Alright, there are several parts i want to fix/present in this message: First: Due to recent notice by Evaders99 that such a project may infringe on Lucas Arts copyrights the following steps have been taken: A e-mail has been sent to Lucas Arts asking for permission to utilitize their copyrights in this project The goals of this project have been changed until further notice: it will continue to easily allow mod writting, but it will be changed from a specific game to a game engine, with the features built in such as diplomacy and tactical engine, but most aspects will be loaded with the mods Please note that this was one of the goals from the beggining As such i also wish to have several official mods that come with the game engine I have many ideas on how to improve the fleet combat screen And as a final request. please do not post features in this topic as it will get to long, just post it here in the rebellion 2 forum as i routinely check it for new ideas. you may also go to the project page and submit ideas in the feature request feature: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=add&group_id=99864&atid=625566
  2. You make a good point about copyrights, i did a little research and found that i can pursue for permission, do you think i should? second, you don't think it would fall under 'fair use'?
  3. Thank you both for your support, i have started writing out an overview of what will be in the new game, it will soon be published and after such time i would love it if any features are missing
  4. I have become impatient of waiting for the developers on this site to release their Reb II so i have decided to make my own. If any one is interested in assisting in the development of the game i am currently looking for more developers, project manager, and graphic designers, creative thinkers, doc writers, and maybe positistions i have not thought of yet. I will try to incorperate as many ideas on this site and others as i can as they are all good. The game is being writting in C++ with directX. and it is open source so that you can all see the progress at any time project page: https://sourceforge.net/projects/galemp/
