  1. I am gravedigging this topic as opposed to making a new one since I have volunteered to help EJ with a few aspects of getting his KotOR ships game-ready (be it for HW2 or for SINS). Basically this is what I'm looking at: Retexture the Hammerhead-class Cruiser and Foray-class Blockade Runner to match EJ's other ships Texture the Inexpugnable-class Tactical Command Ship, Centurion-class Battlecruiser, and Republic Carrier Model and texture the Kyramuud-class Battleship, Jahavey'ir-class Assault Ship, Praetorian-class Frigate, and Quartermaster-class Supply Carrier Eventually texture EJ's strikecraft models if I finish the list above Glowmap EVERYTHING Total Capital Ship list with that work should look something like this: SITH/MANDALORIANS Centurion-class Battlecruiser (Sith, Ravager) Interdictor-class Cruiser (Sith, Leviathan) Kandosii-class Dreadnought (Mando) Kyramuud-class Battleship (Mando) Jahavey'ir-class Assault Ship (Mando) REPUBLIC(w/Jedi?) Inexpugnable-class Tactical Command Ship (Courageous) Republic Heavy Cruiser/Destroyer Hammerhead-class Cruiser Foray-class Blockade Runner Republic Carrier So if anyone bothers reading this board still feel free to comment lol.
  2. Yeah, I'm popping in here just to say hello. Lead (and sole) creator of the Tides of War: Clone Wars mod which is now pretty much just a memory (on how we yearn for the good old days... and yes, I ganked Dev's systems with his permission). EJ and Skyblazer both know me and my work. Anyone else who wishes to know me can hit me up through MSN Messenger or Yahoo Messenger: arvis1804@hotmail.com OR barraganap on yahoo messenger (I do NOT have a yahoo email account, my sn is just barraganap and that's it)
  3. Venator

    I did it!

[cheer]Hooray![/cheer] *moves along to model other spiffy things*
  4. It's from Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault.
  5. Wow, for a star destroyer that design isn't bad. I prefer the "non standard" look on star destroyers like the venator and such so this one really isn't that bad. ;D
  6. Overall, I liked the episode. But then again, fill a BSG episode with lots of FTL jumps, battles, or other visually appealing matter and I'll be happy as a clam, so I'm hardly ever disappointed with an episode of BSG.
  7. The Venator-class Star Destroyer all the way. It is faster than a CR-90 (canonly) plus packs enough firepower to take out just about anything smaller than itself and even some ships that are bigger. That, and it carries over 400 fighters. ;D

    Scenarios

I thought I would post this little tid-bit for canon effect. ;D Second Battle of Coruscant (19 BBY) Galactic Republic: 900 Venator-class Star Destroyers 5,400 ARC-170 Squadrons 28,800 V-wing Squadrons 28,800 ETA-2 Squadrons Confederacy of Independent Systems: 26 Lucrehulk-class Battleships 6 Providence-class Cruisers 700 Recusant-class Destroyers 1,200 Munificent-class Star Frigates 62,600 Vulture Droid Squadrons 34,200 Tri-Droid Squadrons Now, if we play our cards right, this battle should last 18 hours and the Republic should win with 2/3 of their forces left and the CIS should run with less than 1/3 of their total forces left. But in all seriousness, the Second Battle of Coruscant is really what I am looking forward to with the addition of the remaining Clone Wars ships.
  9. It has been stated somewhere (I believe it was the Essential Guide for Vehicles and Vessels) that the Eclipse's superlaser could take out a city but not an entire planet. That said, the Eclipse doesn't stand a chance against the Death Star. The Eclipse would fire and the Death Star would likely get tickled and then fire right back, annihilating the Eclipse as easily as it annihilated Alderaan.
  10. It's called CINEMATOGRAPHY people. It's much easier to get large expansive views of battle and make awesome panoramic shots from bridges that have huge windows rather than a bunch of radar screens. Star Wars was really more about telling a story than it was about "let's analyze all the technical aspects and ensure that they all make sense to prevent overtly interested sci-fi nut-jobs from poking holes in our dramatic means of telling that story." And the only reason I can call people sci-fi nut-jobs is because I AM a nut-job. ;D
  11. My current turret model is 1144 polys. Still a bit high for Warlords but it suits my needs for use in Freelancer.
  12. I'm personally a big fan of the episodes "Resurrection Ship Part II" and "Exodus Part II". Big space battles, lots of action, interatmospheric FTL jumping, the works. Not only that, but BSG seems to have some of the most realistic and believable space-based action that I've ever seen.
  13. My turret model, EJ's expert texturing. They are just a rough approximation of what the turrets looked like in Episode III. I have actually done a more detailed version since then but it may be too detailed for use in Warlords.
  14. Vent = Venator??? Also, just for clarification from a post on the first page, the Invincible-class Dreadnaught is NOT the ship General Grevious commanded in Episode III. The General's ship was a Providence-class Command Cruiser named the Invisible Hand. Just thought I would clear that up.
  15. Actually, the Venator is great for walking into a brawl with as long as the ships you are facing are of the Recusant, Munificent, or other assorted Separatist variety. ;D
