  1. Im Back! Sorry people, Ive been incredibly busy lately, you know, college AND Im actually programming my own RTS game (got bored with modding, decided to create my own from the ground up)...My EAW mod is on hold for now, but Ill still be hanging around. What bug did you need my help on, 1upd?
  2. Haha...cutting polys is easy. Take this example, I just cut a 600,000 odd poly model of 86 megabytes (wow) down to a 4 megabyte (I forget the new poly count)without losing much quality. I can do the Samus model for ya, no problem.
  3. Heh...LOL everyone, false alarm (a bit) it performs perfectly still on my main PC...actually, it seems that all AI is not working on my laptop now, mod or not (wtf?) Im still on track....oops!
  4. Hey all..I have a new and frustrating problem. ALL AI in my mod that uses BasicEmpire or BasicRebel (i.e. Vong, Son'a, Rebel, Empire, CIS, UNSC, Covenant) No longer works. The basic fighters just sit there and dont move, the stataion never upgrades, etc. i have not made any modifications to the AI scripts in a LONG time, but they dont work anyway. The only one that works is the Consortium's script, and it performs like nothing is worng...any ideas?

  6. I know that description, but I preferred to use the more technical one... But its always easier to make a concept if you actually know for sure what the object you are modeling looks like.

I dont want high poly models, Im trying to keep the size and system reqs of my mod at a miniumum. If you want two squids kissing (pervert ) you can make that yourself. Oh, and 1upd, it doesnt appear in any of the games. As a matter of fact, there are no pictures of this craft in existence. This is all from my imagination.

  10. Hey guys got 2 questions for you... Number one..I have a few models that will not show their textures. I know the textures are applied and all, but when I view the models in game or in ALO viewer (which, by the way, says the textures were loaded) they just appear as a dull gray. How do I make the textures show? Secondly, Ive been trying to make a space artillery cruiser with a siege particle beam based on the lancet's. However, when I deploy the ship, though all hardpoints are correct and all firing data from the lancet is in place, the ship WILL NOT fire...at all...do any of you know why?

You get around the hardcoded issues by using the hard coding form another faction to help out....If my CIS acts like the consortium in some cases, its no biggie....so long as a human can use it and enjoy it. Im actually deciding whether or not I want to make my own GC campaign for my mod...what do you guys think?
  12. Im actually doing my best to make them all fully operational. The only current issue is a lack of fully coded ground forces (damn animations)....But I will release what I have on Friday, here exclusively, and hopefully you guys can assess the pros and cons for it so I can have a well made beta....And no, Ridley is NOT in my mod.
  13. Nice Job so far!!! Yeah, I ran into a bit of a knot thats gonna push my release back...so whatever.... : Anyhoo, the Starvipers are not flying cause you gave them ground coding. If you are trying to get them to "hover" above the ground (like a t2-b tank), you will have to redo the model to position the ground's placement below said model's root bone. I can do it if you want....or just remake the model to look just like a sentry drone....but whatever you want. I am working on Ridley for you now. UPDATE!!!! Hey all...I found the bug in my mod (Lucrehulk MKII model) and am back on track. I found that I can compress the file down to 100 megs, so it wont be a horrific dowmload....I will be releasing an alpha on Friday, exclusive to these forums, so get it when you want!! Note: This alpha is only a test...UNSC, Vong, and Covenant will only be marginally operational, and most units will lack animations....but other than that....Itll be what you get in the final!
  14. I honestly haven't touched them for a while...Ive been focused on other things. BTW, Quadraxis will be in my mod, but I dont have a place for ridley, unless you can think of a way to meld him into my universe....
