  1. Cogs are turning, have no worries Cheers! Brad
  2. good call. waiting to hear back from EvilleJedi.
  3. Thanks for the info! successfully got tractor beams up and running! would it be ok for me to make the modded files available for download? I've only ever modded for my own use on my computer so not really sure what to do there, and also want to not steal the thunder from SOGE. I'm not really sure what the proper way to do all this is, so if anyone has some insight, that would be great! Once again, thank you all and I hope I can help our group in any way possible. Cheers! Brad
  4. Hi all! I'm new to here, but have been modding SWRebellion and SOASE for a bit now. Thank you so much for putting together the SOGE beta mod! I was able to successfully merge the mod into the 7SINS mod, no glitches, to get a sense of what its like to fight on a more even tier and utilize alternate planets (I figure at some point we might have a few custom planets like Coruscant, Kuat [and by extension Kuat Drive Yards], or even the Katana Fleet drifting in a system waiting to be reactivated. Also revamped modded ships stats so it is actually more balanced (I lost my first star destroyer yesterday), ship powers (put the Ion Cannon on the ISDs), and reworked the scope of the powers so that they A) deal with the extra gravity issues, particularly for bombardment, colonization, attack targets, and capital abilities, and B) to better reflect what powers the ships might have based on lore. Currently working out a way to capture enemy ships (Tractor Beams!!!) so I'm deciphering the codes for 7SINS. Props to the 7SINS guys and to you for SOGE. I hope the melding I have been working on is kosher by you guys as far as testing out balance of ships goes. Thanks again for providing the SOGE mod, I look forward to the next installment. Cheers! Brad
  5. General Ferrion Caxo Rebel Male Human Ferrion was the Imperial base commander on Coruscant when it fell to the New Republic. A Rebel sympathiser for years, he, and those under his command, defected at the time the Rebellion attacked Coruscant, helping them to conquer the planet more easily. Well respected by his troops, General Caxo was a loyal imperial until he was forced as a Colonel to slay several hundred civilians who were thought by Vader to be rebel spies. The final straw that brought him to the Rebellion was the mysterious dissapearance of his sisteer and her family on coruscant monthes before his assignment to that position. She had been a senator, but she had supported Palpatine in his rise to power. During his personal infvestigation, all he could finds out was that her neighbors had seen red-claoked Royal Guards at her house, and after that, none in her family had been heard from since. All questions to authorities came back negative. General Caxo is adept at defense and ferreting out spies and interlopers. He was also a key figure in the adaptation of the AT-ST walkers from the older models used during the Clone Campaigns, 20 years earlier. His unswerving loyalty to the New Republic, and insights into the inner workings of the Imperial Army have earned him a place of respect in the Alliance Military. I figure most of the alliance military we don't already know about from the established universe is probably an imperial defector. Who better than the base commander from Coruscant? =) Brad Reinhold Dark Forces
  6. Ursula Zymanthe Female (same species as Aurra Sing) Ursula was a force sensitive bounty hunter who drew the attention of the Emperor. Trained slightly in the Dark Arts, she was one of several candidates for The Emperor's Hand. Halfway through the training elimination process, Palp[atine instituted single elimintation rounds into the training, so that only the most battle hardened of the recruits might achive the position. Ursula vanquished all in her path, but fell at the hand of Mara Jade in the final round. Instead of Executing her, Jade chose to spare her life, leaving her near dead on the forgotten world of Wayland along with the Emperor's Vaults. After recieving some cybernetic replacements for her damaged left arm and both legs, she returned to the Emerpor's service, vowing never again to be bested by another, and determined to prove her capability and quality. She is currently stationed at Fondor, at the training facility for the Imperial Guard. She is a top-level expert that is often assigned to missions which require finesse and discretion. She has also quietly kept up with her training in the Dark Arts, though she is no match for a true Force wielder. Combat: 70 (30) Espionage: 80 (20) Leadership:60 (20) Diplomacy:10 (30) Force: 100%, level 30 No Research ability 100% Loyal (Will Not Defect) May Not Train Jedi Recruitable Imperial Admiral: No General: Yes Commander: Yes ///////////////////////////// Feel free to adjust stats or history. I always wondered about the other force potentials besides Mara Jade that might have "interviewed" for her position I figured that most would have just died in elimination tests like all other sith (KOTOR Sith Academy was my idea) who would try to get to the top, but since mara had a good shred in her, and since the emperor showed some compassion in episode 3 (personally, I thought he would have killed Vader out of hand simply for failing at his task and becoming useless...but apparrently he lets those who fail live... so that gave me this idea) Hope you all like Brad Reinhold Darkforces
  7. here's the problem, at what point are you planning for the TC to start? after ep 1? at the end of ep 2? at the end of ep 3? Also, no way I can see to do the whole anakin conversion. Closest thing would be to have Anakin be in place of luke, have Yoda be in place of Mon Mothma, and have Mace and Obi in place of the others, then have Count Dooku and Sidious in place of vader/palpatine. That way, the confederacy has to recruit members, a realistic thing given the nature of the separatist high council.... Sidious had to recruit all the leaders of it, and Greivous didn't rise until later on. On the other hand, the Jedi Council were around before the clone wars. I dunno. I think it will be fun, mostly because of the new units, but I think it will take some massive rewriting / editing if you are going to change some of the fundamentals to better reflect the nature of the clone wars. Again, good job!
  8. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that the worst Star Wars trilogy ever written is in my humble opinion the Jedi Academy Trilogy. I'm sorry, but as is posted regarding Darksaber, another Kevin J. flatback, he's obsessed w/ super weapons. And the stupid ship he designs, well, it does cool things, but its invincible. Don't get me wrong. I love Daala (I do! my fiance even looks like her!!!). On the whole, however, I must say that that trilogy is terrible. (and yes, I've read the others so I speak not from ignorance )
  9. Is there a reason that Kuat or Rendili systems in the game? Maybe I just missed them, but I don't remember ever seeing them, and they aren't in the encyc. Also, can't remember if there is a Carida, Raithal, Corulag, Eraidu, Gall, etc. Finally, is it possible to make it so that you have a Nal Hutta and Nar Shaada right next to each other, since one is themoon of the other? Thanks, and sorry for asking if these questions have been addressed. Seriously, there is no Kuat or Rendili! Thanks
  10. THis game is the Fzzzvzzzolte I love the game itself, and the fact that you are working on modding it to star wars.... One quick request: Is it possible for you to have it be 10 systems/map, and 20-50 maps for the whole galaxy? I realize this would be a ton of work, but perhaps there is a way to randomly generate the systems in the first place, then mod them from there? One other quick Q: Have you found a way to incorporate a 'Galaxy' map into the game, so a player can look at the galactic overview (besides just the Empire pop-up)? Sorry, I guess I'm the wierd one on here, but I always like bigger grander strategy than small localized ones. The great thing about hegaemonia was it was kinda both. I just remember always being disapointed in how few systems there were on any given map sequence. I do not ask this with nothing to offer. If you can show me where to get the modding programs, I would be willing to help Anyways, regardless of the rest or anything else, THANK YOU FOR MODDING HEGAMONIA!
  11. I figured out how to use ResHacker to edit some text, but I still am unable to use RebEd to edit anything other than stats. I don't even have a greyed out box or anything that might let me edit. Anybody got any suggestions?
  12. lol I played in the same tourny and lost 1st or 2nd round. There were some crazy decks there
  13. try http://www.ccgworkshop.com
  14. I'm not great with computers, but I'm willing to try to help (if you need it). What I am decent at is writing and grammer checking (i.e. I think I could tackle some of the Encyc entries or text, or just make sure the text reads well). Let me know if I can be of use: tbreinhold@hotmail.com
  15. I play the game actively There is a lot of skill needed to play, but it is a lot of fun. The company that made it, Decipher, lost the SW Liscence a few years ago to Hasbro, but many of the players got together to Create a Players Committee (PC). They have been releasing online 'virtual' sets for several years now, and hold a $1000.00 World Championship every year at GenCon Indy. If you want more information, check out http://www.swccgpc.com
