  1. Congrats, Tofu! My advice to you is to avoid drinking, smoking, and anything else that will jeopardize your chances at graduating at the top of your class. Now that I've given you the traditional answer, just have fun. Truth is that as long as you have your degree, employers will rarely care about the GPA. The important thing about college is that you learn about your major. If you can do that while going on one of Mad's famour benders, then great. Just make sure you're getting what you want out of your degree, and you'll be good to go.
  2. I'm ranked #1 in my law school. I'm known for wearing formal wear (long black sports coat, dress slacks, white opera gloves) and turning the top 10 students in the class into a quasi student government organization. I'm known as the guy the other students want to be.
  3. Hey Tex! Yeah its been a while. I'm in Law School now so I haven't had time for fun, plus after I finished my TC back in '06 I was kind of burned out with the game (imagine trying to do something akin to Reloaded all by yourself!). I came back because I got an email out of the blue from someone asking how to do my quick-fix DLL replacements. I've forgotten how to do anything with Rebellion, but it made me miss the old forums and how helpful you all were. Thought I'd drop in to say hi. As for the wiki, great job Mad! This is a game that is in need of documentation since its hard to find info on it. This is making me miss Rebellion Maybe its time for a reinstall.....
  4. As long as both players have the same data then you can play multiplayer. However if you have different models then it doesnt work and the game crashes when it attempts to go into a space battle. Presumably if you never get into combat then you can play with different models, but what would be the point?
  5. Yeah I'm back Tofu. I took a nice long break from Rebellion modding to work on a M.U.G.E.N fighting game based on the characters in my URPG Supremacy patch. Now I'm bored with fighting games and want to re-do some of my old work. I popped in to see what new models were available and see how everyone is. Good to know you're still as hyper as ever .
  6. Toguro Ani is a character from an anime I watched, and one of my all-time favorite villains. I tacked the Admiral title on it to make things more Star Warsy. Same with the picture editing.
  7. I'd really like to avoid doing that, since all my custom backgrounds, voices and movies would be deleted and I dont have the backups on this computer!
  8. Happy new year everyone! Its been a while since I made my last TC, and a lot of things have changed in the text RPG that its based on. In short, I need more characters and ships. I got a new computer for Christmas and I moved my game files over to the new computer. I downloaded Rebed from this site to begin working on the changes, but I ran into a problem! I launch the newly installed Rebed.exe (v.26) and it says "Rebellion not found. Bailing out", and closes. I copied and pasted Rebellion in its default location (C: Program Files\Lucasarts\ Star Wars Rebellion), and when I click Rebexe.exe, the game runs perfectly. Why won't Rebed work?! Please give me a hand if you can. Thanks. --Toguro
  9. Yeah. When I get out of the dorms I plan on getting one of these http://www.bestboids.com/jungle/junglecarpet.jpg they could use a nice guinea pig every week or two
  10. Okay, my turn: 1 leopard gecko, "Cubone" 1 central American Banded gecko "Vyers" 1 Emperor Scorpion "Noodle" 3 Corn Snakes "Flonne", "Sevitt", and "Egg" 1 Apricot Pueblan Milk Snake "Lamington" 1 Green Iguana (almost 12 years old) "Iggy" 2 dogs "Lucky" and "Munchie" 2 Cats "Pretty" and "Boo" 1 Rabbit "Chip" 1 Chinchilla "Korby" 1 Turtle "Angry Turtle" 2 Firebelly toads "Floppy" and "Polonius" I had a python, but it suffered mortal injuries and I had to euthanize it . Rest in peace, Normande.
  11. I loved the Clone Wars miniseries. Animation lets you do more cool stuff for less cost, which is great for a TV show. Needless to say, I loved the Clone Wars miniseries. I think a cartoon would be great. If any of you watch Anime, you can see that cartoons don't always have to be for children.
  12. The talk of game creation in the Rebellion editing forum has given me an idea. What if I created a "Super Smash Brothers" style video game based on the URPG characters of my game? It'd be great. Anyway, I don't know where to start. I want to use 2d sprites (which I will have artists create). They'll walk around in quasi-3d environments, not unlike those in Empire at War, performing moves assigned to button presses, like F1 for this attack, f2 for this one, etc. Which programming method would be best for this? Visualbasic, C#, Flash, maybe? This will be my first step in programming, so hopefully something easy to learn. I do catch on quick though. Also, is anyone on this forum a talented MIDI maker, or know someone who is?
  13. If it was that easy, you'd have done it by now. Making games is hard, otherwise everyone would be doing it!
  14. I just went through my old Playstation games and dug out one of my favorites: Monster Rancher (Monster Farm in Europe, I think). Anyone play it before? You put a CD into your playstation and the game reads the subcode and creates a monster unique to that CD. You raise the monster's stats through work and training, and then you battle agains tthe NPCs or a friend. Unlike Pokemon, there is no RPG element. Its a simply a breeding sim. For anyone who likes this sort of game, you should give it a try. The game is like 12 dollars on ebay. Whats interesting is that this game is in a few ways similar to Rebellion. You send your character out on missions (trainings) to further your cause (build stats), all to prepare for the fights. Like Rebellion, you can really get into micromanaging your schedule, or you can automate a lot of it and just relax. Most importantly, both of them are the kind of game that you can pick up 10 years after you buy it and still enjoy it.
