Shortest Game played?

604 days, just today. Hard mode, Large Galaxy, playing Rebels. The AI had the bad luck of having 2 occupied planets in the Sesswenna sector, as well as one in each of the others except for Sluis/Fakir - so I had the galaxy under my control very quickly. I had RebED'd it to make it far easier for the Imperials to produce, something like 50% on most capitals, while it was like -20% for me.

Earlier in the game I captured the Emperor in a freak incident as he tried to quell an uprising. I immediatly sent the ship he was on deep into Hyperspace, he appeared in the outer rim, and I chose the planet on the other end of the galaxy from there and jumped to lightspeed.

The second the ship arrived, 136 days later, he escaped.

Coruscant was lightly defended, 1 VSD, 1 ISD, though most of my fleet was mopping up on the other end of the galaxy. Caps fled, TIEs died, I was trying to Sab his shields so I could bombard. Luke hit the final battle and captured both the Emperor and Vader. I eventually built enough MonCals to punch through. ( I had so many resources and only around 22 shipyards, 5, 5 , and 12 on separate planets ) Finished the garrisons, invaded, won.

The bad thing about the hard AI is that its smart enough to do General Bombardments on sectors you have full control of, its devastating.

my shortest was only 168 days. for some reason the rebs moved the HQ, i hit a core system, killed it. o yeah it was a HQ game.

longest was over 22000 days. no not a typo thats three zeros. i just decided to stretch it as long as i could and annhilate the rebs as thoroughly and methodically as possible. it was fun, too

I got lucky playing multiplayer HQ and the first planet I randomly sent a small imperial fleet to in the rim was his HQ, I bombarded and won in under 50 days. :)

I think my shortest multiplayer Standard rules game was in the 230'ish day mark. I was rebels in this game and rushed Coruscant early into the game capturing and went on a subsequent rampage of Swessanna with my a fleet of strong command characters and Luke onboard. He got into a few entanglements with Vader and the Emperor and leveled up to Jedi Knight fairly early in the game. I ended up having Vader and the Emperor captured not too much later. I remember this because my opponent, who was a clan mate at the time, made a big deal of it and accused me of cheating and swearing there was no way that I could have done that.

22,000 days! WTF. Do the characters spawn offspring that far into the game or do they shrivel up and die?

I know I got to 43,000 by leaving the game on fast overnight and moving all of my fleets and ships to Coruscant so the Empire wouldn't cause any battles.

More than 10% of the planets in the galaxy had been hit by Natural disasters.

*Counts on fingers* ...no it was way more than 10%, had to have been more than 40 or 50 planets.

Recently got the game and i first tried my hand as the rebels and eventually got bored after 2000+ days....Switched to the empire for a small galaxy normal game...i got the seswenna sector and sluis sector under control fairly early on but the rebs got the corellian sector. Grand i blockaded everything and built up enough forces to invade...Bonus is i got my death star finished before day 1000 and blew up duros and yavin because i couldnt be arsed invading and conquering and then swaying the planet to my side

Anyways i found the rebels on a couple of inhabited planets throughout the rim (sent a carrack with 9 probe droids to each sector i didnt own and did recon missions every so often)

Blockaded all the rebels planets and found the HQ in the Yavin sector (cant remeba the proper name) So i bombed the crap out of it...Got vader onto my SSD and made sure that was there and invaded capturing luke and freeing the galaxy!

Did i mention that i captured leia and mon mothma twice?

The space battles were awesome and it was easy to build up a good navy...

Finished around 1600 but it took a solid 3 days of probably 8 hours of playing (recently got the game [without the manual...DOH!] and so im trying to learn all the intricacies of the game :D

Back before I knew of RebED I played as the Rebels, Small Galaxy, medium difficulty. I liberated two of the systems in the Seswenna sector causing the loyalty of Coruscant to shift my way. I tried to go to Coruscant directly, but my fleet of Corvettes with an Escort Carrier was no match for a Star Destroyer and accompanying TIE Fighters. I had to withdraw, but I decided to blockade nearby Ghorman in hopes of luring the Star Destroyer away. It worked. As soon as I saw the Star Destroyer was en route for Ghorman, I booked it back Coruscant. After a long one sided skirmish with the unaided TIE Fighters, I had Coruscant blockaded, but I knew I didn't have much time before that Star Destroyer came back. I had Luke and Han and some Twilek and other pro alien sabetours en tow, so I managed to sabatoge the GenCore Shield (of course Luke had to be a decoy or else he would fail because the emperor). By now the Star Destroyer was a day out, but they still had a KDY Ion gun still functioning. I decided to hell with it and bombarded the planet once or twice. I had an admiral and luck on my side, and Coruscant for the first time in a long time declared neutrality. Luke confronted and captured the emperor as he tried to break through my blockade (with help from my fleet I am sure). I decided to jump out before the Star Destroyer arrived, and I guess my stylish good looks or good sense of timing appealed to the inhabitants of Coruscant, because they immediately joined my cause.

That was day 125 and the crazy thing is this was actually standard game victory conditions. Don't ask me how I captured Vader before hand because I have no idea.

KDY's are only effective against planetary assaults; they do not effect orbital bombardments (that's the job of Gencores and LNR's)
Finally, after years of hard work I am the Supreme Sith Warlord! Muwhahahaha!! What?? What do you mean "there's only two of us"?
