  1. ISd's are tougher. Though the Basilisks are still up to date. And still feared. It's relative. I read Fett is currently in the post NJO era overhauling a Mandalorian Frigate, upgrading it somewhat etc. They are not high tech but very sturdy. But a Stardestroyer remains top notch.
  2. There are a lot of Mods for all installements of the Dark Forces series except perhaps the first one. You got Dark Forces, Dark Forces Jedi Knight. (Mysteries of the Sith expansion too and a second expansion i forgot the name off), Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy.
  3. I loved Jedi Academy. Though nr1 remains Jedi Knight. Mysteries of the Sith was the worst ever. I have rarely seen such a messed up thirdgrade game Oo;.
  4. Does anyone have the event pics from Rebellion in a normal format. (just to have them for my pic collection)
  5. True but than the Dark Jedi should be really pricey. Same with Jedi. Also the Darkside really needs a COOL replacement for Darth Vader. Thrawn is a worthy replacement for Palpy. But what char could at least stand in Vader's shadow. Who is there Brakhiss, Dessan, Jerec, Kueller,...
  6. For starts he has a partial point on the EU. Sometimes it's brilliant but sometimes a mess. A great big contradictory mess or worse... . And indeed the Rebels in the later EU rise to power like nothing. The way the Empire disintegrated so easily and all was absurd. And the fleet even without Palpy's psy boost at Endor would still ahve destroyed the tiny Rebel Fleet after the end of the Death Star. But good... heroes have to win. It's a basic moral in almost all tales. (except those marvelous Comics about Vader or Fett lolol) Ties are off great modern technology yes... BUT that doesn't mean they are stronger their point is to be easy to maintain and easy to produce. Think of the Russian Tanks in WOII. Is logical. Plus... the Tie is less resistant (smaller) but faster than most Rebel Fighters. The Empire however has Fighters who outclass most Rebel ones. As for the clones their rapid aging and the fact they have short lifespans and all. Plus the cloning i doubt continues. (recruitment from populace and all) Or if it does they'll need to add to the whole normal people to be able to man the Empire. However the EU now cotnradicts itself and suddenly Clones are seen in the ranks after all these years (lol) and I even have a comic where Vader talks about it. Have some more made etc. And yet again... the questions are all perspective bound and the EU fails to even give a definitive answer on a lot of things. (New EU will contradict old publications like the Jango Fett/Boba Fett mess)
  7. Conclusion... we have none. Like usual. SW universe is massive and well though out but at times... unclear... undefined or paradoxal. A shame lol. Sometimes it feels like discussing DBZ powerlevels and abilities lol. It's all perspective.
  8. I know but than again. SW is filled with the good guys winning with cheap tricks. Luke defeating Vader with barely any training? Breaking through the defence of a guy with the strength of 10 wookies? Or the death of Darth Maul which was cheap too. Maul isn't Vader but he could give him quite a fight. And Obi was really weak than. Lol. But it's the 'chance' factor which is pretty present in Rebellion. So a wimp could in theory take out Vader or Palpy... even thoguh that's absurd. Is why i edit the stats of Vader and Palpy a bit as i play. Vader even a bit stronger in combat and force. Palpy better diplomat and even more forcepowers.
  9. The Classic Trilogy and the New Trilogy are both better than the Lotr Movies. The Lotr movies take 2nd place in my eyes. But that is because I'm more pro the books of Lotr.
  10. Pretty similar to my strategy. What does the bonus actually mean? What is the effect? As for defence. Do you put it everywhere or do you tone it down. Do you keep single shipyards, barracks etc on planets or do you replace them for resources? For specialized worlds 4,5 or more of the same? Is the SSD worthwhile?
  11. That's just a whole lot of the EU rubbish made in the latter era. They totally messed up the SW concept there. Lucas vision is very clear... The Chosen One rises... becomes a hero... than a villain. His son rises... becomes a hero and turns the villain to good. The Chosen One reappears and kills the Emperor. That's the plot of the Saga. The structure. All that stuff about another chosen one... the NJO thing and all. I really hated it lol. But i suppose that's perspective. Some swear by everything the EU says. Others swear by what Lucas says and some others choose a middlepath. To me... the Chosen One is Anakin Skywalker.
  12. It wasn't Anakin Solo. It was Anakin Skywalker who did by bringing forth the beginning of the end for the Empire. Lucas himself confirmed it as do alot of EU stuff. Luke was the turning point off course giving Anakin the final push to embrace his destiny. (by pleading unheroically) Anakin was the chosen one. No doubt about it.
  13. I'm not good with graphics and all so for the experts here i have a request for 3 Char cards. 1) Mara Jade as Emperor's Hand. (black costume, purplish cape as you can see in comics and on cards) 2) Korbain Thor (Darkside Bounty Hunter with lightsaberblaster as seen in Broken Allegiance. I have some pics of him. http://www.brokenallegiance.net/ 3) Boba Fett lol (: I'd especially like the first 2 to give my Imps 2 believable decent force users. I use Jerec alot too as he's a believable char to have around in the Rebellion Era but he' just not the same without Yun and Sariss around lol.
  14. In game i first go for TIE advanced than TIE Defender. I like the defender. Though my favourite fighter is Vader's Tie Advanced X1.
  15. Dark Troopers I doubt will exist still. Would not be realistic with the Remnant era. Dark Jedi would. But i agree with your second comment. An AT-ST unit or a mechanised regiment would be interesting. And some other units. Because the weaker Imperial Regiments are boring like hell (:
