  1. I understand that it's a lot of work, but what I don't understand is why you say that it is impractical. I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm simply trying to understand.
  2. How hard would it be to make some of the ships upgradeable with modules? A great many SW ships are described as modular and often upgraded, the most notable being the Correlian ships. This would allow a certain level of customizstion and add a little more variety without extra ships.
  3. I haven't finished the series (I just finished Force Heritic 01), but you have to remember that the Vong are fundamentalist religious fanatics. Their hatred of machines is no different, and no less rational, than that of certain modern-day Fundamentalist Christians toward medical research. As for personal equipment, Amphistaves and Crab armour were extremely well defined in Traitor, where as the bugs were defined elsewhere in the series. The only thing that is truly illogical is the dovin basal, and that is inconciveable only if you insist that gravity generation is neccesarily power consumptive.

    bugs in .6

The lateral turrets on the Nebulon-B can turn a full 360 degrees and kan even fire through the hull, effectively doubling the firepower of these turrets. Also, the Imperial Venator gives off the wrekage from the Republic ship, with the bright red stripe clearly visible.
  5. Death stars may be impractical, but what about the Pulsar Station (X-wing: ISard's Revenge)? While that was never built canonically, it was designed. It was significantly smaller than the death stars, so it might work.
  6. If I remember correctly, the Bothan Assault cruiser, while powerful, was not well-shielded enough to take on a ISD head on. According to Wookiepedia, which tallies with what I remember about the class, shield power was only 150% of the VSD II. The version modelled in Warlords does not tally with this. I have had one take on a fleet of twelve ISD IIIs, obliterate them, all without hull damage reaching 50%. Does anyone else think the ship is overpowered?
  7. According to background text for the Star Wars D20 RPG, (Which is canonical, unlike the game statistics) the Venators were retired because they were too expensive compared to the Imperial Mk. I Class, which could be mass-produced easily. The Venators also had problems from the fact that the construction was rushed.

    A few bugs

The Rebel frigate that carries a gravity well generator. (I forget the number) has the description text garbled. I extracted the .big file, but I can't see anything wrong in the description file. Also, docking is really difficult to do. If you order multiple figter squadrons to dock, then one will dock and the others will just hover behind the carrier ship. Mole miners actually pass through the refinery ship model when delivering resources. Finally, the mole miner animation is a bit screwed up. (Focus on one and follow it to see what I mean.)
