  2. playing as a rebel i still have to capture vader...even though vader is a rebel! i thought of that as well obi-wan, but equations wouldn't be in data files would they? the main galactic map is based on x and y locations. the equation would have to factor in x and y for both sectors, and then do something with the hyperspace value. high school was a long time ago lol. i used to know how to do this math stuff. editing the base value would do the trick, but where is it!? i use hex workshop v 3.11, old school, almost 5 years old. does the trick though
  3. well your question got me looking, but i could not find anything that would differentiate han solo's rate of travel with mon mothma's. i took a look in the mjrchars.dat file and it's pretty easy to differentiate one character from another once you know what you're looking for. i did find one unique identifier with han solo, but adding that value to another character caused the game to crash i did try swapping the values, which seemed to have no effect on the characters rate of travel. i did manage to swap mon mothma and han solo, so that solo starts at the rebel hq and mothma starts at yavin. i also had vader to join the rebels, but that's it perhaps the variable you're looking for is in another file, or hard-coded as evaders said.
  4. well you could make him force-sensitive, but that wouldn't follow the EU, which is why i think he isn't FS in the first place. but then again why make Chewbacca able to be FS?

  7. bah, turns out it was just a fluke. what i did was change the outer sectors to behave like core sectors. you get control over some of the systems in the outer rim, but it's completely random like the core systems. didn't realize it until i made all the systems colonized. stupid rebellion.
  8. dude sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. i was able to make some systems in the outer rim to belong to the empire at the start of the game!! on day 2 i had 5 systems in the outer rim. mind you half the systems are in uprising but who cares huh? the reason i had 5 systems was because i only edited 2 sectors. perhaps if i edited all 20 sectors, the empire would have 30-40 systems at the beginning? who knows. yay me!!

  11. nope. corsin is the new coruscant. hehe. in the systemsd.dat file, 0901 defines coruscant and 0801 defines corsin. what i did was i switched these values. same for yavin. not that it matters though. http://www.curtron.org/reb/sysed.html
  12. for the first one, this is what i was able to accomplish: http://www.curtron.org/loyalties.jpg i know it's a horrible picture but let me explain what i did. i basically changed Coruscant to Corsin. Corsin is the heart of the Empire now instead of Coruscant. and Kashyyyk is now the new Yavin(picture was taken on day 2). i believe that this is the extent of what can be done with system loyalties. from my experiences, neither of those can be done. :/ although i will keep trying!
