    I had the same problem and I believe I've fixed it. ::Knock on Wood:: Everything installed correctly and I've just started a game, so so far so good. What I did was followed the instructions in this link. Mine worked after doing Step 17. Here's hoping everyone else has the same luck. I'm running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 1.
