleet in the Calaron sector from Averam. The next day the Imperial fleet arrives at Averam! Averam still has 8 A & 8 B-wings, but is up against 1 dreadnaught, 1 ISD, 1 VSD and 2 carracks with 10 Tie Fighters, 1 Tie Bomber, 1 Tie Interceptor and 7 War Droids, 2 Stormtroopers. I think the Imperials are looking to invade Alliance systems in this sector. I let the Imperials make the first move; they're retreating! A couple of days later the same Imperial fleet shows up at Bortras. Bortras is defended by 6 A-wings, 6 B-wings and 6 Y-wings. Again the Imperial fleet flees. Both of the intended systems had one thing in common: shipyards! The only other Alliance system in this sector with shipyards is Svivren (13 ASY's). Svivren though is WELL defended: 8 X-wings, 8 Y-wings, 24 A-wings, 1 Golan III and 1 assault frigate (with 3 more assault frigates under construction).

Corellian sector:

Princess Leia has finally got an Alliance foothold in this sector; Duros has joined the Alliance! I have requisitioned 12 spies (3 still under construction), 6 Mon Cal troops (2 still under construction), 10 A-wings (8 still under construction) and 3 ATF's (2 still under construction). Duros already has 3 Gen Core I shields. First priority when the spies arrive will be Corfai (where Grand Moff Conway is doing ship R&D), and Tralus (an Imperial fleet depot?). I still need some time to receive my units and buildup a good infrastructure for the Alliance in this sector.

Quelli sector:

Not much is happening here. The Imperials are pushing hard on the 2 Alliance systems of Pil Diller and Corstris (both require a minimum of 2 troops). I'm constantly discovering and foiling most of the recon/espionage/sabotage missions. Support is mostly for the Empire in this sector and on these two systems. Pil Diller has 3 Gen Core I's and 8 troops; Corstris has 15 troops, but no shields! Admiral Jiriss is systematically blockading different Imperial systems. The Imperial system at Rafa though hits back. Rafa has 8 Tie Fighters to put up against Admiral Jiriss's 2 bulk cruisers. The bulk cruisers are too old and slow against fighters, and are being picked apart. I call for the retreat, and now have 2 damaged ships. I think these ships will be permanently moored in space above Corstris until something better comes along.

Dolomar sector:

The entire sector belongs to the Alliance. All systems now have some defensive shielding. The Caprionril system has been designated the Alliance shipyard system for this sector. Construction will now commence to devote 100% of this system to its main purpose. Most of the system was laid bare by the Empire with a couple of exceptions, so the rebuilding will take some time. Phorlis (which was once the shipyard center) will be devoted to mines/refineries (Caprionril has more energy slots overall, and few are currently being used).

Glythe sector:

Mon Mothma has completed all diplomacy in this sector and is now enroute to Svivren in the Sesswenna sector. It appears another large fleet is starting to gather at Sedri again. It might be in my best interest to divert Admiral Kirk and the 14th fleet here ASAP. I'll have to check on this.

Sluis sector:

Nothing much happening here. Umgul (my shipyard planet) is constructing 2 assault frigates. Currently in orbit are 1 Mon Cal cruiser, 1 interdictor and 2 assault frigates, all under the command of Admiral Tallon Karrde.

Jospro sector:

The ASY's at Kiffex are constructing 2 bulk transports to colonize the Xappyh sector. Douglas III has 7 of its 12 ASY's constructing assault frigates for the defense of the Alliance HQ on Chrondre. Luke and Ben Kenobi are enroute to drop off Darth Vader to HQ, and will arrive in less than two weeks.

Atrivis sector:

My 4 bulk transports are waiting patiently for their orders. And I've started constructing 6 ASY's on Generis.

Kanchen sector:

I've sent several Y-wing long probes into this sector from Zebitrope in the Dufilvan sector. The Imperial system of Munto Cudro has somewhat gave up some info; only showing some Imperial ships in orbit before foiling the mission. The Imperial system of Smarteel has a couple of ASY's and ATF's, plus some recon droids and Imperial commandos. Other than that, the remainder of the sector still appears to be neutral.

Raw materials are around 250, refined materials are 0 with maintenance points around 2000. The CC9600 frigate is now available.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector.

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 700, current status.

Calaron sector:

My 7th fleet (1 VSD, 2 Neb-B frigates, 2 escort carriers, 1 interdictor, 12 X-wings, 9 Y-wings) has just left Norval II for Kessel. My fleet arrives before the Imperial invasion force (an ISD and Star Galleon, both loaded with troops). With my new interdictor, the Imperial forces are trapped! I let the capital ships start moving into firing positions before unleashing the fighters. The X-wings are sent after any launching Tie Fighters, and the Y-wings are starting their attack runs on the ISD. The ISD takes a few shots at the Y-wings before concentrating fire on my VSD. The ISD and VSD duke it out. The Tie Fighters have all been eliminated and the X-wings are re-directed to attack the ISD. The pummeling from the fighters as well as the capital ships have collapsed the remaining ISD's shields relatively quickly. The hull is now taking a slow pounding into a hulk. Soon the ISD explodes! Since surrender or capture are not options, all of the troops and crew on the Star Galleon are doomed. The fighters destroy it within a couple of minutes. I've only lost 2 Y-wings for my efforts, but the VSD has severe shield generator damage. The VSD is sent to the new ASY's at Generis in the Atrivis sector for repairs, while an assault frigate is dispatched from the Svivren shipyards. Spy missions are continuing all over the sector. Ships of the large Imperial fleet at Kubindi are slowly being assigned elsewhere. After a month the Imperial fleet is gone, and several more ships are enroute (single-ly). My guerrillas on Skor II have succeeded and the system has now gone neutral. I hit Fwillsving with my fleet taking out the fighter defense (10 Tie Fighter's, I lost a few fighters myself). I send the 7th fleet (now with an assault frigate in place of the VSD) to blockade Kubindi and destroy the Imperial ships as they arrive. Over the course of the next month, I destroy 1 dreadnaught, 2 carracks and 1 lancer. I raid Jerijador taking out the fighter defense (I'm down to about half my fighter compliment; 7 X-wings & 4 Y-wings). New intel shows another large gathering of the Imperial fleet at F'tral. With no more Imperial ships (that I'm aware of) coming in, I send the fleet to F'tral. At F'tral the Imperial fleet (1 dreadnaught, 6 carracks and 14 Tie Fighters and 1 Tie Interceptor) is waiting for me! (my intelligence doesn't seem to be ... accurate on dates). I let the Imperial fleet make the first move; the Tie Fighters come streaming in! I set all fighters and capital ships to target the fighters. After several barrages, fighters from both sides are thinned out. The Imperial dreadnaught is taking shots at my assault frigate. I redirect my assault frigate and 2 Neb-B frigates to attack the dreadnaught. Slowly his shields start to drop from the onslaught. All of my fighters are destroyed and only 4 Tie Fighters are left. The 6 carracks all turn and fire on the assault frigate. The fire is frequent, constant and relentless. I check on the assault frigate's status; no damage and shields are at ~98%. The Imperial dreadnaught is now dead in the water, and the remaining Tie Fighters are destroyed. I direct all ships to attack the carracks. The carracks aren't doing much damage to the shields themselves, but the shield generators are starting to weaken. As the battle progresses, the carracks are being taken out one at a time. By the time 3 of the carracks are out-of-action, the shield generators on the assault frigate are fried. The shields get down to ~20% before the last carrack is knocked out. The rest of the time is now spent destroying the "hulks" of the former Imperial fleet. With the destruction of the Imperial fleet, Skor II has joined the Alliance and Fwillsving has gone into uprising. Before heading out for repairs and fighter replacements, I bombard the local Imperial garrison (3 Army and 1 War Droid units). They are instantly obliterated and F'tral joins the Alliance. Fwillsving has also now joined the Alliance! The 7th fleet heads to Norval II for repairs, replacements and R&R.

Glythe sector:

The 14th fleet under Admiral Kirk and Commander Taggert has been diverted from the Farfin sector to Sedri. As individual Imperial ships arrive, they are systematically destroyed. After about 1 month, the fleet is diverted to blockade Elrood, where Kirk and Taggert (as a decoy) spy on the Imperial System. Along with a host of Imperial and Nogrhi commandos is Wile E. Coyote. Kirk and Taggert are sent to capture "Mr. Super-Genius". They succeed! I next have them target all of the commandos for destruction. It takes a while but they get the job done. It's time to head back to the Farfin sector, Khomm to be exact. And the fleet jumps ...

Kanchen sector:

Jan Dodonna has succeeded on getting Culroon III to join the Alliance. I've sent several Y-wing long probes to be based here from Zebitrope in the Dufilvan sector. The Imperial systems of Munto Cudro and Smarteel show upgraded facilities enroute (ASY's, ACY's & ATF's). Dorja has been located on Munto Cudro with several War Droid units enroute, 14 Tie Fighters, and 6 Tie Interceptors under construction. There is also an ISD enroute due to arrive in the next couple of days. Other than that, the remainder of the sector is still neutral.

Dufilvan sector:

Mazer Rackus has arrived at Ord Mantell with 6 guerrillas. I send them to Ord Pardon immediately. Infiltrators have reduced the garrison down to a single Army unit. Support for the Alliance grows. As Imperial ships arrive, support from smugglers weakens, but grows again when the ships depart. Ord Pardon eventually goes into uprising! After several more weeks, the Imperial garrison must have packed up and left; Ord Pardon has now joined the Alliance. There is still an Imperial dreadnaught enroute, due to arrive in just over 1 week. I've now sent the guerrillas to the Imperial system of Ord Trasi. Han and Mazer Rackus are now enroute to Vagran in the Corellian sector.

Corellian sector:

Princess Leia has brought Vagran over to the Alliance! Some of my spies have arrived and I immediately send them off to Corfai. It takes awhile, but previous intelligence is now confirmed; Grand Moff Conway is there doing Ship R&D! I send my spies throughout the sector, and more spies are now enroute (another dozen). The Imperial fleet depot at Tralus is a myth, but ... info on Drall is very interesting. Drall has 8 ASY's with 1 Golan III and 1 dreadnaught in orbit, and another Golan III under construction. There are 10 Tie Fighters and 5 Tie Interceptors for system defense, along with 4 Army units and 3 more Army units enroute. Talus has 10 ASY's (of which 8 are enroute and 1 under construction)! Talus has 4 Army units (with 2 more enroute and another under construction), and 13 Tie Fighters and 4 Tie Interceptors for system defense. Selonia has 4 CY's and 1 ACY. Corellia has 2 ASY's under construction, with Brandei enroute to do diplomacy (!!). Only Commenor remains neutral in this sector (Princess Leia's next mission). Other than the Farfin sector, this is the only other (main) bastion for Imperial power in the Core.

Farfin sector:

The 14th fleet (3 Neb-B frigates, 3 escort carriers, 2 VSD's and 1 interdictor with 24 A-wings, 12 Y-wings) under the command of Admiral James T. Kirk and Commander Taggert are enroute to Khomm after there brief departure to the Glythe sector. Intelligence missions led by (Jedi) Luke and Ben Kenobi are bearing heaps of information. The Imperial are digging in on several systems: Firro-General Covell is in command with 4 Army units, 9 Tie Interceptors and 1 Tie Fighter, with 2 Gen Core II's and an LNR II battery; Bilbringi-4 Army units, 4 Tie Fighters, and 3 ATF's; Byss-5 Dark Troopers (4 more enroute and 4 more under construction) and 1 War Droid enroute, 5 Tie Fighters, 1 Gen Core I, 1 Gen Core II, an LNR Battery II, and 1 TF, 4 ATF's (with 1 more ATF enroute); Charmath-3 SY's and 6 ASY's, 1 Golan III, 1 lancer enroute, 1 escort carrier under construction, 5 Tie Fighters (with 1 more enroute), 4 Army units (with 2 more enroute), 2 Gen Core II's and an LNR II battery. Other Imperial systems have token forces (especially those I raided earlier, as they have a long way to re-arm). My main base at Kinyen is a frequent target of Imperial spy/recon/sabotage missions, and now assassination missions. All of these missions have been foiled by the dedicated warriors of the Alliance: Generals John Wayne and Carlist Rieekan, Commandors Adar Tallon and Pink 5, with 15 Sullustan and 10 Mon Cal troops (Rieekan, Pink 5 and 6 Sullustan troops are in orbit on the Golan III). There are 15 A-wings, 18 B-wings and 12 X-wings for system defense. Now 2 Dauntless cruisers are under construction for bolstering the 14th fleet's sector patrols.

Fakir sector:

The Imperial systems of Delaya, Ando and Halowan have had their military forces devastated. The 16th fleet (3 Neb-B frigates, 3 escort carriers, 1 VSD, 1 Mon Cal cruiser and 1 interdictor with 6 A-wings, 11 X-wings and 16 Y-wings) has been joined by another interdictor, and is waiting at Delaya for a lone Imperial carrack. The carrack arrives and is then destroyed. Snake Plissken and infiltrators have rejoined the fleet on a different corvette while theirs is repaired. Snake does a spy mission to determine the disposition of the 20 Nogrhi that were enroute. They have all arrived! Over the course of the next couple of weeks, Snake and the infiltrators have been systematically destroying the Nogrhi. When that is accomplished, the fleet heads back to Berchest for some R&R. Intelligence has provided info that Grand Moff Tarkin, plus 10 Nogrhi and 2 commandos are enroute to Ando. I might have enough time to move the fleet in position; prepare all ships for the hyperspace jump ...

Sesswenna sector:

Not much has been happening here; the occasional Imperial recon, espionage or sabotage mission ... all failing. My spy missions to Coruscant are meeting a similar fate, though some info is coming in. There is currently 2 ISD's, plus another ISD and VSD enroute to Coruscant. Most of the system defenses have been depleted supporting other systems in the failing Imperial Empire.

Admiral Jiriss's 2 bulk cruisers are permanently moored in space above Corstris until whenever. They do serve some useful purpose, as the Imperial agent, "Iceman" Kazanski, has been captured enroute to the surface of Corstris for an uprising mission.

Dolomar sector:

Not much happening here. Caprionril has most of the ASY's in place, and is producing B-wings for system defense.

Sluis sector:

Nothing much happening here. Umgul with its 13 ASY's has finished the 4 assault frigates and is now constructing 2 Dauntless cruisers.

Jospro sector:

The ASY's at Kiffex are constructing 4 CC-9600 cruisers (of which 2 are complete). The ASY's at Douglas III are constructing 2 Dauntless cruisers. Darth Vader is resting comfortably with Palpy in their ysalamir decorated "room" (cell).

The Xappyh and Orus sectors are now completely colonized (with exception to 2 systems in the Orus sector which are Imperial).

Atrivis sector:

My 4 bulk transports while waiting for orders, have colonized the remaining systems in this sector. My VSD (from the 7th fleet in the Calaron sector) has been repaired, and is now escorting the bulk transports to the Moddell sector for colonization. My 6 ASY's at Generis are currently producing A-wings.

Raw materials are around 150, refined materials are 0 with maintenance points around 2250.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector.

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 800, current status.

Nothing major is going on; the Imperials are constructing things here and there, but nothing major. I believe they've reached the limits of their maintenance points; I'm going to help them abit in this regard. I've started into my next ship building phase constructing the next generation of capital ships (CC-9600 frigates and Dauntless cruisers), but without a decent Imperial fleet to engage it seems anti-climatic. Other than the capital ship building program, I've turned over garrison and production management to C-3PO. For a droid, he's pretty dumb, producing garrison troops for systems half way around the galaxy when there are ATF's in nearby or the same system. Oh well.

Quelli sector:

Not much is happening here. I bombarded some of the neutral systems with my two bulk cruisers, so now three more systems have joined the Empire. One of my bulk cruisers was destroyed by an LNR battery. Ooops! Both the Alliance systems of Pil Diller and Corstris require a minimum of 4 troops (they have 8 & 15, respectively). The only thing of note from the Imperial side is that the Varn system has 12 Army units enroute.

Kanchen sector:

Jan Dodonna has succeeded on getting Spuma to join the Alliance. I bombarded some of the neutral systems with a corvette, so now six more systems have joined the Empire. Support on Culroon III and Spuma took a hit, but that's just job security for Jan Dodonna. Hopefully the Empire will do something intelligent with its new resources. The Imperial system of Munto Cudro has several War Droid and Dark Troopers enroute. Munto Cudro and Smarteel have a plethora of Tie Fighters/Interceptors, 28 & 14, respectively.

Dufilvan, Glythe & Calaron sectors:

Other than recon/espionage/sabotage/uprising missions from both sides (more of mine succeed than the Empire's), nothing is really happening. The only thing of note, is from the Imperial system of Jerijador in the Calaron sector; 10 Dark Troopers are enroute.

Corellian sector:

Princess Leia has brought Commenor over to the Alliance! Snake Plissken and his 11 infiltrators have failed three times trying to abduct Grand Moff Conway from Corfai doing Ship R&D. Snake commented something about his "only being human" and about GMC Sith skill's being "more than he could handle". I might have to get Ben Kenobi? The Empire now has the ability to construct interdictors! Interdictor number 2 is under construction. An escort carrier is also under construction in this sector. At Corfai, a VSD and a carrack are enroute. Drall is becoming quite the Imperial fortress; it has 2 Golan III's and 3 dreadnaughts, but only 6 Tie Interceptors!?

Fakir sector:

Other than an ISD due into Delaya in the next two weeks, the Imperials have been mighty quiet. Delaya is getting several new Tie Interceptors, Ando has 10 Army units with 16 more enroute, and Halowan has 13 Nogrhi enroute. Looks like I'll need to strengthen up my infiltrators, and dust off the turbolasers of the 16th fleet.

Farfin sector:

Almost all of the Imperial systems in this sector have had their defenses upgraded to 2 Gen Core II's and an LNR II battery. Garrison sizes range from 1 to 6 units, and system fighters range from 0 to 10 Tie Fighters/Interceptors. Charmath is becoming quite the Imperial fortress; it has 2 Golan III's, 1 dreadnaught, 2 interdictors, 1 escort carrier with another under construction. Plus enroute are 1 VSD, 1 lancer, 1 escort carrier and another dreadnaught. There are also 15 Tie Fighters/Interceptors. In order to deliver my knockout blow to the Imperial fleet, I'll call in my reinforcement fleet currently in orbit at Umgul in the Sluis sector (1 MonCal cruiser, 4 assault frigates, 2 Dauntless cruisers and 1 interdictor currently under construction). The 14th fleet (3 Neb-B frigates, 3 escort carriers, 2 VSD's and 1 interdictor with 24 A-wings, 12 Y-wings) under the command of Admiral James T. Kirk and Commander Taggert is currently being upgraded with 1 corvette, 1 Dauntless cruiser and 4 escort carriers (1 carrier has arrived, another in enroute, and all other ships are still under construction). The fighters for the new carriers are going to come from the Kinyen fighter force (18 B-wings, 15 A-wings and 8 X-wings). Maybe Kinyen needs another Golan III (do the Imperials know something I don't? They have 2 at their main bases)? And one interesting little tidbit, Darth Maul and IG-88 are on their way to Kinyen to rescue either Piett or Wile E. Coyote from Admiral Kirk's 14th fleet. They're not due to arrive for another 2 months. I might have to temporarily move General John Wayne, Luke Skywalker and Ben Kenobi to the 14th fleet to see if they can help foil their rescue mission.

Sesswenna sector:

Not much has been happening here; the occasional Imperial recon, espionage or sabotage mission ... all failing. My spy missions to Coruscant are meeting a similar fate, though some info is coming in. Here is the latest info on Coruscant: 1 ISD, 1 dreadnaught in orbit with 1 lancer enroute. There are 42 Tie fighters (including those in orbit on the fleet), 20 Stormtroopers, 7 fleet regiments, 1 Dark Trooper and enroute are 15 War Droids. I've also started on my secret pet project. It will take some time, but when it's ready I'll see if it works.

Dolomar and Umgul sectors:

Not much happening here. The ASY's are busy building capital ships to upgrade the sector fleets for the impending invasion of Imperial systems.

Moddell and Churba sectors:

Both sectors have had all of their uncharted systems claimed by the Alliance. Garrison troops have been deployed and they are waiting for production facilities and civilians to arrive.

Jospro sector:

The ASY's at Kiffex are constructing their last escort carrier. The ASY's at Douglas III are almost finished with the last of 2 Dauntless cruisers. And the ASY's of Cardooine are producing X-wings. The Emperor and Darth Vader have been good, so far (in their cells).

Raw materials are around 5, refined materials are 0 with maintenance points around 3400.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector.

NEW!!

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 1000, current status. (At day 900, not too much was worth reporting, so I kept on going)

The Imperials aren't really doing much, so I decided to be the one to do something.

Sesswenna sector:

My secret project is completed but the results were not as grand as I expected. Nevertheless, I have initiated my secret plan four more additional times. What I did: I had a corvette in orbit at Bortras and had the ASY's of Averam construct a Golan III to join the corvette's fleet. While the Golan III was in hyperspace enroute to join the corvette, I sent the corvette on a suicide mission to Coruscant. The corvette was easily crushed by the Imperial defenders, but they got quite a surprise a couple of days later when the Golan III showed up! But alas, the Golan III didn't fare too well under the onslaught of over 2 dozen Imperial starfighters. But the concept was proved that a non-hyperspace vehicle (the Golan III due to the battlestations mod), can travel through hyperspace to an enemy destination. I wasn't sure if the Golan III would continue to Bortras (where the corvette was initially located) and be stationed there, or if it would "follow" its destination fleet until it "caught up". Now I know. Usually if you blockade an enemy system, enemy forces rush to break the blockade. But what if your blockading fleet can't flee? And a formidable one at that! Anyway, I sent a small fleet of 2 Dauntless cruisers with 3 escort carriers (all loaded with A-wings) to Coruscant. I shot up as many fighters as possible, then fled the system to limit damage to Imperial capital ships. It took three "raids" to whittle down the defending starfighters. Another corvette was put in orbit over Ghorman, and the ASY's of Averam and Svivren were each producing a Golan III for that fleet. When the first Golan was completed and was enroute, I dispatched the corvette for another suicide run to Coruscant. The arrival of my corvette was a surprise for me ... there were no Imperial capital ships defending Coruscant! My corvette took out the few Tie Interceptors that were left behind. Over the next two weeks, both Golan III's have arrived, putting the planet under permanent blockade! I've sent a dozen A-wings to be stationed on the Golan III's. As soon as extra troops become available I'll move some over there. Coruscant's current defenses are 10 Stormtroopers, 2 Gen Core II's plus 1 Gen Core I, an LNR II battery and a KDY battery. General Griff is in charge with Darth Maul, 6 espionage droids, 2 Imperial commandos and 1 Nogrhi.

Corellian sector:

Not much is going on in this sector for me. I have a reinforcement fleet enroute after some "action" in the Farfin sector. The arriving fleet consists of: 1 MonCal cruiser, 4 assault frigates, 2 Dauntless cruisers, 4 escort carriers and 1 interdictor with 6 X-wings and 29 B-wings. They will join up with the current ragtag fleet (2 corvettes, 1 VSD and 4 bulk transports) at Duros on day 1010. Duros currently has 13 A-wings, 18 B-wings, 18 X-wings and 15 more A-wings enroute. The Empire has been quite busy! Here are the current stats on some of the Imperial systems: Drall: 2 Golan III's, 3 interdictors, 3 escort carriers, 4 Star Galleons and 15 Tie Interceptors; Talus: 14 Tie Interceptors; Corfai: 1 dreadnaught, 1 carrack, 1 lancer and 18 Tie Fighters, 14 Tie Interceptors; Tralus: 3 Star Galleons, 1 galleon and 5 Tie Fighters, 14 Tie Interceptors, 7 Tie Bombers. The Imperials have successfully assaulted Vagran using 1 ISD, 1 dreadnaught, 1 carrack and 2 Star Galleons. I lost 4 MonCal troops to their 5 Stormtroopers and 2 War Droids. A follow up raid on my part (after their fleet left) was unsuccessful. But, a couple of sabotage missions did succeed, throwing Vagran into uprising! There are now currently 7 troops on system, with 113 more enroute! 113!!?? Holy crap! I'm going to wait until they all arrive before sending my reinforcement fleet to blow them away!

Fakir sector:

Nothing much happening here, my fleet patrols this sector with impunity. It occasionally blockades Imperial systems destroying any fighters and garrison troops. Infiltrators take out any Imperial special forces. The latest intel shows an ISD and dreadnaught enroute to Halowan. My improved fleet (5 escort carriers, 2 Liberator carriers, 3 Neb-B frigates, 1 VSD, 1 MonCal cruiser, 1 interdictor, 1 Dauntless cruiser, 4 bulk transports with 61 fighters (mostly B-wings, with the rest A-wing and X-wings, and a couple of Y-wings thrown in) and 36 troops. After finishing off the Imperial ships when they arrive, I'll take the Imperial systems of Delaya, Halowan and Ando; ending Imperial rule in this sector.

Farfin sector:

IG-88 has been captured, but Darth Maul escapes! Both were on a mission to rescue either Piett or Wile E. Coyote from Admiral Kirk's 14th fleet. Byss, Bilbringi, Phraetis are all now under blockade by Alliance Golan III Defense Platforms. Using my previous tactic with the Golan III's at Coruscant, I have again used corvettes to lead the blockade. Minor fighter defenses were destroyed prior to the arrival of the Golan III's. Admiral Kirk and Commander Taggert with the 14th fleet (3 Neb-B frigates, 3 escort carriers, 2 VSD's and 1 interdictor with 24 A-wings, 12 Y-wings), and Admiral Tallon Karde and Commander Pink-5 with my reinforcement fleet (1 MonCal cruiser, 4 assault frigates, 2 Dauntless cruisers and 1 interdictor with 29 B-wings and 6 X-wings) have arrived at Charmath to eliminate the Imperial fleet. The Imperial fleet consists of 2 Golan III's, 1 dreadnaught, 2 interdictors, 2 escort carriers with 6 Tie Fighters and 9 Tie Interceptors. I send the A-wings and X-wings after fighters, holding back the B-wings and Y-wings while the capital ships move up to engage. There are 6 Tasks Forces, all of the "heavy" ships are sent after the Imperial fleet, while the "support" ships are sent after fighters. My capital ships are slow moving and I finally release the B-wings and Y-wings before the Imperial Ties can attack them. The B-wings and Y-wings are heading for a Golan III, while the other Imperial ships try to help defend against the fighters. One lone Imperial dreadnaught heads out to meet my fleet. As the assault frigates and Dauntless cruisers pass the dreadnaught enroute to the Golan III, they each unleash a barrage on the dreadnaught. By the time my ships pass the dreadnaught, it's a floating hulk. My Neb-B frigates finish it off as they pass. The B-wings and Y-wings are hammering the Golan III. After a couple of attack runs, the shields are down. Soon the Golan III is destroyed and the next Golan III has been targeted. The other Golan III shares a similar fate. Both Golan III's have been destroyed before any of my capital ships have fired on them. All enemy fighters are now destroyed. All fighters and task forces are designated to destroy remaining Imperial ships. It's all a formality before each Imperial ship is overwhelmed with firepower and destroyed. Charmath is now under Alliance blockade. I target the ground defenses for orbital bombardment. One salvo destroys the 2 Gen Core II's, LNR II battery and 4 Imperial Army troops. But the Imperial LNR II got off one shot before it fell; taking out 1 escort carrier with 6 Y-wings. Also, in my haste to destroy the Imperial fleet, I have forgotten to bring ground troops for a planetary assault. Now I have to wait for them to arrive. The assault is non-eventful and now Borsk Fey'lya is working on diplomacy.

Glythe sector:

The Imperial system of Sedri has been assaulted by Alliance forces. Although the system is not of any real military value, it was one of two Imperial systems in this sector. Ben Kenobi is doing diplomacy with the local bureaucrats to bring support over to the Alliance. The Imperial system of Elrood is the next destination for the local Alliance fleet (1 corvette, 1 Dauntless cruiser and 2 bulk transports).

Orus sector:

The Imperial system of Poderis has been assaulted by Alliance forces. Admiral Spock with his fleet of 4 CC-9600 frigates and 1 bulk transport has finally put an end to an Imperial presence in this sector. Vanden Willard is working diplomacy. Admiral Spock is enroute with the 4 CC-9600 frigates to Filve in the Dufilvan sector where he will meet up with 4 Liberator cruisers and 2 more CC 9600 frigates. His upcoming mission is to eliminate Imperial forces on Ord Trasi and bring that system into Alliance control.

Kanchen sector:

An Imperial ISD has blockaded Culroon III! But after several bombardments it has failed to eliminate any of the MonCal garrison troops. An Alliance fleet of 2 assault frigates has arrived to drive the ISD off. More Alliance ships have arrived (1 interdictor, 2 Dauntless cruisers and 3 escort carriers with 26 X-wings). The new combined fleet is heading to Munto Cudro to destroy any Imperial ships based there. This sector being one of the last bastions of Imperial power in the galaxy, will have an aggressive Alliance patrol schedule to reduce Imperial power.

Churba sector:

An Imperial fleet of 1 lancer and 1 Star galleon are enroute to Bespin. Bespin is the only Imperial presence in this sector. There are several War Droids and Dark Troopers enroute (some have already arrived). An ISD has blockaded the Tokmia system destroying an Alliance Fleet unit on garrison duty. The Alliance Army unit is maintaining Alliance control on this uninhabited system, foiling all Imperial bombardment efforts. Han Solo is on system and has failed at several attempts to sabotage the ISD.

Moddell sector:

An Imperial fleet (1 ISD, 1 Carrack and 1 interdictor) has blockaded Khuiumin. The Imperial fleet has 3 Tie Fighters and 3 Imperial Army units, versus 1 Alliance Army and 1 Sullustan unit. Why they haven't bombarded my garrison troops and assaulted the system, I don't know. There's only 1 mine on the system anyway.

Dufilvan, Quelli & Calaron sectors:

Nothing of interest has happened in these sectors lately. I'll work on this in the near future.

Dolomar and Umgul sectors:

Not much happening here. All facilities are idle; I don't know what to do with them. I already have enough ships, troops, etc, etc.

Jospro sector:

All is quiet. All facilities are idle and Palpy & Darth are relaxing.

Raw materials are 0, refined materials are around 340 with maintenance points around 3700.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector.

Where or what exactly is the battlestation mod that you use on the golans?

It should be in the "Downloads" section, and it's a program that disables the hyperdrive on a class of ship. I replaced the Corellian gunship with the Golan III Defense Platform (card and models), then ran this program (picking "Corellian gunship" as that is what ship was replaced). In game, all Golan III platforms then have a (red) "X" next to them indicating that the hyperdrive is non-functional. But be careful! Everytime you run "RebEd" you must re-run the battlestations mod (RebEd "resets" the hyperdrive "flag" that the program mods).

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 1100, current status.

I'm on the offensive to end the game ...

Glythe sector:

The Imperial system of Elrood has been assaulted by Alliance forces. Although the system is not of any real military value, it was the last Imperial system in this sector. Ben Kenobi is doing diplomacy with the local bureaucrats to bring support over to the Alliance.

Farfin sector:

The only major Imperial presence on this side of the galaxy is in this sector. Unfortunately for the Empire, their presence has been weakened by the Alliance assault on Tanaab. All remaining Imperial systems in this sector: Byss, Bilbringi, Phraetis, Wistril and Firro, are all under Alliance blockade! Alliance Golan III's are located over Byss, Bilbringi and Phraetis. I don't have all of the necessary troops to assault every system ... yet, but I don't think it's really necessary. The Imperial forces can live (temporarily) on their planets, effectively imprisoned by Alliance fleets.

Fakir sector:

The (former) Imperial systems of Delaya and Halowan are now under Alliance control. Vanden Willard is currently enroute to Halowan for a diplomatic mission, and my invasion fleet is enroute to the last Imperial system in this sector: Ando.

Corellian sector:

The uprising on Vagran has been suppressed by Imperial troops. Bothan spies have determined that there are currently 79 troops emplaced on the surface, with 34 more still enroute. I've dispatched my fleet from Duros under the command of Admiral Tallon Karrde and Commander Pink-5 (1 MonCal cruiser, 1 corvette, 4 assault frigates, 1 VSD, 4 escort carriers and 1 interdictor with 21 X-wings, 7 A-wings and 2 B-wings) to take care of the Imperial garrison on Vagran. I have a "massive" build of infiltrators underway on Duros. The fleet arrives at Vagran, which is totally undefended in space. It takes only 3 salvos from the fleet to eliminate the 79 Imperial garrison troops. Vagran is once again part of the Alliance. The carnage from such a loss is indescribable. Imperial support drops throughout the sector. The fleet heads to Corfai defeating a pathetic Imperial fighter defense of 6 Tie fighters. My infiltrators work on weakening a Gen Core II shield while Bothan spies gather intelligence. A large group of infiltrators is enroute to the fleet from Duros. My spies have informed me that Grand Moff Conway has completed Imperial ship R&D and that Brandei is on the planet. My infiltrators try to abduct GMC, but they are constantly foiled. With the arrival of more infiltrators, I change tactics and abduct Brandei first. I use approximately 30 infiltrators with about 10 decoys to abduct Brandei. Success takes only a couple of tries. With even more infiltrators arriving, I set my sights on GMC! It takes several tries, but eventually I get the ratio of decoys correct. It takes 50 infiltrators with ~15 decoys, to finally capture Grand Moff Conway. Welcome to the Alliance. It's nice to know, that even a Sith Lord has his limits. With one of the Gen Core II's out of the way, I assault Corfai. Another system has now joined the Alliance, and again Imperial support drops through out the sector. I have a major fleet upgrade in the works: 4 bulk transports, 4 escort carriers and 4 Liberator cruisers (with approximately half these ships enroute). Fighters are available, but troops are still needed.

Kanchen sector:

My local sector fleet has been patrolling through the sector blockading and raiding Imperial systems; fighter defenses are swept away and local garrisons bombarded. The fleet is now enjoying some R&R at Culroon III. Intelligence reports show another Imperial fleet buildup at Munto Curdo. I'll wait a couple of more weeks for all the Imperial ships to arrive before departing to go and destroy them. My fleet (1 interdictor, 2 assault frigates, 2 Dauntless cruisers and 3 escort carriers with 26 X-wings) has cornered the Imperial fleet (1 dreadnaught, 1 interdictor, 1 escort carrier, 1 Star Galleon with 14 Tie Fighters, 14 Tie Interceptors and 4 Tie Defenders). My cruisers and frigates are ordered to target capital ships, while all the other ships and fighters are to go after the Tie's. All Imperial ships, with exception to the dreadnaught, are on anti-fighter duty. The Imperial ships are being systematically wiped out while the fighters continue to slug it out. But in the end, it is futile for the Empire: all their space forces are destroyed. I've lost 16 X-wings. System bombardment eliminates 14 Dark Troopers, 3 War Droids and 1 Imperial Army unit. The Davnar and Derra IV systems have declared neutrality after witnessing the defeat of Imperial forces. Jan Dodonna is now working diplomacy on Derra IV. In a few short weeks Derra IV has joined the Alliance.

Calaron sector:

The Imperial system on Morvogodine has been assaulted by Alliance forces. 1 Imperial Army, 8 commandos and 1 Nogrhi have been destroyed. Unfortunately General DarthTex has escaped. Kubindi and Jerijador remain the only Imperial systems in this sector.

Atrivis sector:

The Empire has corrupted the government of the neutral system of Tibrin. I have a medium transport in orbit over Tibrin (it was hiding from a raiding Imperial ISD going through this sector). I've moved 2 MonCals onto the transport, then assaulted the system. Obviously, the system is in uprising, but I have several troops enroute to meet the local garrison requirements, plus Jack O'neil is enroute to put down the uprising.

Churba sector:

Two Dauntless cruisers loaded with X-wings have broken an Imperial blockade of Tokmia by an ISD. Han Solo has been made an Admiral and is enroute to Bespin to chase the Imperial ship. The ISD is not at Bespin, but at least Bespin is now under Alliance blockade. I have an interdictor enroute to join the cruisers to keep Imperial ships from fleeing. A couple of Imperial ships have shown up, but quickly retreated from the Alliance fleet.

Quelli sector:

I have 6 corvettes raiding the Imperial systems in this sector. They have taken out fighter defenses and bombarded local garrisons when possible. An Imperial VSD has shown up trailing my fleet driving them from Imperial systems. The Kirrek system has declared neutrality after the local Imperial garrison was destroyed by my corvettes. One of my corvettes has taken severe shield generator damage after the last Imperial fighter encounter. My fleet is getting some R&R over Corstris.

Sesswenna sector:

Nothing is really happening with Imperial forces on Coruscant. I'm building up my invasion fleet at Svivren with lots of carriers, capital ships and troop transports. Once in sufficient quantity, I'll try to break through the system defenses (2 Gen Core II's plus 1 Gen Core I, an LNR II battery and a KDY battery) and land the troops. My fall back position is to get Snake & his 50 infiltrators to sabotage the Gen Core's.

Raw materials are 0, refined materials are around 1700 with maintenance points around 3300.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector.

Rebel Uprising II!

Day 1200, current status.

I'm on the offensive to end the game ... and the hammer is coming down!

Glythe sector:

Ben Kenobi is doing diplomacy on the former Imperial system of Elrood. Support for the Alliance is ~60%. He's making quick progress with the locals.

Churba sector:

There are two Imperial systems in this sector, Lelmra and Bespin. Admiral Han Solo (with Leia) is over Bespin blockading the system with 2 Dauntless cruisers (loaded with 8 X-wings) and an interdictor, while a single interdictor blockades Lelmra. Imperial influence in this sector has been effectively neutralized.

Farfin sector:

Borsk Fey'lya is doing diplomacy on the former Imperial system of Tanaab. Support for the Alliance is ~60%. All remaining Imperial systems in this sector: Byss, Bilbringi, Phraetis, Wistril and Firro, are still under Alliance blockade. I have four bulk transports (with troops) available for assaults, but things look OK with the Imperials effectively imprisoned by Alliance fleets.

Fakir sector:

The remaining Imperial system in this sector, Ando, has been assaulted! Vanden Willard has arrived at Halowan and is just getting started working over the bad influences from the Empire.

Quelli sector:

My six corvettes have linked up with an interdictor over Corstris, and have been deployed to the Moddell sector to try and flush out an Imperial dreadnaught conducting raids on Alliance systems. More on that next. Other than that, the only thing going on in this sector is the impending arrival of Imperial escort carrier over Amorris, where an interdictor is waiting.

Atrivis sector:

Order has been restored in the Tibrin system. Jack O'Neil is slowly making some progress with the locals to cooperate with the Alliance. Otherwise, the remaining systems in this sector are quiet.

Moddell sector:

An Imperial dreadnaught has been conducting raids in this sector. Most are just quick blockades without event. I initially had a difficult time trying to identify what was causing the problems, as the Imperial fleet would flee before I could respond to the messages. But at the Adega system, the Imperial fleet bombarded the local garrison before fleeing. That's when I learned, the Imperial fleet was a single dreadnaught pulling raids. I have 2 Dauntless cruisers with 8 X-wings and an interdictor at Endor. They are now randomly patrolling the sector searching for the elusive Imperial dreadnaught. To help in the search, I've sent for 6 corvettes (with an interdictor) from the Quelli sector. The dreadnaught eventually shows up at my base over Endor, now that my fleet has left. But it will not help him that much, as I still have 6 A-wings, 6 B-wings and 6 X-wings stationed there. There is no battle as the dreadnaught flees from the incoming fighters. He has fled to the nearest Imperial system, which is ... Amorris in the Quelli sector. I dispatch my Dauntless Cruisers there ASAP, hoping to arrive before he does. The Imperials at Amorris are in for a big surprise!

Calaron sector:

My fleet reinforcements for the 7th fleet over Morvogodine, have been split off into their own invasion fleet. Sarin Virgilio has been made Admiral of the new fleet: 3 Dauntless cruisers, 4 escort carriers and 2 bulk transports (with a good mix of troop types, 7 B-wings and 29 A-wings). The invasion fleet heads to Kubindi. Kubindi only has a couple of Tie Fighters for defense, and they are quickly destroyed. Ground defenses only consist of 4 Imperial Army units and a single Gen Core II. I would like to keep the Gen Core II intact, so I send for some infiltrators. After several days of waiting they arrive; 14 of them. I send them down distributed somewhat evenly to sabotage the Imperial Army. Three of the four groups have succeeded after a couple of days. All returning units are tasked to take out the remaining unit. That was easy. With no ground troops, the assault by Alliance troops is just a walk in the park. Kubindi is now under Alliance control. I've flown Luke in on a corvette to do diplomacy for the Alliance. He's slowly making progress. Lando is having a difficult time with diplomacy at Morvogodine. Jerijador is the remaining Imperial presence in this sector. I may blockade them in the near future to cut off their resources to the Empire.

Kanchen sector:

My sector fleet (1 interdictor, 2 assault frigates, 2 Dauntless cruisers and 3 escort carriers) has been restocked with fighters (18 A-wings & 8 X-wings). There are reports of an Imperial escort carrier enroute to Xa Fel. I send my fleet to catch the straggling ship before it can slip away, with a brief stop at the Imperial system of Vodran. I want to quickly bombard the local garrison, but have run into a problem due to a Gen Core. I send for Jan Dodonna and make him the fleet Admiral. The next bombardment takes out the Gen Core the local garrison, and unfortunately an orbiting shipyard. Imperial support now grows throughout the sector and the Neutral people of Davnar have decided to rejoin the Empire. I can do nothing but push on to Xa Fel. My intel is a little off as there is also an ISD and a dreadnaught with the escort carrier, and all ships are maxed out on fighters (13 Tie Fighters, 2 Tie Interceptors). The Dauntless cruisers and assault frigates are assigned to attack capital ships, with the other ships (and fighters) and assigned to attack the Ties. The Imperial fleet doesn't stand a chance. As the fighters slug it out, the capital ships pound each other. The newer, stronger Alliance ships make quick work of the outdated Imperial fleet. When all is done, the Imperial fleet is destroyed and I've only lost 7 A-wings. Davnar has gone back to being neutral (probably due to the fact that there is now no Imperial fleet to defend them from Alliance assault). My fleet has returned to blockading Munto Cudro (the so called Imperial capital for this sector).

Corellian sector:

Imperial support in this sector has greatly fallen in the last couple of months, and now is the time to push it over the edge. The 17th fleet under the command of Admiral Tallon Karrde and Commander Pink-5 (1 MonCal cruiser, 1 corvette, 4 assault frigates, 1 VSD, 4 escort carriers and 1 interdictor with 21 X-wings, 7 A-wings and 2 B-wings) has been upgraded to now include 8 bulk transports (loaded with a majority of Wookies), 4 Liberator cruisers and 4 escort carriers (with 12 A-wings, 18 B-wings & 18 X-wings). My fleet is now off to take the Imperial stronghold on Drall (2 Golan III's, 3 interdictors, 3 escort carriers, 4 Star Galleons and 15 Tie Interceptors). When my fleet arrives, it's obvious the Imperials are outgunned. All of my ships are tasked to attack Imperial capital ships, and I send them off. I wait for the Imperial fighters to come before turning the A-wings and X-wings loose on them. Several Ties don't make it through the gauntlet of Alliance ships, trying to get to their fighter targets. When my fighters engage, I task the B-wings to attack capital ships. The B-wings beat the capital ships to the first Golan III. The swarm of fighters is too much for it to handle and the shields are now gone. The fighters are on torpedoe runs when the capital ships unleash their turbolasers. With a massive explosion, the Golan III ceases to exist. Firepower from the fleet and the B-wings devastates everything it touches. The remaining Golan III didn't last nearly as long as its predecessor, and the remaining Imperial ships are crushed with a handful or two of salvos. The A-wings and X-wings are sent into the fray after taking out the Imperial fighters. For the massive destruction of the Imperial fleet, I've only lost 1 B-wing, 7 A-wings and 7 X-wings. A single bombardment of the system bring Drall to the Alliance (no assault required). Intelligence reports are coming in from all over the sector. DarthTex has been located on Talus, Imperial ships (stragglers) are enroute to Tralus and Xyquine. I've sent the corvette with Snake, his infiltrators (plus more reinforcements) and captives (Brandei and Grand Moff Conway), to Talus to capture DarthTex. Their arrival is turned back by 14 Tie Interceptors. At this point I split my fleet at Drall. The bulk transports stay put, the reinforcement carriers (4 Liberator cruisers and 4 escort carriers) are sent to Tralus (fully loaded), and the 17th fleet goes to Talus. The 17th fleet easily dispatches the 14 Tie Interceptors, and Snake's ship is brought back. Snake has 64 infiltrators with him. Using 25 of them as decoys, and the rest (39 of them) join Snake for the abduction of DarthTex. But the Darkside of the Force is strong; the mission has been foiled and Snake Plissken has been captured! NOOOOO! I send all 64 infiltrators to abduct DarthTex. Again the mission is foiled, and only 4 infiltrators return! DarthTex has killed 60 infiltrators! NOOOOO! It will take months to get enough infiltrators to try again, or even bring in some characters competent enough for the job. Ugh! I bombard the system and destroy the local garrison. The populace throws off the shackles of Imperial rule and joins the Alliance. Snake Plissken is free, but alas, DarthTex has escaped (again)! The 17th fleet now heads to Selonia, where after a bit of "turbolaser" diplomacy with the Imperial garrison, the system joins the Alliance. The fleet then heads off to Xyquine. Xyquine is lightly defended with 6 Tie Fighters and 3 Tie Interceptors, and they are quickly dealt with. After awhile the Imperial reinforcements (1 Star Galleon, 6 Tie Fighters and 5 Tie Interceptors) attempt to break my blockade. They are utterly destroyed! The local garrison is then bombarded, followed by the local populace joining the "Alliance for Us" parades. Meanwhile, my reinforcement fleet (4 Liberator cruisers and 4 escort carriers) has arrived over Tralus to find 5 Tie Fighters, 16 Tie Interceptors and 7 Tie Bombers. The Imperial forces are destroyed with only the loss of 9 fighters. The bombardment of the local garrison is not successful. The presence of a Gen Core and lack of a commanding Admiral have hampered efforts to liberate the planet. Mazer Rackus with several infiltrators arrive from Duros and proceed to sabotage the Gen Core. After a couple of days the mission is a success! The follow up bombardment proves devastating to the Imperial garrison, as yet another system has now joined the Alliance. The populace on Corellia has gone into uprising over their oppressors! My fleet departs to Selonia to intercept an Imperial ISD that is soon to arrive.

Sesswenna sector:

After most Imperial support systems have been liberated, conquered or blockaded, parts of the Alliance fleet from all over the galaxy will gather at Coruscant for the final assault on tyranny. The time is now being measured in months, after years of hard fighting.

Raw materials are 10, refined materials are around 7000 with maintenance points around 4500.

The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector.

Tex,

This is not how I like the Empire to go. Why not play as the Empire next time around? PLEASE lol.- Grand Moff Conway

 I wish the Empire would kick my arse; at least that would be an interesting game. That's what I'm really trying to do, tweak the game such that it will be competitive despite the AI  I think I might give the AI one more interation as the Empire, before I "switch sides"; but I might put that off, just to help keep your spirits up Paul
