  1. The problem with using that as a base is that fighters are small, so small that you have to zoom in a lot to see them. As such, you cannot see much more than the fighter itself. Due the scaling of SoGE, there is no realistic way to measure the firing range and speed of fighters ingame. You're right, but making them both slower and their firing range lower would help a lot on that, so we're back to my first post in the topic.
  2. Yeah I know that you know how it looks like... Would be cool if someone started modeling it. Honestly, if someone explains me how to start making 3d stuff I'd do it myself, I suppose that's quite a lot to speak of though. You still don't get the point of this. I said change models but you said those SDs look the same anyway, so you can't edit them, so I said make them smaller/bigger to have some little difference between them at least, I also said get Acclamator, Victory and Vindicator to have more Star Destroyers models and variety, but you said you won't make them.
  3. I base my opinion on locking my view on a fighter with cinematic mode on, when they shoot you can't see enemy fighter squadrons that are fighting, at all. It's like they shoot aiming at nowhere but they still hit.

I didn't say change the models in the last post, I said get other Star Destroyers to have more variety. Also, it would be nice to make capital SDs bigger or cruiser SDs smaller to differ them.
  5. I'm now using Teksi, a freeware screenshot/video taker program. It works fine and I can make screenshots that take less than 5 MB space. http://taksi.sourceforge.net/ Sorry for double posting.
  6. This mod is ok. As I said in SOSE forums, I don't like the firing range being too high, but you don't want to change that. Still, the fighters/bombers firing range should be changed... it's unrealistic. They are also way too fast. If you make them slower and low their firing range you could make them fire the same amount of bullets they fire now from a larger distance. It's so unrealistic seeing fighters one-shooting each other without even having a view of the enemy ship. Also, if you played a X-Wing series game, you'll notice how fighters are way too fast here and even when attacking capital ships the firing range is much lower that it is in SOGE.
  7. Those 4 SDs still look the same all the time, there's no difference between them, all the Star Destroyers look the same, it's like playing with the same ship type while they are actually 4. Having different SDs models will bring more variety, just because one ship is included in a faction it doesn't mean it shouldn't be included in another one. Empire and Republic have a lot of different ships anyway and will still be different with 3 common ships...

  9. I know they aren't there on purpose, but they should be, they are actual Empire ships. For cruisers, then it would be nice to make them smaller, or make capital ships bigger, just to distinguish them. I've never played the New Alliance faction so far, so I can't actually say if SD cruisers are too strong and would benefit an "adjustment" for the game balance. Though, as I said, the Acclamator, the Victory SD and the Vindicator should still be in the Empire faction. It's like playing the Republic without the Venator, or the New Alliance without some Mon Calamari cruisers.
  10. Yes mate but I can't even take the screenshot, it doesn't work. Though there's another option, I could reinstall the free Fraps version, use an external website to upload the image and then post the link on the bug reports. It would be very useful for the bloom issue post and indispensable for another one.
  11. Nothing, I reinstalled the program but it still doesn't work. Does anyone use any other application for screenshot and tell me, please? Some stuff is almost impossible to report unless I post a screenshot...

In the game they actually behave like a bit less powerful capital ships, not like cruisers." That's a report I've made on mantis, maybe it's better to post it here if someone wants to discuss it.

  14. Well this is weird, I downloaded a (cracked, honestly, I don't want to spend any coin to just take screenshots) full FRAPS version, everything is ok but when I press the screenshot button nothing happens and no screenshot is saved.
