  1. I saw on the sins forums that some people were wanting better descriptions of the ships so newcomers can better calculate what each one does so I rewrote all of the CIS ship descriptions, if you like it I can go and do the republic, empire and rebels. Hardcell Transport: Fast scout, nice n cheap. Ideal for late game scouting. Diamond LCG: The Commerce guilds mine layer and sweeper ship. Geonosian Piniance: Good for early game scouting, can also sweep minefields. C-9979 Transport: This ship carries the main assault forces for planetary invasions. This vessel also carrys necessary crews for seizing abandoned ships and neutral facilities. Trafed II FG: Converted freighter, cargo holds modified to hold missile launchers. Useful for early assault, significant damage when grouped. Patrol frigate: This vessel is equipped to deal with enemy fighters and bombers by means of flak guns. Trafed Carrier: A true multitasker, this ship carries assault forces capable of capturing neutral planets and neutral facilities, it also carries a large amount of mines and buzzdroids. The ships shields offer significant protection also. Lucre hulk core ship: Iconic spherical ship, medium turbolaser firepower coupled with with medium strength shields makes this an ideal early cruiser. Bulwark MKI CG: The techno unions greatest asset, heavily armoured and armed to the teeth. Good for filling out fleets later on in the game. Recusant DD: A more heavily armed anti-fighter cruiser, when deployed en masse they can usually overwhelm larger ships especially when they start using their unique kamikaze codes. Munificent S-CG: Good long range cruiser with a deadly planetary bombardment cannon. Providence S-CG: A good all round heavy cruiser, large fighter compliment, large attack and large shields. Whether deployed alone or en masse they are a danger all but the heaviest ships. Lucrehulk DCS: A droid control ship wich can co-ordinate attacks on planets and better improve efficiancy for ships around it, massive fighter compliment. Lucrehulk BB: The true battleship of the Confederacy, massive attack with planetary embargo abilities and complete with a huge fighter compliment, useful when assaulting enemy factions. Providence S-CG (cap ship): A heavier version of its cruiser cousin, better armament and a larger compliment of fighters. These ships have also been fitted with banks of torpedoes for extra damage on the hard targets. Geonosian SDN: A ship thats big in every department. It has a superlaser capable of massive damage to even the most heavily armoured ships and an ability that does immense damage to enemy planets. Subjagator SBB: Huge armament and massive shielding, once the shields dry up there is enough hull points to allow for a quick escape. Able to act alone on raiding missions deep behind enemy lines.

    SVN Update Log

It means that the ship will function more akin to how the MC80 SFRS or A-vek Iiluunu are used by the AI, a ship with multiple uses (these two ships do not have the Colonizer frigateRoleType). It also will still colonize planets, thanks to the ability being set to automatically fire off. Also, it will not be autoswarmed as how colonizers usually are. The Trafed specifically will be used as a mine layer, carrier, and anti-fighter cruiser. I've also done some more tweaking to the cruisers' frigateRoleTypes (namely got rid of all the Carrier ones, the AI wasn't using it well) and slightly boosted the Lucrehulks for balance. I am liking that idea.
  3. I'm a CIS fanboy and I think his point has some validity, I personally hate trying to distinguish my providence capital ship to cruiser prvidence ships (close up and far out) can we modify them a bit? Not sure about the empire but we give the capital Providence some warpaint or something like that? Better yet transform it slightly to look like some of the modified versions of the providence ships http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Invincible_(dreadnaught)
  4. That worked, great map. 1 question, how do I make myself spawn in other locations? I've tried both old republic and CIS and both start on corusant.
  5. ahhh no, as soon as I click the big yellow download button the page goes to all the writing :\ no option to save or run comes up.
  6. First impressions... wow I like the planet variety but they feel... a little weird, maaybe I need toplay more but the planetsall seem to be colossal compared to old sins generic planets. Also I dont like the extra large planet icons when you zoom out, bit chunky imo. Also this volcanic exploitation research... holy smokes guys couldnt you have made it only need 5 civ research stations instead of 10? Other then that its all cool for now.
  7. Checked, all works no crashes or freezes... far out that was a jump from 1.0E to this, amazing work guys.
  8. Could I apply for the beta test, my mantis ID is: DeathKnell

  10. mmmmm.... I'm not sure but when I click download it just comes up with a whole heap of text relating to the map, what do I do? *panicks* I'm assuming it has something to do with galaxy forge?
  11. BRO your questioned was answered, STOP TROLLING! On a side note, mods awesome guys lovin it!
  12. Well the genosian pinniance is total rubbish Hardcell thingo is a good scout because of its boost ability Trafeds arent bad though I wish they had a little more range, they always end up half way between enemy ships and mine (in battles) Patrol frigate ive never used so cant comment landing ship is alright I suppose, everyone needs a colony ship. As for the Cruisers, there adequate.
  13. Used to be even between old republic and CIS but I've been all for CIS now, used to be a pure love for providences and that cool airship sound but now I appreciate every ship.
  14. I must be the only one but my favourite is the Lucrehulk DCS... So innovative and strange, I like it!
