  1. They both ride up to their chests, and cloud seems to tuck his into his shoes or something. Plus they both have some kind of suspender thing going on. They're both kind of lanky and skinny. I don't know, you just look at them side-by-side and its...creepy.
  2. Nothing to do with Star Wars, but...eerie anyways: Look at the pants. http://www.gamecritics.com/feature/artgallery/ff7/art01.jpg http://www.sethargabright.com/urkel.jpg
  3. Like I said, I'm open to suggestions...
  4. Krytos made a nice program to get the order of the turns, you can download it here
  5. !!!! "Hotmail has permanently blocked the following potentially unsafe attachment(s): XandY.exe (0.68 MB) More Info... " Now MS hates me too! I'll be on MSN messenger if you don't mind sending it that way...
  6. I wish I could program better than I can, its too bad. Thanks Krytos, I know for a fact I could not do what you did (because I just tried and failed! )
  7. I've been fighting with Rapid Q for a couple hours now...and I can get it to make a GUI and receive input, as well as output it to a textbox... However, as soon as I try to get the input into an equation and then output the result to the text box, it returns me a value of 0 as the result ARG! I hate programming! Especially when I'm trying to muddle my way through without knowing syntax or operators or whatever the hell these things are called. I wish I knew what I was doing! It all seems so easy in my head, but the computer doesn't seem to see it the same way My email is nsman at hotmail dot com
  8. fighters and cap ships are treated as characters Of course, this is just a suggestion, if you want to do something different, that's fine with me. This is just all I know, and I'd be glad to try something new.
  9. ...Or, if someone wouldn't mind giving me a crash course in syntax...I'd do it myself
  10. Sweet, so does anyone want to volunteer for GM? I'd love to do this, but I don't have the time to GM. I have an old character creation set of rules from an RPG group I used to belong to, its pretty simple, but requires a randomizer and a program to determine turn order (I lost the turn order program, but I requested a programmer to make a new one in the general discussion forum...but so far no takers ) I'll paste the old ruleset here if you want to read it, it involves combat and character creation only, so its pretty short. ----------------------- Strength(Str) --- Strength + Weapon = How much damage you deal out Stamina(Sta) --- Damage - (Stamina + Armor) = How much damage you actually take Constitution(Con) --- Constitution x 3 = Your health Intelligence(Int) --- Intelligence x 3 = Amount of points you have to perform actions That part was easy. Dexterity(Dex) --- Chance out of 100 that your action worked (Maximum value of 100) (Use a randomizer, like Dice Roller 1.0 http://www.paonline.com/zaikoski/ak/tools.htm ) A little trickier, just use a randomizer for a number out of 100, and if its lower or equal to your dexterity, it worked! Speed(Spd) --- Determines when you take your turn, put your speed into the calculator (Will provide URL when the calculator is written) and the calculator will say which seconds in game time you will get an action. So if your speed was 50, and your opponent's 30...the calculator would output: You: 50,100,150,200... Opponent: 70,140,210... So the turns would go: You, Opponent, You, Opponent, You, You, Opponent... so on the 3rd turn, you would get to go twice, because you are faster than your opponent. If the seconds are the same, you would have the person who had their turn most recently go last, and then move to the person who had their turn the longest time ago. So you would take turns doing actions until somebody's health drops to 0 or below. ----------------------- Of course, these rules require HONESTY, but I think we're all ok with that!
  11. I heard some people might be interested in a more structured RPG than the freeform that is common around here...so let's discuss this further. First off, we need a few things: 1)GM/Dungeon master...etc... 2)rule set 3)a board to host it I don't want to be the GM, its too much responsibility, and I honestly don't have the time. As for rule sets, I suggest some light stuff, like a freeform story with a structured combat system and basic character creation. Nothing too fancy. As far boards, we could possibly host it here, but I don't want to piss anyone off, so I'm open to other suggestions...just so long as we don't get too many people in on this. Too many and it will get too complicated.
  12. I'll start a new topic then! All who are interested, please redirect yourself to the thread: "Structured RPG - 0C"
  13. I don't care which language...I just need an executable file, that's all...and yes, I could probably do it in excel I just need an executable with some kind of GUI I just thought of something that could make it fancier, if there were two inputs for x, and it produced two columns of output, so you'd have like: 2 | 3 - | - 4 | 6 - | - 6 | 9 etc... I wish I knew the syntax of like, SOMETHING, because I bet I could just program this myself...its just like one formula, a couple of inputs and a simple GUI...oh well, ignorance isn't bliss all the time! I just had another cool idea, instead of two separate x's, if you could put in a value for x, and then it outputs one line with the set number of values: 1,2,3,4,5 and then if you enter a second value for x and press the ok button, it doesn't erase the first set, but adds more on a second line, so it would be: 1,2,3,4,5 2,4,6,8,10 and if it could save this output to a text file! Perfection. Although, I still need the value for y...so it would need to be able to output 100 numbers on one line...maybe that wouldn't work...unless there was an elevator bar or something. Oh yeah! Also if it could have a separate section where it generated a random number from 1 to 100! And maybe another section where it will compute the result of a string, like "1+1" outputs "2"... I think I'm getting too excited though, AND in over my head. The first design is really all I need.
  14. Hi, if anyone out there knows how to program, I wonder if you'd mind making me a simple one: 1) Receives a number as input, and sets that number as "x" 2) Receives a number as input, and sets that number as "y" 3) Outputs: (101-x) (101-x)+(101-x) (101-x)+(101-x)+(101-x) etc...until it produces y numbers of output That would be so awesome, you would be my hero. Thanks!
  15. Do you people realize you've talked for 15 PAGES about star wars starfighters???? I know we're all nerds here, but... I can't believe you find this THAT interesting!
