    Shiplist

If the SSD is made more to what are now known to be the specs, there is nothing in the Rebel fleet to match it. Look in Solo Command, it takes a huge force to attack the Iron Fist, and even then it escapes. Or the Bacta War, with the Lusankya. You can't really destroy a ship the size of a Super Star Destroyer anyways, just totally strip it down to a hulk, with the exception of an incident like the Executor crashing into the deathstar.
  2. And I believe, ladies and gentlemen, that ends our debate. Excellent point Elvis.
  3. Say it was set shortly after the Thrawn trilogy, around I, Jedi. In comes the Federation, allies with the Republic, and then you think, bye bye Empire. But wait, here comes the Borg, temporarily allying with the Empire (secretly planning on assimilating them) and now you've got a fight on your hands.
  4. Again, Spoilers, highlight to see After the battle and the Enterprise has rammed the Scimitar (which was one of the coolest shots of the film, having the two ships mangled together) both ships are left dead in space. The captain is stuck on the Scimitar and so Data literally jumps from the Enterprise to the Scimitar to go rescue him.
  5. SPOILERS (highlight to see) So I saw Nemesis on the weekend. While it was not nearly as good as Wrath of Kahn or First Contact, it is far from the worst. Several very cool things, like seeing the Enterprise E in some really good battle scenes was awesome. Also, the end scene, with the Enterprise E in drydock, was totally reminiscent of the opening of Star Trek: The Motion Picture with the Enterprise A in drydock. It was a very well done scene. It did however run on a bit long, and Shinzon was not that great of a villian. And there were several way too cheesy parts. Overall though, the second best Next Generation film. I hope they end up making another sort of next gen film, or at least one involving Riker and his new command. The rest of the series really don't intrique me. Ah, well.
  6. OOC: Diggins, stuff that happens in your novels is all well and good, but it is entirely irrelivant to this RPG, which is quite seperate from your novel. Cool? Good. Glad we had this little chat.
  7. In both cases ultimately it comes down to who is commanding a vessel. An idiot with a Star Destroyer is now match for a master tactician in a Sovereign, or perhaps a brilliant TIE pilot against a moron commander with a Galaxy class. A ship by itself is nothing, it comes down to the commander.
  8. OOC: The only problem with the whole UCOJ stuff is that nobody else has a clue what you are talking about with it.
  9. But Igor does have a point. Star Trek shields are designed to prevent beaming. Star Wars probably aren't. Also, I don't remember who, but the point about the Borg adapting is quite correct. And where Star Trek can change the frequency of their weapons, Star Wars cannot. So alright, a Star Destroyer gets a few shots on the Borg cube. Then it adapts. So much for that.
  10. The only problem with Thrawn is that he bases all his knowledge on art, and the predictability of the enemy. What happens when he faces an unpredictable enemy such as Kirk? Kirk was down right nuts and totally unpredictable. He destroyed his own ship in order to destroy his enemies. Thrawn can't fight what he can't predict. And I have to agree with Elvis that it wouldn't be a straight Star Trek vs Star Wars fight. Differant groups would probably ally, such as the new Republic and Star Fleet. Others, such as the Borg, would probably not ally with anyone, just assimilate their cultures.
  11. Yeah! I'm all about the abstract outside interests, such as squirrel fights.
  12. Can you tell if a fish is male or female just by looking?
  13. Nah, I just have a really big garage..... =P
