  2. That is extremely awesome... I'll chat
  3. I just remembered about Empire at war..... That kinda screws up "Galaxy at war".... don'chya think? Because that is an official LEC release too... :S
  4. SithMaster... You're gonna have to send me that E-Mail again.... I've been having computer problems and I had to format my computer... along with all of the e-mails on it ..... anyway... I think the most important one was that engine.
  5. excellent In case anyone cares (I don't care if these get used or not... they're free so what the hell) I updated the name of the invision free forums I made.... http://s7.invisionfree.com/Extent Meh. This is sounding really cool so far Any news on the document so far or teams?
  6. Your Nickname: Vector Biggest Problems With SW Reb: Lack of diversity of characters and ships, also the space combat engine *shudders* -ONE BIGGIE- That the Rebels can NEVER rebuild their HQ if it gets destroyed. Features You Liked the Most About SW Reb: The overall style of the game. Features In Other Games You Want Included: Other Must Have Features: 3D GUI, Hyperspace routes. MUST be able to concentrace multiple facilities on multiple planets to "mass build" to one location, also control over each individual facility rather than having to select them as a group. Also power generators to add on to the "maximum world power" idea, ie you have to build a generator (or one is built) for each facility, and are succeptable to destruction but are easier to replace.
  7. I'd just like to ask if we're thinking of names for the engine or names for the starwars mod to be made, because for each of them we'd need to have a different name, for example we don't want to be calling a generic engine something to do with starwars when in fact it has nothing to do with it... But for the engine I think you added my suggestion - The Extent Engine, for the sw mod i actually really like Galaxy At War (Mad78's idea)
  8. hmm... Well we could always just name the project after the engine... something like (Throwing random names at you all!!! Mwahahaha) Actually.. I just thought of a really cool name Extent ty to thesaurus.com ^_^ whaddaya reckon? (for the engine only, not the sw mod) I need some sleep... catchya in 8 hours or so
  9. Oh.. I saw that in the document... thought that was what it was getting called.... :S I'll have to change the name then..... Any suggestions?
  10. For the convenience of all involved.... Look HERE I made us some forums so we don't have to sift through the SWR forums to keep track of the project
  11. 1. I would like to be leader, or co-leader if you will, but if that's not possible then I'm fine with that 2. I'm an experienced programmer, mainly in the field of visual basic, i've been meaning to learn C++ for quite some time now. Trust me when I say it won't take me long to pick up, all I need to know is the specifics (ie names etc of different objects, and the basics of either directX or openGL depending on what we choose to use. At the moment i'm doing quite a bit of flash programming.... it's actually rather refreshing to do a little media cross programming.... Anyway enough about that. I'm in as a programmer and / or leader. Oh yeah, I did try to start my own (you may have noticed in one of the other posts ) This could actually be done if we could somehow gather all of the people that previously stated their intent to do this. Please get back to me on danielkerr@dodo.com.au (msn) Raytrace88 (AIM) or danielpkerr@dodo.com.au (e-mail) note the p in the e-mail but not in the msn, that's important. I'd really like to see this go through... Hope to be a part of it
  12. I'd Gladly learn OpenGL, If i knew where to get stuff on it, ie the SDK and some tutorials/help files etc. I Will learn it if that's what it takes.. Any pointers? (PS i've tried googling it before but to no avail.... i can't search for crap)
  13. It's mainly used by web managers who need to upload files onto a server. Personally, I Use FTP Explorer (FTPX), you should be able to google it and come up with a demo or something
  14. I think the fact of the matter is that they don't think they could make profit from developing SWRII. So what we'd have to do is show them that alot - and i mean a hellavalot - of people actually want this game, which i don't think we can do. But, it would be nice to develop SWRII, because then we could actually play the bloddy thing!
  15. You don't even have to produce anything, you could just be concept design, eg what are we going to do kind of thing. Everyone is welcome and all the help we can get is needed. I've produced a forum for SWRII called "The Project" (Doesn't give any name, ie so i cant get the shit sued out of me... ) Anyways, if you wanna talk about it just go there Um, seriously, it can't just be one person, can it?
